World At War did have a special "port" exclusive to the PS2 but, I use the term port incredibly loosely as it is pretty much a completely different game whose only connection to World At War proper is that it has the same concept of an FPS game where you explore the end of World War 2 as both an American & Soviet and the names are similar. It is a pretty decent game even if it has nothing to do with World At War. It was called Call Of Duty World At War Final Fronts.
If you haven't noticed already WaW Final Fronts looks & play similarly to CoD 3 since this game is basically a reskin of CoD 3. The gunplay felt so akin but clunkier
I remember buying the PS2 version of world at war and not seeing the zombie option so I thought I would have to beat the whole game to unlock it so I beat the whole game to figure out it's not on the PS2 version. I was heated!

I remember playing waw on my toshiba 2014 laptop which had an AMD E1-2100 processor and amd hd 8210. i had 20-30 fps on low settings. Changing to the command fullbright to turn shadows effects off got me 50-60+ fps it was incredible
Holy shit, was it a Satellite? That's what I had too, and I had no idea about this console command. Even worse, I didn't have internet and zombies doesn't work in offline mode unless you've just cleared the campaign, which is really dumb.

Yeah I mean come on you had games like resident evil 4 on PS2 which had way better graphics than this. This is more like 64 / PlayStation 1 level maybe somewhat higher

I was hoping final fronts was gonna look this derpy so I can at least just constantly playthrough only the story over and over along with only nacht der untoten but nope

My dad plays it like this daily when WaW crashes and he agrees to run in a safe mode, it can go over for weeks till I notice and bring it back to normal settings, he says it does not bother him so much.
This is actually very nie but what I recommend y'all is to play at a higher res still, this one is a bit too overkill especially on 1440p monitors, but thanks a lot for the fullbright command. I'vebeen wondering for a while how to makethis game look retro and just lowering res and graphics wasn't enough.. Killing the shadows and burned in ambiant occlusion really makes it retro !
We already have that version. It’s called Call of Duty World at War for the Nintendo Wii, or it’s as close as we’re going to get to a probable ps2 version. I don’t count Final Fronts as that is more of its own game that just has the World at War name in it.
