You can always install mods through nexus mods that will change the Xbox button prompts to the PlayStation button prompts! I did this with Starfield and it works like a charm!

figured out a work around w/o any additional downloads or removing files (steam-settings-controller{everything off except PS controller} then on the right go to (manage- properties-controller-disable steam input) works and my games recognized ps5 button layout instead of Xbox, good luck hope this helps!

Thats just how a lot of these drivers work, even for nintendo controllers that essentially have the same buttons they are just in a dif place. To get them to behave with every game, they make it pretend to be an Xbox controller. Most games if they were capable of displaying Playstation buttons on screen, would mean they already supported Playstation controllers natively and you wouldnt need these extra drivers.

Dsx is like ds4. It has to be running to work. Enabled with support means it has built in support in the game you are playing.without likely means it has to pretend you have an Xbox controller in order for it to work.
Hold Playstation button and share button together on Dualsense to enter pairing mode, then your computer should see the controller in adding new device settings.

So. Here's the issue. The game is the one displaying the controls. Generally thats not displayed by a third party driver. Not even when its steam. Steam can very rarely display the right buttons for you, but there's no reliable way even using DS4 windows of doing that. Its because, if the game was capable of using PS4/PS5 buttons. It wouldnt need a driver, because it would already have support built in. But it doesnt. So all these drivers do the same thing, pretend to be an xbox controller.
playstation controllers have a speaker in them. When you plug it in im guessin guessing it defaults to trying to use it. Just go to your system settings and set it back to your airpods. If its causing your airpods to disconnect thats a different issue entirely. In which case, just use a cable rather than bluetooth.
In general it defaults to that because its just the easist way to do it. Some games break when you use drivers to show playstation buttons, some it works fine, some games are hard coded to only display xbox buttons even when they have PS4/PS5 support. I think if I remember correctly steam has the ability to toggle on showing PS buttons but that doesnt mean the game will display them regardless.

You likely have the gyro on. Find the menu that lists things like {mouse, mouse joystick, joystick directional pad}. Either set this list to None, or set an activator for gyro.
Fixed it kinda I am using shadow pc I had emulate Xbox controller on so on steam it showed Xbox 360 I unchecked that on the pc settings and now it shows a ps4 controller better lol but still not my ps5 and the touchpad don’t work

Sometimes. You can add non steam games to your steam library and it will run the steam overlay overtop. Adds some other features like sometimes controller drivers. It depends. In the long term tho id recommend just buying an Xbox controller. It's more reliable.

Showed me how to use a Nintendo controller. Doing the same for my dualsense doesn't work at all. Boot up hell divers and viola controller is gone.

i was actually just using a bad usb c charger and i was losing my mind lol
its good to remember that not all cables have data. Some are literally just for charging because they are slightly cheaper to make.

If you're playing wirelessly, then you can try using a cable. This set of drivers doesnt offer much in the way of settings to tweak.
