It’s hard to imagine you’ll get more than one shot with a bolt action rifle against a charging bear at 5 yards.
Bolt action rifles are the most common for Bear guides here in Alaska. It depends on training and practice, using a shot timer, it is maybe one second slower than lever or pump action. Thanks for watching!
