I just ordered the whole spektrum package. Typhon 6s V5, DX5C radio, 5000mAh 6s 50c+3200mAh 4s 100c smart batteries, Spektrum smart charger 200w. Also ordered RPM front bumper and rear skid plate, hot racing cooling fan kit, and a set of Hoons tires.
@@beyondRC batteries will be the last thing to show up in the mail; not until mid January. I don’t know if I can wait until then before its maiden voyage.
@@beyondRC Just got it in and couldn’t wait. Just ran the typhon on a gens ace 6s 45c and....WOW! Respect running yours on a wet narrow road like that. I also got the rear skid plate in and did put a layer of matching red metallic vinyl on the chassis after checking screws to protect it from getting scratched up. I’m still taking it easy until the rest of the part come in. Just to let you know the RPM skid plate I had received didn’t really fit over the bump on the chassis under the diffs. IDK if the diffs are different between the V4 and V5, but the chassis is molded wider on the V5 diff.
Thats great and I was brave to run in the wet I had a few close calls which I cut out of the final edit 😉🤪. Enjoy man and I've already been looking at some EXB parts!!
Only run 4 battery packs so far through my new v5 Typhon but so far I love it. Fast, handles great, I'm not a big basher so I'll probably never put it through extreme jumping/bashing but I'm pretty happy right now with this RC. :)
I got the senton and went with the ovonic 5200mah 50c 3s for my v3 3s senton. Great batterys they dont last as long as some other brands but for the price cant go wrong😊 Happy for you with your new purchase the 6s typhon looks like a really fun buggy😊

I got the v4, it's just my favorite toys. So good quality price. I think I dont have to buy the v5 for these new upgrade but the new esc look very nice !

Well I sold my V4 Typhon 6s. Now I’m wondering if I should buy the V5? What do you think worth it or wait for a V6 although that probally is a ways off. I was thinking to buy this Version 5 and do some of the upgrade EXB parts available for it. Also I’ll add that radio update looks a lot better then the Stx2 that was included
As mentioned in this video there are really only a handful of upgrades over the V4 and anyone who owns a V4 probably couldn't justify getting the V5. No idea when they will release a V6 more than likely next year or the year after but its anyone's guess! My plan is to fit some EXB parts on my V5!

10 years ago Vorza was about the only car with a 2000 plus kV motor that could handle 6s. Now a fair few motors do, although castle still my favourite. What speed does this car do out of box stock gearing?
Whens the new talion coming out?I like it better but the servo is still the old one and dont want to get the old version..hiwever I love the looks of that motor on the talion..spectrum is plain looking lol

100% Better its also a lot newer this particular model has only been out about 5 months and is fully of new tech. The vorza has been around for years and i would say is outdated now plus Arrma Spares will be easier to get hold of :)
Do those batteries fit side to side coz I hate putting 13s ontop of the other. It's not safe. Vorza you can't fit decent 3s batteries in your limited to 25mm height batteries so about 3500 mAh which isn't powerful enough. One 6s seems to be the only way, but they always come wired for 2 batteries. They should all come with a dead plug I think or better yet 6s to fit higher mAh.
Kinda fallen off the ARRMA boat now after having a go with an xmaxx i bought one and everything else has gone on the shelf,hate to sound like an xmaxx fan boy but it has ruined all my other RCs for me Ha hahaha great review though look forward to the future runs

@@kasparov937 xmaxx 8s in my opinion is a different league unfortunately it has kind of made all my other cars redundant the shear size and power that it has dominates everything, durability is astonishing I have hammered the xmaxx and have only had minor breakages, I will say there are certain things I would recommend to do as soon as purchasing which adds to the cost, such as esc change (max6) and also change the rear hubs(rpm oversize) and change all the wheel bearing as the ones they come with are made of toffee, I have changed the servo internals for steel gears as well not expensive or hard to do, it is the only car I have had were I look for an excuse to take it out though and parts are really cheap Hope this helps
@@kasparov937 the Esc has some reliability issues i havent experienced them personally, just searching youtube you can find multiple failures, And the max6 esc just transforms the driving, smooths the power out and improves responsiveness, with regards to sluggishness 40+mph out of something that my 3 yr old daughter can sit on and ride is not to be sniffed at😂
The 144001's that are converted to brushless can hardly be called a 144001 really, especially after all the hop ups, once you change the power plant and the ESC, IMO, it isn't realistic comparing a CONVERTED cheap Chinese import to a top o' the line Arrma BEAST like this new 6S Typhon!! 👍👀💯‼️The 144's and all the WL Toys, HAIBOXING, Deere, Soyee, Tyco etc are decent for beginners getting into the hobby. You'll find the higher quality Arrma, Losi, Traxxas etc to be MUCH more worth the money you spend. At one point I had purchased THREE 144001's, they just kept breaking over and over until I did an upgrade to a RedCat buggy RC, boy what a difference!! 👍 Great review, love this Arrma!
The 144001 definitely has its place as one of the best beginner/budget RC's out there if not the best i certainly think so. The quality of the likes of Arrma, Traxxas, Losi etc are second to none and the workmanship and quality is next level. I agree its difficult to compare this to a 144001 this is like you say a top of the line RC and the quality of a 144001 just can't match but we can't forget that little RC is still a huge amount of RC for the money!

Bought 8 144001, drove 2 everyday with more than 150 runs and broke NOTHING. Sold one to a shumacher "experimented" driver and I saw him broking it (a shock for 2.50€) in 30 seconds hitting at full speed a square sidewalk. I am super fanatic of 144001 because I do not have the budget to be a fan of Losi / Arma / etc. 144001 is the perfect car for making a poor guy like me feeling super rich while having more fun than I had with my super expenssive 1/10 Kyosho nitro I had 30 years ago.

As a warning for people, it will not fit 2 X 3S Spektrum 5000Mah hard body, they fit in the battery tray no problem, but the body will then not fit!

Could you tell us your experience with the xmaxx? As I'm stuck between the two now, which to get. Xmaxx 8s which is pricier or this Typhon 6s.
