I love the subtlety of that last scene. Seriously like how she slows down her way of speaking so it's absolutely clear to him and only him that she loves him .
That’s exactly what I thought. Shows self-awareness, humility, and deep feeling for him.
She knows how indecipherable she sounds to everyone, including him. But for those three words, she polices herself and makes it crystal clear.
The look on his face after speaks volumes.

@@dennisrambo1983 I am from Texas a well - and lived in several parts of the state. I have heard several people talk like her in the western parts - but even then they are laying it on thick for show - so you are correct about the overacting.

What's great is that she left out the door without a goodbye knowing he'd come out after her.. And if he didn't then it was basically over. But he did so she told him she loved him. Great scene.

For me it’s not even the way she slows down and enunciates the ‘I love you’, it’s that she doesn’t wait to hear it back. It was enough for her that she got to tell him.
When she thanked him after he fished her out of the river and covered her up... she was genuinely grateful and showed her vulnerable side for the first time. That was when he fell in love with her.
Colby is an odd one though. Teeter is one of the most loveable women ever. Wouldn't have taken most guys that long.
Oh whatever. Speak for yourself. Teeter is a fun and entertaining character, but she is loud, vulgar, chews tobacco, and is just all around masculine and butch as hell. Might as well be dating a dude. It's not very attractive.

The carnival scene is an example of rule of life. The world has all the tricks to oppose your success and potential, so you should never doubt your ability to be great, don’t have to try hard to be great, just be yourself and believe in yourself. Also it good to have Teeter as a good luck charm. Don’t let anyone hold you back from your potential. Don’t ever change if what you doing is working out.
Never forget that underlying message.
The most normal thing she's ever said was that she loves him. There's something poetic there!
He tried protecting her from the horses and then took care of her so sweetly. That was nearly a good as the goodbye.
I love the romances on here, because most are instigated by the women. I am proud to be that kind of woman...my husband never stood a chance.

TBF, her accent isnt a real texan accent, its also not a true THICK southern accent, look up some videos... its rough and im from the south.

Their relationship was so funny to watch... So many great playful moments... Unfortunately it took a serious attack to bring them closer together. But they persevered. The last scene was the best... They are so good together

God damn why did I choke up on this last scene why do I like actually why do I love Kobe and tears so much it was actually teeter that grabbed my attention because she is just so peculiar and funny and likable not sure about relatable but just a quirky lovable character with so much heart didn't pay Kobe much attention at first but he seems to be a character written with so much character so much dignity so much self-respect He's like that guy that you can count on that doesn't have anything bad to say he does have fighting with and sarcasm which makes him all the more interesting but him and teeter together are like yin and yang and they fit perfectly and I'm not even ashamed to say that they kind of choke me up I'm not even a romantic but there's just something happy about those two I really can't think Mr Sheridan enough for writing these two characters and for writing that crazy dialogue that comes out of this girl's mouth you know he writes that and she speaks it the way he writes it he spells it for her and she came up with that drawl herself Ms Landon did that on her own
