    Hello Dave! I love the shiny chrome speedometer on top of the handlebars on my Daisy. It has a dinky little needle which moves around the clock and indicates how fast I am going...😊....and not a lot more...its all I need!....😉...! It looks like its pretty chilly up in Indiana at the moment! Take care, Dave, and stay warm, and have a wonderful Crimbo!...😀...😀...!

    Hi Dave, I have got Koso HD05, but I can't adjust the fuel. I can do the custom setting, but when I turn the bike off and on again it gives me as if I had a full tank but it's not true. Has this happened to you? How did you do it?

  • @slyguyaction

    You didn’t know about the fluid transfer issue, among other problems, with the Milwaukee 8 engine before you bought the bike? That’s been a big talking point since this engine came out. Oil pump issues, etc. glad it’s running well. Warranty should fix it but keep ahead of it.

    • @harleydave2316
      @harleydave2316  4 года назад +2

      I knew about the oil pump issue but already knew I was putting in a s&s and cam. I discovered online jabber about the oil transfer this past fall and it is now taken care of. I watch a ton of youtube and read forums and those are the 2 main topics people are having problems with. I know no bike is perfect and every Harley lineup from the beginning has had issues. There are now problems starting up with Indians new Challenger. It's just about the love of riding for me and I know what ever issue I find, it will get resolved.

    So I have had this on my 08 FXSTC since summer. It works great...I had to play with the fuel settings to get it to properly display fuel level...I think it defaults to Liters even on the Gallons setting. The part that bugs me is occasionally.....when I start the bike...it looks like it loses power...then comes back on, does a "test" and shows the clock as.....12:00. It's a PITA that I have to go in and reset the clock....only to have this happen 15 starts later. Good charging system, new battery and only 4K on the bike (yeah...I bought a 12 year old bike with only 4K and original tires :-P ) Have you had this problem? It's like they need to put a capacitor on the power supply to hold charge during a start.

    • @harleydave2316
      @harleydave2316  3 года назад +1

      I know a few people with this from different Facebook groups and not heard of that issue yet. Koso is pretty good with tech support. I'd email them and ask for help.

    While my bike was in storage at HD they did the stage one and I picked my bike up monday to ride on Christmas..and I asked him about that issue..he said yes my bike as the symptom..but they said HD will.not authorize the repair under warranty . Till its documented 3 times..good news i will not have to pay for that same repair they did to your bike..sucks though only have 350 miles on it

    • @harleydave2316

      That's not right to me. When I called HD about the oil issue, they picked up the bike, repaired it and brought it back to me at no cost because it is under warranty. I didn't have to document it 3 times either. You might want to maybe call a different dealership...

    Hey Dave. I just got the same koso Speedometer. BUT I cannot seem to set the tank volume level right. How did you exactly do it? Care to share your experience? You're supposed to calibrate/set it at 1/3 tank volume for each of the 4 levels, 0, 33, 66 and 100. But again, to set these the tank volume should be at 1,3

      Are you getting an error? Trying to also get fuel level set, and 0, 1/3, and 2/3 level takes the setting, then when you try and move from the full/100% setting it doesn't save and flashes "Error0" What is "DYNA" mode? Right now the fuel level just constantly flashes during riding.

      @@86Raxor this is a 2018 Heritage. It is reading the sensor on this bike, and the number (resistance from the sensor) changes with the level during setup. The manual process works up until the last setting (100%), then it errors out instead of saving the reading/calibration. No response yet from Koso North America yet either.

      Not to my knowledge. I contacted Koso a few times about it and as of 7 months ago, they didn't have a solution but knew about it on Road Kings.
