@@R_Y_A_N23 I've never been branded or tattooed, but I know a girl who got a little heart symbol branded, and it really sounds like just a shittier and more painful tattoo. Hers turned out good, but showering was apparently awful for around a month. The bigger the brand is, the longer it takes to heal (and the more attention it requires). You have a far higher risk of health complications, and no guarantee that what you're branding will come out cleanly once it's healed. People don't have the skin of cattle, if that shit scars weird or even worse, you get a skin infection from it, your brand can turn into a blob of skin with no resemblance to anything that just needs to be removed. If you really just like the look of those types of body modifications, you're better off looking into scarification. That's basically just cuts with a scalpel, so it takes far less time to heal and is infinitely more comfortable to walk around with while it's healing. Again, I haven't done that either, but I've had a tiny chunk of skin cut out with a medical grade scalpel without any local anesthetic and it wasn't very painful at all. Honestly all it felt like is if you run the edge of a fingernail hard against your skin.
@R_Y_A_N23 my branding was for a gang. It hurt like he'll. I actually did feel pride I felt like I was one of the elite group within the group. So my experience is different but the same in a way. If you have any other questions I can answer them.

@goldfishy I think it's about responsibility and owning consequences. I'm just old enough and young enough to straddle both sides.
