- The Salkantay Inca Trek to Machu Picchu is one of the Alternate Inca trails, famous for its natural beauty. The trail is usually done in 3 days (plus optional one day for Machu Picchu). On the first day the beautiful Humantay Lake (1:25) is visited on a side trip. On the third day the trek finishes by walking along the train tracks under the Machu Picchu mountain.
Recorded July 2018 in 4K Ultra HD with Sony AX100.

Breathtaking scenery of Peru. I was there in 2017. Haven't done the 4 day trail! Great camera work. Very sturdy, smooth and crystal clear! AX 100 seems best camera than latest. It gives the effect of Ariel shots and drone!

I imagine this trip would keep you fit hiking at that altitude. The scale of the scenery is truly impressive. Friends long ago did a similar 3 day trek to Machu Picchu and I think from memory that it was from Cusco and they waxed lyrical about it for months. Very impressive footage.

I hiked to Humantay Lake in 2019. But I see now that I missed an awesome trek on the Salkantay. Hopefully, I can return someday to do it. Peru is truly an awe-inspiring, magical country. Wonderful and captivating video.
