Let the Wallygate saga begin.. Or is it Waldogate 🤔 This one took a lot of effort to film over the 4 days. I truly hope we did it justice. Let us know which hike you'd prefer! As always, thank you for taking the time to share your Sundays with us ❤️❤️❤️
It's officially Wally as he was created Wally in the UK by British author Martin Handford. He's Wally in most of the English speaking Western World but for some reason was renamed Waldo in the US. It's not the only place where he was given an alternate name though - In Germany, he's Walter ("Wo ist Walter?") and in Norway, he's Willy. In France, he became Charlie, in Denmark, Holger and in Israel, Effi.
The original book is British and the title is 'Where's Wally?', which is the version that was released in Australia. International editions were then released using localised names, with the North American version released as 'Waldo'. Examples of other localised names are: 'Walter' for the German version, 'Charlie' for the French version, and 'Holger' for the Danish version. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Where's_Wally
Anto6504 Totally love that!! We’re also full time travelers and just left Machu Picchu it was incredible. Would totally love having a little companion like that.

We went the easy way via train but we also stayed in the Sacred Valley for two days. 21 of us all got along beautifully and enjoyed every minute. We had 4 guides who took care of every need and gave their very best to keep us happy. The views were absolutely stunning no matter where we went and to me the people were beautiful. Peru has always been a place I wanted to go for over fifty years and I sure wasnt disappointed. If I had the chance I would go back and explore more.
May Lee find the Peace and Joy she brought to us in these videos. Max, so proud of your mom. You and your dog are just amazing! Continue to love life. God bless you all.
WOW!This video touched me in so many ways! Of course it was amazing & beautiful as usual, but your mom added a different perspective to the video for me as an older woman with chronic illness/disabilities. I was so proud of your mom for accomplishing this hike & being able to cross off a bucket list item. When she said her age, it just made me cry. I'm so happy for her! I used to LOVE to hike. I was very active up to becoming so ill in 2012 & now I can't even go shopping with my friends w/o having to bring my wheelchair. I miss my old life! This disease & the many conditions have taken so much from me. I don't talk about this side of chronic illness very much because I prefer to stay positive & try to be a light & an example for others struggling as well....but I couldn't move on to the next video w/o commenting what was in my heart. Thank you for sharing your mom with us, she is an amazing woman! Her good bye was very touching. Of course I cried again! Lol Its always hard for me to leave when I'm visiting my children. Oh & its 'Wheres Waldo' in the US as well. Lol Much love! 💗
Words cannot describe the feeling I had while watching this episode, absolutely amazing!! Your mom is a rock, I would not have been able to breathe at 12000 feet let alone hiked it. Thank you for sharing this with all of us 💜

Oh wow! Nelo was my guide back in 2006 when I did a 2 day hike.....I am so happy to see he is still around. I am going back to Peru in July and will have to seek him out and say hello again! Thanks for the upload!
Great video and trip, watching this in memory of Lee and thinking of ALL her Family, friends, Max and Occy at this terrible time. It's heartbreaking to watch, just as a fan of you guys, but it's also amazing to be able to still see her smile, laugh and have fun, in better times. She was such a bright light and amazing person she lived life to the fullest! Blazing a trail wherever she went and I hope, in time, you guys can hold onto and cherish those great memories and time you were blessed with her in your lives.. God Bless Lee, RIP. May you forever be at peace and happy now. Love from London England 😥💔🙏❤️🏴
"Mom" YOU'RE MY HERO!!!! I mean this for real! I just turned 46 and have always wanted to go here. You've given me hope again that I can STILL do it. I've traveled over the ponds from myb homeland America to Paris, Jamacia, The Yucatan Ocho Rios, and naturally Canada being so close to it. But THIS is my #1 on my bucket list.

I backpacked through Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil in my late 20's, visited Machu Picchu but didn't know there was hiking trails like this, so I so much envy your ability to make that kind of hike. There might arguably be more beautiful places in the world but the Peruvian Andes are so spectacular that you're just continuously in a state of being awestruck (and I'm the same age as your mother so tremendous kudos to her for making the journey!....and even arriving in Cuzco, had altitude sickness for a few days so her perseverance is even more commendable!) Thank you again for the stunning scenery; it brings back such fond memories :)

Thanks for sharing your video.Enjoyed watching it. I wished i did my Salkantay Trek with you ( Sept.9-13,2019) Did it thru a local tour group in Cusco with a bunch of 3 European couples.I am a very fit 64 yr old Aussie, but had trouble with altitude and hypothermia on day1 in freezing conditions. I did the trek pretty much on my own esp. on day 3 when the guide didnt even check up on me. Like you, I found climbing down on day 2 was tough under difficult conditions of rough terrain, mud,and rain. Knee played up and blisters on both feet. A very tough trek indeed! We had some amazing crew who cooked some beautiful food that we didnt go hungry. The hotel was just so good after a 10 km walk to Aqua Calientes with hot water and bed to finally sleep after 4 days of hiking and camping. We were rewarded with the beautiful sight of Machu Picchu. Its so cool that you can trek with your super doggie. Well done!
This is absolutely breathtaking! We’re also full time travelers and JUST left Machu Picchu. Loved the trek you did and that dog is so adorable. Great job on true video and loved how you captured the scenery.
9 years ago I went to Peru. We did Machu Picchu. Puerto Maldonado. And Lima. Trip of a life time. When I got back I started my life with my now husband. Haven't been on a trip since and In a handful of days we are taking our first ever vacation together to the Bahamas :D so happy to get some travel bug out of me. My Peru trip made me realize how much I want to travel.
Wow this was amazing to watch. Peru is a dream destination and I can't wait for the day that I'll get to go with my sister. It's been a goal of ours for years. This video just makes me so excited to make it there one day. Thank you for sharing these wonderful experiences with us!
I'm glad you enjoyed the whole experience, all the places and landscapes are hands down truly amazing, btw the original discoverer of machu picchu was the peruvian Agustin Lizarraga in 1902, greeting from Lima-Perú
Wow! Just wow! Amazing scenery and amazing journey! It has been a dream of mine of getting to Machu Pichu and you've shown me a better way of experiencing this, by taking your time and building the whole journey to the point that reaching your goal is more meaningful and longer lasting for your soul and mind...

Yep, US is def Waldo. Score, Lee! 😁
Waldo for sure

Like you, I found climbing down on day 2 was tough under difficult conditions of rough terrain, mud,and rain. Knee played up and blisters on both feet. A very tough trek indeed! We had some amazing crew who cooked some beautiful food that we didnt go hungry. The hotel was just so good after a 10 km walk to Aqua Calientes with hot water and bed to finally sleep after 4 days of hiking and camping. We were rewarded with the beautiful sight of Machu Picchu. Its so cool that you can trek with your super doggie. Well done!
24:00 ... I imagine that’s the last time Jane ever saw Lee. Oh Lee, if only you could’ve seen how loved you really were ... 🕊

Seeing Occy go with you guys to all of these incredible places inspires me to bring my Kona Bear with me on my travels! 😌🐶💛
Another excellent video, great work guys, hiking all that way, especially Jane. Loved every second of it!

Wow this was amazing to watch. Peru is a dream destination and I can't wait for the day that I'll get to go with my sister. It's been a goal of ours for years. This video just makes me so excited to make it there one day. Thank you for sharing these wonderful experiences with us!
Some day never comes.
This was one the best hikes I've done! Beautiful landscapes!
