The fact WaDi kept guessing Xenoblade and that when they finally put a Xenoblade song in there it's the music from the arcade mini game from 2 that you only play to upgrade Poppi and break the game with her, litteraly the most off-tracks OST possible

I've picked Scrapyard from ARMS for my smash arenas from time to time, so I can tell you used the Siivagunner version, which mashed the song up with Crescendolls from Daft Punk. You can't avoid me.

I'll be completely honest, I popped off so hard when ESAM got Deluge Dirge 95% correct, it's honestly one of my favourite songs in Splatoon

I remember my first playthrough of Breath of the Wild. I hadn't seen anyone else for 30 minutes since I passed some people treasure hunting. I crossed a bridge over a canyon. I could see some weird rocks with holes in them on the other side. As I got closer, I heard it for the first time. The sound of a lone accordion.

4:00 I love the Galaxy games so when I heard this song I instantly knew what game it was from and remembered the exact level as well, so when I saw them struggle through with a song from a legendary game that has a legendary soundtrack that so many people love it hurt me on the inside a bit

Legit only the Splatoon one, Tiger Tiger, and Red Canyon (I thought it was Fire Field) I got faked out at (Splatoon's being the only one I didn't know at all), every other one had me facepalming at most of their suggestions lol.
Fun fact: the ARMS song they used for the quiz isn't the actual Scrapyard song. They used a SiIvagunner rip that combines it with the Daft Punk song Crescendolls lol

I love hearing a song i infinitely definitely 100% know and then they all don't know it.
I hear that god-damn Kirby Leitmotif in the CROWNED song after Return to Dreamland being one of my main childhood games, with the soundtrack still glued into my head for years. How could i not remember that final boss.
ESAM and Marss might be content creators, but WaDi is the pure embodiment of content himself.
The one time Xenoblade music came out, I said "Ok, there it is Wadi! There's your Xenoblade Music! You're not gonna say Xenoblade because it sounds retro, aren't you?"
And I'm with Josh on that one, you certainly blew it Wadi.
Honestly, as someone who doesn't play Xenoblade, I was like "This is TOTALLY from a Sega Genesis game."

I think what kills me the most on these is the fact that some of these songs were on the character breakdown videos by Sakurai or used on nintendo direct videos, and they still got them wrong.

I could honestly watch these 3 do these all day. I love the VGM ones though they're more up my alley but God damn. The WaDi Esam and Marss chemistry is amazing. No offence to them but I'm not really an avid watcher of them individually, but I think they have great chemistry all together. They really balance each other out.

Good video. In a similar vein to the tiger tiger song, I think any of the p4 songs, especially the remix of I’ll face myself, would throw them off because they are so unlike “typical” persona music. Also the hidden village from twilight princess is a good curveball

I know this is a SUPER deep cut but the Arms Scrapyard track they used is NOT the original. The one they played is overlaid with Crescendolls by Daft Punk, it's hard to hear because it's kinda quiet but its very discernible (you can hear the rising line at the beginning (19:36), the "finisher" motif at 19:58 and 20:06, and the "ow.... Ayyy!" at 20:41). I have absolutely no clue how the combo track got used instead of the original but it's kinda sick (also crescendolls is like my favorite song so that's nice too)

Xenoblade Chronicles: a main character dies at the beginning of the game, the main villain accepts defeat and shulk spares him, but another villain appears and quite a lot happens, and Shulk dies like 3 times during the game
Xenoblade Chronicles 2: one of the main villains gets killed by another villain after coming to terms with what he's done and fights alongside your party against him, you meet God, find out something horrible has happened, and a main character sacrifices themself to help everyone else get back home

4:00 I recognized it immediately. It’s my favorite theme from Super Mario Galaxy 2 and my favorite theme from the Super Mario Galaxy series, alongside Gusty Garden Galaxy’s theme!
Be loving that all of them don’t know the Minecraft songs were just a remixed versions of the Minecraft dungeon songs due to the original music not making any sense in a fighting game.
I got Bowser's Galaxy Generator, Floral Fury, Kass' Theme, and Tiger! Tiger!.
I had the right game (...more or less) for Those Who Fight, but kind of forgot that Advent Children exists.
I knew exactly where Deluge Dirge was from, but could not name it.
I had the right series for CROWNED, but couldn't narrow it down much further than that.
Im actually proud of myself. I was able to get almost all of the first few by the name of the song,
exept for Fzero. The only reason I got that that was F Zero was because of the retro bits game on the wii U. That song didn’t come up but I recognized the style. Kass’s theme and floral fury were a freebies for me, I basically have them memorized, but bowser’s Galaxy generator Im proud of remembering.
Hum ok clearly its just how esam and I listen to osts, and it really cam down to if they picked a song I knew.
I knew kingdom hearts was kingdom hearts, but I didn’t know what it was from.
I know Deluge dirge by name, but I wouldn’t be able to tell you if it was deluge dirge or the third one. I would know if It was frantic aspic or not.
I knew the arms song, but I called it junkyard, not scrapyard.
I recognized C.R.O.W.N.E.D immediately and was physically in pain that more of them didn’t know it, because it’s used in compilations as background all the time.
And the miitopia song I recognized the music style as similar to ring fit, but I also knew that ring fit music isn’t in smash, and they had already done wii fit. I didn’t know that miitopia music was in the game tho, so I wouldn’t have guessed that.

Any of those edgey games with realistic humans are a hard pass for me.
And none of these guys would last for very long in competitive Splatoon.
8 points. Got F-Zero, Mario Galaxy, Kirby, Splatoon 2, Zelda Botw, Minecraft, Megaman, and Cuphead. F-zero for the soundfont, Mario Galaxy because 8 year old me was a master at the final galaxy, Kirby because I like the OST, Splatoon because Salmon Run, Botw because it’s so easily recognizable when you play the game, Minecraft because I’m a Steve main, Megaman because how do you not immediately think Megaman, and Cuphead from the trailers.
None of the songs from the original Minecraft OST got into Smash Bros, the reason why is because Sakurai said the music was too calming, so the 7 songs are from Minecraft spinoff games, like Minecraft Earth and Minecraft Dungeons
The Arch Illager theme is from Minecraft Dungeons, but it's a remix they made specifically for Smash. The original is a lot more slow paced
I'm so glad they put The Arch Illager in here. It is one of my favorite smash ultimate songs.

Being a steve main and Minecraft nerd bestowed me the power of instantly recognizing arch-illager.
It’s not in Minecraft, Wadi is correct about that. However, the track arch-illager is originally from Minecraft Dungeons, a spin-off, and then remixed. In fact, none of the Smash tracks of Minecraft are actually in the original game. They’re either from the minigame modes in Legacy Console Edition, which were basically Minecraft before bedrock edition brought them all together, or Minecraft Dungeons.
They should add Pigstep from the OG! No-Disc 11! That would be hilarious.
