This is one of the best povs I’ve ever seen on this ride. It really highlights how smooth it is.
It’s not that smooth and Shawn would’ve had Hypersmooth on his Gopro which smooths out vibrations

@@Taipanser I’ve been on it, I went on it the opening year and probably about 50 times after that. I do know, compared to other Australian Rides it’s the smoothest and known as the best attraction. I would like to know if you have even been on it?

@@Taipanser Mate, don’t be a drongo. That’s what rides do, they get older and slightly less smooth for various reasons. I’m not an idiot, but I rode it a month ago, compared to other rides (eg, Superman, Gold Coaster, Scooby Doo, Etc) it is a remarkably smooth ride. Although I would probably say it is equally or very slightly less smooth to Steel Taipan, it can’t really be compared to it because it’s only like a year or 2 old.
So to summarise:
~ it is smooth
~ you need to stop being a drongo
From a 14 year old, I first rode this when I was 11. Holy I was scared for my life. But after that first drop, I already knew the hardest part was done, don’t worry. This coaster is completely safe and smooth. It’s my fav coaster. I love it.
Isn’t it funny the way how you’re so nervous at the beginning of the roller coaster ride but then at the end of it you think to yourself “Oh that was nothing really?”

Last time I was here I didn't go on this because I was really terrified of roller coasters but now I became an addict on them. My favourite so far was the Steel Taipan at Dreamworld. I'm coming to Movie World on my birthday which is just under a month away and I will try this.

Glad you guys finally got to try it out, but holy crap this video really shows how much the paint has faded since opening. Hoping that a repaint is on the cards soon for this ride :)

They started a repaint of it last year, but they're doing it in sections over time due to the ride's size. You can see where the new paint meets the old at 01:04

I went on this yesterday and honestly one time was enough. You're only locked in by the waist and not the shoulder, nothing to really hold onto and the first drop is insanely steep.

Just went on this today. First rollercoaster in 20 years. Went on my own because was with my pregnant girlfriend and 3 year old son. Scared the f**k out of me. Glad I did it tho. I actually watched this video before I went on the ride 😅

Went on this today as my first ever coaster and almost lost my soul lmao

Great coaster with great twist and turns The drop is ok but u get a nice view from the parking lot but when you get down the drop it goes great The conversion fits this hyper coaster even with the back seat behind the coaster You guys had the best time on this coaster

This ride was smooth went down the big drop then blacked out when I hit the first bump then re emerged in time for the corkscrew loop
I went on this and it’s worth it

Hey Shawn and Charlotte. I'm curious as to your thoughts about how coasters ride differently when the train is empty except for yourself, and when the train is full. Do some elements go faster and others slower?
Usually the ride runs slower with less people on!

This coasters looks like it has terrible pacing issues, it’s practically crawling towards the end
It doesn’t feel like it on ride, with those final hills offering some great airtime!

@kevin DC Rivals is a good coaster but prefer EGF. I’m not a big fan of the Non inverting loop as it give me a little whiplash, and the bunny hops at the end sometimes bruises my thighs. EGF is much more smoother, more airtime and comfortable trains. more re rideable. See you soon old friend.
