As someone who plays Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, and Persona, I love watching their assumptions about what music from those games sounds like. It's hilarious.
literally every time before they guessed fire emblem i though "they are gonna think it's fire emblem" its hilarious to see them guess that all the time
I can understand having trouble memorizing all the SNK and Tekken songs, but there's barely even a dozen each of Persona and Final Fantasy songs. They barely have much of an excuse to not differentiate those.

Top 5 series for music in smash for me are Xenoblade, Persona, FE, Mega Man, and Castlevania. So those series getting lots of music here makes me very happy.

The Tekken songs are easily identifiable. Everyone is hype when they hear it in tournament.
It's amazing to me how they still say "Dragon Quest" even though the music of it in Smash is known for being literal MIDI and having 0 orchestra in it

I love how 90% of guesses are Final Fantasy even There's like 6 songs from the same game. 7 is distinct ya know.
Well, 11. But there's 3 songs that are repeated with Advent Children versions (Let The Battles Begin, Those Who Fight Further, and One-Winged Angel), so effectively 8.
According to their answers you'd think the ratio of songs in the game was 60% Final Fantasy, 30% Fire Emblem, and 10% Dragon Quest 😂
They clearly also think the Dragon Quest songs in this game are above MIDI quality.

Honestly WaDi was kind of on the right track when he said that Gritzy Desert was from something like Final Fantasy. Afterall, the theme (and the entire Mario & Luigi series soundtrack) is composed by Yoko Shimomura who is famous for scoring several classic JRPGs, many of them by Square as well.

TK has made the most abrupt shift for me in this video of any of the newcomers. he went frome "ehh idk" to "hes just one of the boys". tk is great. i love everyone in this group.
TK and Coney have been homies for over a decade now, and has known most of the top level Ultimate players for several years as well. He was the one I was least concerned was going to fit in

Another variation of this could be looking at the song titles and guessing the game, one point for the correct series and another for the correct game. Can any Pandas guess that "Tomorrow's Passion" is from Captain Rainbow, for example?
You should do a quiz where you show them a picture of a spirit in the game, and they have to guess the series!

I got Gritzy Desert (albeit slightly misspelled; could've sworn it was "Glitzy"), Gaur Plain, and Magnus's Theme.
I had Fatal Blooms in Moonlight narrowed down to the right game, but couldn't come up with the song name beyond "Vs. Sectonia".
I had the right series for Battle Hymn of the Soul, but it was revealed before the part that I'd have been able to ID.
Everything else I had no idea.
My one takeaway from this video is that Smash players no matter how good they are or how long they've been in the scene are extremely unaware and uncultured, despite their game being a supermassive celebration/museum of video games as a medium

That whole trio of songs for the final battle have such fantastic names. Fatal Blooms in Moonlight/Moonstruck Blossom, Sullied Beauty/Dirty and Beauty, and finally The World to Win.

There is one that is Minecraft original, and that is the Glide song, which is played in the Glide mini game
Yeah, i kinda figured that base game minecraft music aint gonna fit for smash. Minecraft has a beautiful soundtrack, but it's a different vibe.
I do wish they'd made it so there's a chance that Disc 11 or 5 played on a stage, just to freak people out.
For anyone who may be confused, all of the Smash Bros Minecraft Tracks technically are not avaliable in the Java Edition at all. They’re either remixes of Gareth Coker’s minigame themes for the Legacy Console editions (Such as Glide and Toys on a Tear), while the rest are from the spin-off game, Minecraft Dungeons (such as Halland/Darlana and Arch-Illager). It’s easy to see why they’re never guessed; only the original tracks composed by C418 and Lena Raine are more recognizable than these side tracks. The reason they didn’t put any original music like Sweden or Aria Math was likely due to copyright issues, and I doubt it’s because they were too relaxing (Electroplankton, anyone?) because many people have made remixes that are absolutely energetic enough to be in the game.

I was sad when they didn’t get Castlevania, Minecraft, and Kirby. I love the theme of that minecraft song, the Castlevania theme was literally played in the reveal trailer, and Sectonia’s music is all amazing
TBF the Minecraft songs are all from the spinoffs not the real game
@@aneasteregg8171 most of the Minecraft songs were from the old Minecraft online pvp maps for the PS3 and Xbox 360 edition the online maps got removed with the realm update.

Did Wadi and Marss just FORGET that all the Final Fantasy music in Smash Ultimate is FROM FFVII ONLY. Not anything else. FFVII music is so distinct from the rest of the series it hurts.

1) I knew it was Mario, desert, possibly an RPG like Paper Mario. Been too long to recognize it as Partners in Time.
2) Guar Plain Night. I know the day theme from anywhere. I did not however, spell it correctly.
3) I'm guessing one of the tracks from Terry's DLC (which may or may not be King of Fighters). I have not listened to every track of it. [Oh, Hard Man. I'd recognize Shadow Man more.]
4) Nights of Fate I think? Most recent DLC, freshest in our minds. I like how they all first said Final Fantasy, though that isn't completely wrong.
5) My only guess is Earthbound, can't pin it anywhere else. [Oh, this is the King of Fighters one. Dammit.]
6) I think that's the Lightning Chariot base from Kid Icarus Uprising? [Ah, Magnus. Duh. Forgot the dude existed.]
7) This might be an F-Zero song. It is.
