I used to listen the these guys religiously back in the mid 80s. One of my favorite all time bands. I saw them once and I've seen Fishbone at least 4 or 5 times.

HR is legend. He's part of our crew in Baltimore. If you see him live you can see the raw talent. I have heard him do 50's songs and it is so beautiful.

The live Bad Brains footage from the CBGB's is the best. A snapshot of downtown New York Hardcore in the early 80's. Not to mention it's impossible to take your eyes off HR.
You need to cheque out the Cro-mags/the age of quarrel it’s an amazing hardcore album, and dude don’t judge any music on one listen I found the more you listen to music that does not catch your ear the more you listen to it the better it gets

Kia ora hello Damon from aotearoa New Zealand hay in 1984 i was 14 years old and heard PMA on student radios resurrection punk show I'd record each song on my crappy little mono tape deck and if i liked it keep it or rewind and wait for the next song i was doing the dishes after dinner and a life changing thing happened that took any choice about what pathway my life would travel. (positive metal attitude )i might have stopped breathing i was stunned 38 years later I've still got a mohawk and punk rock is my religion
The live version of "The right brigade" is awesome. The lead singer HR is a great front man and all the musicians are excellent too. They are great at playing fast. Its from the late 70s
