Who is Franco? Well, our friend who has been staying with us for many months. He is actually part of an awesome band from Cebu! On this day from Cateel, we just live life together at the beach house. From eating sardines and sharing laughs... to surfing, jogging, and enjoying the coast... to building a beach house, and checking in with single engineer!
Yup, beach house and barkada family life continues from the coast of Mindanao...

I think he is the lead vocalist of the band franco. The band was named after him.
I just started listening to Franco's music, awesome. Didn't even know about the band until this pandemic and youtube. Hope to watch them in concert in the near future. If he's OK with it, he should do a "unplugged" session on one of your VLOG'S. Your follower's and his fans would be delighted to see that.

I wouldn’t recommend planting bamboo close to the house, bro! Bamboo rooting travels laterally and stays relatively shallow, sometimes finding its way into the foundation of the house and causing damage. It’s better a to keep it a meter or so away with a strong barrier from reaching the house. Better as a fencing.

Yes I heard that planting bamboo close to the house is not a good idea too.There is information on what trees to grow and what not to grow in your backyard,and one of them is bamboo.

I think you are so fortunate to have "single engineer" working for you on the house. He seems to be doing a good job and not cutting any corners. The rebar he uses is very thick and it looks like he takes pride in the quality and workmanship of the product. I have seen many people build things in the Philippines and they can go horribly wrong. You are truly blessed to have him supervising the work. Wishing you all the best. So happy you are doing much better now.
The Single Engineer is really good to kulas he even applied the Pinoys belief of ORO, PLATA, MALA in making a stairs just like me from my mother's belief too.

I miss "Alogbati", the veggie that you guys put on the sauteed sardines. I've been looking for those here in California. But as I found out later, Alogbati is related to Spinach. So I've been using spinach from then on to some of my dishes. Yea love them leafy greens, I have very fond memories of being forced to eat them 😂 when I was little in Bacolod.
