Dave Grohl and no Simon Phillips or Gregg Bissonette? Two of the most versatile, well respected drummers in the business? Or Portnoy for everything he's done with the 859 band he's in? And I'm NOT a Portnoy fan. But Dave over Mike?? NEVER!!!
If it was top 50 I would have both of those in there and Todd sucherman and others. Grohl is in there because of how many people he’s influenced he’s the 90’s Ringo
I had 23 of the guys on your list: John Bonham, Neil Peart, Stewart Copeland, Danny Carrey, Alex Van Halen, Carter Beauford, Bill Ward, Steve Gadd, Steve Smith, Art Blakey, Dennis Chambers, Gavin Harrison, Clyde Stubblefield, Buddy Rich, Dave Weckle, Ian Paice, Jeff Porcaro, Carl Palmer, Tony Williams, Vinnie Colaiuta, Mitch Mitchell, Ginger Baker, and Phil Collins, but the 17 I had that you didn't are: Simon Phillips, Mike Portnoy, Greg Bissonette, Jimmy Chamberlain, Phil Ehart, Jon Fishman, Marco Minnemann, Virgil Donati, Jonathan Mover, Jeff Campatelli, Thomas Lang, Dave Lombardo, Terry Bozzio, Mike Mangini, J.D. Beck, Benny Greb, and Jojo Mayer.
That’s a full list of great drummers I’ve had the pleasure of sitting down with Jeff Campitelli quite a few times, and the dude is incredible. It was like asking for quarterback tips and Joe, Montana walks in the room. Besides being one of the nicest damn guys I’ve met, he was very giving of his time and advice I discovered very quickly I was in over my head and out of my league. 😂

Bruford is awesome no doubt. I had a tough time placing him, but settled eventually where I did. As far as Terry goes if it was top 50 I would put him in there for sure! Thanks for your comment 😎👍
From my point of you - but it's subjective of course - I'm really missing Thomas Lang. I don't know, what role Ringo Star should play here.
