Same. I'm so glad Rachel shared a bit of her experience, because I've listened to Keith talking about his side of things on the Try Pod, and re-watched the Broadway pt2 episode two or three times now. The emotions are palpable, it clearly meant so much to them, and it's made me tear up each time.

Zach’s fashion has really improved because he finally found clothes that are true to him. He seems so much more comfortable and confident and happier about what he wears. I agree with Matt that fashion is more a journey than an end goal because as you get older, you see things differently and your always changing. Wear clothes that bring you joy ❤

I absolutely want to hear a podcast of just Keith and Rachel talking through the Broadway experience. That is forever one of my favorite Try Guys videos; Keith makes me cry every time. Okay, now I’m crying again.
In regards to what Rachel said at 27.50, I literally took a 2 hour nap in the movie theater while watching the new Avatar movie when my son was 4 months old. It was the first time we had a babysitter to go on a "date". We got to the theater, I saw the comfy recliners with heated seats and decided like 3 minutes into the movie that I would rather take a nap. Best nap of my life. No regrets here.
funniest movie theatre situation: went to a small, art house type theatre to see Zola. some older folks - maybe early 60s - must have not cared what they were seeing and didn't know the story. about a third of the way through, they started getting loud about how "inappropriate it was" and how they needed to leave. very clutching my pearls type of moment. the whole crowd laughed and clapped when they left. it was a hoot.
I love that Maggie said that Zach’s clothes are for his self-expression. Clothes are such an extension of self so it feels a bit intrusive to apply your values to your partner.
Great episode as always, thank you for having this conversation. It's so important for people to be able to have honest conversation with their friends, especially now when most of us are dealing with real issues in our lives. I think you guys are awesome humans with great things to share with your audience.
Very important to be transparent with friends and money because not having the same understanding can ruin an otherwise good friendship and most ppl dont mind paying back or taking turns paying you just have to have an open conversation first
So the podcast currently uploads around 5:30am nzst and I almost always fall asleep halfway through the episode bc I’m just so comfortable sitting with y’all. 💖

It’s okay to remind people. I am great at paying back but terrible at remembering. My friends just remind me and I never mind and am actually glad at the reminder of the amount. As for the fashion question, for events my husband and I talk to each other so our levels match. If it’s for everyday we keep our mouths shut. That said, I’ve noticed people have become a little too casual at weddings where the dress code is not casual. I try to remember that not everyone can afford really nice clothes so to cut others some slack.

My heart when the dislike for Derek Klena in Moulin Rouge was spoken 💔. Aaron Tveit was incredible but Derek is phenomenal too. I love the musical and love how Derek and Aaron internet their roles. Give it another chance!!!!

I'm 100% with Rachel on the partner fashion! My husband, bless his beautiful soul, wore cargo shorts like almost daily. After dating for a couple years I started suggesting he tries one new pair i chose while I shopped and would compliment him and whistle. 8 years later he's no longer a cargo short wearer. Yay! He still can't pair colors well but sometimes I'll make suggestions or just let him be. 💜💜
The Hamilton tour was just visiting for my birthday and my husband and I are hooked!! We are debating Six or Hadestown!!
You can’t go wrong with either! I saw both touring companies - SIX in Chicago, and Hadestown in Detroit. SIX is definitely more fun, but the production value (and the band!!) of Hadestown is hard to beat!

@@tc2904 The only thing I ask of him is he tell me he's out of shampoo/soap/shaving cream/razors and even then it's touch and go. Love him to death and he's a great partner but I'm also not sure how he kept himself clean when he lived alone 🤣

