Great video I've seen in years well put together, one thing my air bag moved out of place when it was low so now. I have to take it off and hope that the top oem part is not broken. And without this video I would have thought every thing I would be doing would be wrong
Nice video. Just a tip, but always disconnect the harness and air line from the solenoid before dropping the assembly. This not only gives you the necessary room, but it also eliminates damage to the harness and air connection.
The big nut and bolt on the bottom are 1-3/16" not 29 mm. I found out the hard way and spent $400 in wrenches and sockets. Hope it saves someone else some money.
Bag dosent come with the double o rings for the shock just for the check valve. Good luck trying to find them at the local parts store, this are a Particular size and are not available at ford anymore. I've found the orings online for $120. The shock absorber is leaking oil and destroyed the orings and was the source of my air leak. Returning the bag and buying a complete assembly from arnort.
So we don't need to replace the whole strut? How do I know if the bottom half is good like yours ? I have an 06 with 95k miles . Should be good right ? Thanks
Anyone else having this issue only on cold weather? I’m planning to replace only the shock assuming it’s getting cold and shrinking and leaking a bit.. in warm weather there are no issues
My 2012 expedition airbag suspension is bad it lifts only when I turn on the car, but every morning I wake up and start it, it will start to lift. But just coming out of the store it’s lowered ! The shop said I don’t need the airbags to just take them out and install a kit without airbag suspension? Is that right? It’s $1300 to take out the airbags HELP! My husband was the mechanic in my life and he passed away and now I’m left to deal with so much to deal with. Any help would be appreciated.
You don’t need air suspension, you can swap it for regular struts. You can buy struts on amazon and have somebody replace them for about $1000 including parts
Beginning in 2007, Expeditions and Navigators stopped using air bags/struts on the front, so these vehicles now only have air suspension on the 2 rear struts. Rear air bags/struts can be converted to "coil over struts" on our (I have a 2010) vehicles exactly as shown in this video. Any mobile mechanic should be able to do this job ( you buy the parts online to save $ ) in about 3 hours total ( removing both old air bag struts in the rear and replacing with new coil over struts ).
Slightly misleading your basically just saying you fix navigator leaks by....replacing the bag....thats quite obvious....like saying how to fix your car from being dead by....replacing the battery

Will this be the same process for the rear?
Yes

В холодную погоду необходимо залить в систему специальный антифриз для пневмосистемы, чтобы клапана не замерзали

"Air Suspension Bag Replacement Fix" is the title of this video. What part do you think is misleading? Stop being a hater and get a life.
