    While on your illustration you say C4 or middle C is hole 5. Yes if you want to play a tune with notes below middle C you MUST use hole 5 as C4 or middle C. However on a 12 hole Chromatic harmonica the TRUE C4 or middle C is hole 1 not hole 5 as your illustration shows

    Gracias por su información, pero tengo una pregunta ¿donde habría que escribir la primera octava de una armonica cromática de 16 holes?

  • @wongchinkong4505

    I can sing every note whether natural flat sharp perfectly. So when I play pieces in chromatic harmonica, I automatically know the notes in the harmonica I play not correct and adjust position automatically. No need to see notes in paper or where are the holes in the harmonica. But not everybody know how to sing perfectly. Just my thoughts.

    Great education on this,
    But please tell me on this chart of a 16 hole chromatic harmonica , would this chart still show on the first blow hole a C note or a G note if the chromatic harmonica was in the Key of G and not C

    Your notation seems to be an octave lower than the sound. Hole 1 blow should be C4 (middle C) but you have C3

    I am using tower cromatic harmonica which has 24 holes..How notes in 12 holes chromatic harmonica is different from 24 holed chromatic harmonica.?

    • @musicalbreeze1
      @musicalbreeze1  7 лет назад +1

      Hi Preeti
      Unfortunately, I do not know this harmonica, and I did not find any serious information about it. From an arctic point of view, every 4 holes are an octave (a scale of 8 sounds) so this harmonica should play 6 octaves which is a lot.
      I will be happy if you can record yourself playing all the holes in order from the low sound on the left to the high - on the right - and send me the recording.

    I am interested in playing the chromonica and was wondering do most people use the Key C chromonica? I have seen some people talking about using a Key G for playing violin music. Can you explain why a person may want a key G chromonica instead of a key c chromonica? Any info would be appreciated. I am looking into a 12 hole unit.

    • @reallivebluescat
      @reallivebluescat 5 лет назад +1

      Its mainly because of octave. Depending on the Keys you are gonna use, you might want a C or G harmonica which determines how low your bassnote (tonic) of the scales is gonna be.

    disability to play chords is sad but overall chromatic harp seems to be superior than diatonic one

    • @musicalbreeze1
      @musicalbreeze1  7 лет назад

      A chromatic harmonica has many advantages, especially in playing many scales and complex pieces such as classical music, but each harmonica has advantages and disadvantages. For example, if you play blues and want to use sound bending - an important and exciting effect - you can only do this with a diatonic harmonica.

    • @reallivebluescat

      Its a different sound and feel than diatonic, not objectively better just different
