@@josegutierrez3178 cammed 5.7s run fine, just depends on what ling of cam you put in it. factory tbi trucks dont like much more than like 230 max for vac and vortec you can pretty much stuff whatever into. Just gotta make sure its tuned right. I had a lt4 cam i bought used in my old 305 completely stock and never had an issue with it, locked the engine up from no oil though.
I will never understand putting a lopey cam into a street engine. You may think it sounds cool, but it just sounds ignorant to most everyone else. Its a race cam, timed solely for high rpm. But if you ever drive it the way the engine now needs to be driven you’ll have your license revoked before you make it to work.
