Each year for my birthday, I find a way to commemorate the ending of one chapter and the beginning of another. This year, I decided that I wanted to push myself physically and complete the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Because I was short on time I couldn't complete the traditional 4 night Inca Trail, but Llama Path offers a hybrid hike that lasts 2 days and allows for you to pass through the Sun Gate! It was one of the most difficult things I have done to date.
Come along with me as I give you a POV look at what the Inca Trail Trek is really like!

Wow. What a trek! I went to Machu Picchu years ago. Your video confirmed my decision to not hike up. I could not have done it. I hope you are proud.

Thank you so much for watching! It was definitely one of the hardest things I've done and I wanted to quit so many times, but I would tell myself how the heck are we going go quit in the middle of nowhere silly lol. I am very proud of this accomplishment, but next time I'm taking the train!

When you say terrifying, was it because of the drop offs? Or the physical challenge?

thank you for this video. trying to decide if I do this portion of the trek. I tore my meniscus and its not fully healed so I know would not be able to do the full hike.

Is there a way out at any point? Do you need an entry ticket to this trail at Km 104?