I appreciate Rachel talking about Hadestown touring company because I've been debating buying tickets. I may just continue to enjoy the cast album.
I have a huge pet peeve when someone knows they owe you money and you are forced to say something because they haven’t paid you. Specifically for me with a family member who made an agreement to pay me once a month for their car insurance and they rarely pay me until I say something. I hate asking for money I’m owed. It’s recurring. If they can’t remember it’s not hard to put a reminder on their calendar in their phone. I use it for reminders all the time.
Ask if they need an invoice/billing statement
Agree!!! Worse when they owe you money, and you know they know, and you see them splurge on a bunch of crap without even a hint of paying you back. I feel you shoudnt have to remind someone to pay you back if you lend someone money. Its different if splitting a tab as that is easier to forget, but if you lend someone x amount of dollars, it is sooooo disrespectful to have to reming someone to pay you back.
I got engaged on St Patrick's day. I had green nails and a bright yellow/black stripped overalls for a theme dress up day at work 😵💫.
I started crying in the cinema during Brother Bear. I cried so loud... in hindsight, I should have walked out but I was like 11, didn't dare to move.. People were staring as we walked out at the end..
Hands down the best Broadway musical I’ve ever seen was Kinky Boots. No question. I saw it twice in the same week when I was there in 2017 and I’d watch it a million times more
The thing about friendship etiquette and money in my opinion, if you've shown someone trust by paying for something/lending money, it's the right thing to do to pay them and give them peace of mind/reward them for trusting you. But the reality is, if a friend hasnt paid you, it's not productive to just wait for them and not say anything so you just gotta remind them hey pay me back
Burger recommendation next time any of y'all are in Northern CA: Gott's Roadside (Napa & various other locations). They have tons of vegan options, customizable options (esp if you order via the app), and most of the vibe is to use locally-sourced ingredients. Def a bit more pricey for a burger though

That wouldn't be enough for some people. They'd be asking for her to address it. She may not want her personal life on social media again. If she wants, she'll be back.
She is a mother of two going through one of the most difficult things someone can go through. She was betrayed by her partner and the whole world had to see it happen. Not only that, but was also betrayed by someone who she thought of as a friend. Give her a break. I know your intention is good but I don’t think these comments are very kind looking at the whole picture. I can only imagine how that would feel.

I know what you mean I miss Ariel too. I doubt she will be back anytime soon or at all anymore. I hope she does what is best for her and continues to thrive in whatever she chooses to do.

Burger joint recommendation coming in.
So folks in Seattle are going to fight me for this opinion, but best burger joint in the puget sound is Frisko Freeze, Tacoma. Yes it’s not modern by any means, but the bun and the burger and cheese are beautiful.
Next time you fly to Washington state - drive to Tacoma and you won’t regret it.

I will just let people borrow and not worry about it. If it gets out of hand then I put a stop to it. There are some people I know are not responsible and I just know that about them and don't put us in a position to have to pay for things....I enjoy their company and understand that is going to happen.

I just wanted to put it out there in the YCSWU community. I miss Ariel so much. I was about to comment on the halloween episode when Rachel kept talking about June and poppy. I wish I could hear Ariel's excitement for the boys I miss hearing her take on things. Gosh I wish she was back! but no pressure on her. It would just be nice to have her once again and hear her talk about anything!!

I love my boyfriend, and generally do not care how he dresses, but it makes me feel uncomfortable when he tries to wear extremely casual clothing (zip off cargo shorts, tshirts, tevas) out at fancy restaurant or nicer family events! I get that it's really my own issue and my own discomfort with people looking at us, but i wish he made more of an effort or didn't mind me making suggestions
I totally think there's a difference between judging someone's fashion sense and wishing they would care/put in more of an effort so that's completely understandable. Whenever my husband and I go out and he notices I'm dressed nicer than him, he'll ask what he should wear instead lol not to be in competition with me, but just because he doesn't want to be judged by others.

Fathers Office made me severely ill- the server assured me the plate did not contain the item I have a sensitivity to, and they would not list the ingredients. I have never had a reaction that bad from any restaurant ever, and it took me days to recover. It's dangerous for anyone with any health problems.

Zach's evolving fashion has been inspiration. The fact that he truly mixes and matches all sorts of patterns and fabrics without a care in the world is a fashion goal. I'm getting there, but definitely not there yet.

I still find it absolutely insane that you don't have bank transfers in America. In Australia we can instantly transfer any amount of money into anyones bank account with their details, no third party app required. Makes splitting things very easy.

Worst Broadway experience - I saw Phantom on Broadway. Second row, center. My friend and I were all glammed up. The woman next to me was wearing ripped jeans and a t-shirt. No big deal, you do you. But my attitude changed when she pulled out a bag of peanut M&Ms during the show. Open crinkle, munch munch, close crinkle. ... Open crinkle, munch munch, close crinkle. It was distracting and also visibly upset one of the actors on stage. If looks could kill. I was just glad it was obvious we were not together.
