I have this one, the 3S version, and the Kraton 6S V5. I was a Traxxas guy until these three RCs. Put an EXB bumper on the two 6S's and some motor fans and let'm fly. The Typhon is perfectly at home jumping and bashing with a good bumper for sure. That 3S will shock you too. I got it going 44 mph. I found out the other day that the 6S Typhon will run on 3S no problem and is still nasty fast. I clocked my Typhon 6S at 63 MPH with the optional gear in the rain. I was running an 80C battery. I'll do it again with some 100C's when they arrive soon. I love how genuine your content is. You make me laugh when you laugh. lol. Keep it up bro. Oh, and bump that punch up to max and it will correct in the air just fine. Mine will do backflips.

I have been with you since your first Revo when I bought mine. I have never seen you so giddy over a car ever! Congrats, I only run Arrma and Associated now (gave the revo to my Step-Son), and my Notorious & Kraton are my favorites. If you think getting a Kraton is too much like your Revo to justify it, you'll be shocked at how different they drive. Also once in the Arrma system the parts compatibility is so nice that you'll spend less keeping them up. 💪👊
I've got a 1/8 Castle in my Traxxas slash. You can only go about quarter to half throttle before it gets super rowdy when bashing. Its so much fun having that power though. Yours is a better buy for the price hands down. Looking at getting one of these. Great video!
Great video! I just got a Sledge for myself but want to get the 6S Typon for my son after seeing another driver at the local park tear it up with his! You might have just sold me! Wondering if I should wait till there’s a V6? Do they update them annually?
You like that thing now, make sure you tune your diffs and watch it really get nuts! I use 100k front, 500k center and 60k rear. There are tons of combos but I like this as of yet. And definitely shim the diffs. If you drive it stock for a few packs it'll feel like a totally different car after the redux! Great vid brother!
The way he sat there and looked at the car like someone shot his dog when it had the mud in the front. 😂😂 The Typhon is an awesome RC. I have the 3s myself! 🤘
I believe as long as its over 50c you will be ok. Be sure to check to make sure that battery fits. The typhon has a smaller battery tray than some of the other 6s Arrma.
I like that the traxxas guys are giving Arrma a shot, same with Mark Santa Maria. I’m more of a Arrma guy but the traxxas stuff I have I enjoy especially the 4tec 2.0 and the trx4.
I’m a bit surprised you haven’t put out any Xmaxx content. If I remember correctly, you were unhappy about body mounting screws pulling through ( I don’t remember if there were any more complaints). I guess right after you got yours, Traxxas addressed that by integrating body savers, because mine has them. I also added rpm roof skids and reinforced the body like I do with all my other RCs. Anyway, it’s my favorite RC and I figured you’d be posting up with that all the time.
Well, I have not had the chance to make the videos I want with it, and I dont want to just make bashing videos. I do drive it, I just dont record what I am doing. I have some videos coming with it.
Yep that’s exactly what it is front wheels losing traction I burned my tyres off front after second go out with it .. Lost grip on the front and it started rolling over . I put badlands max tyres on . Nice vid 😎👍🏻🤙🇬🇧
I'm not a fan of the look of this one personally, but holy cow are you having fun. I feel like your excitement in this video is the same as mine was when I got my Super Rock Rey. Oddly enough, I was more excited about my SRR than I was with my 1/5th scale. My 1/5th scale is even my favorite RC, but still wasn't as excited as I was when I got my SRR. Might have something to do with the look and/or power of it. My Losi 5ive T is what I expected it to be, a crazy big and powerful RC and it doesn't disappoint. The SRR is more than I expected it to be from the pictures and videos. Your experience with your new RC car is definitely coming through on video. 😊
When u won’t to go from buggy to street car it’s easy . Get limitless shocks and shock towers . Senton body mount and short carvette body from proline. And it’s all bolt on . Only drill holes in body mount to fit. It’s no cutting on typhon . It’s awesome street car .
When you buy the Kraton you are going to love it because it’s the best Arrma truck. I have the Kraton, Talion and Notorious and i had the Erevo 2.0. By far it’s the best 👍👍
@@outsourcedrc I had a Erevo 2.0 and sold it and bought the Kraton. It was the best thing that i did because the Erevo broke every time and the Kraton put me on another level of extreme bash without any problems 👍
Ok my son & I are getting ready to buy our second electric vehicle for light bashing, running on huge open soccer fields and probably little to no street use. The choices are the Maxx, this vehicle after seeing your video and your excitement it or the Traxxas UDR. Please advise which one you think Thank you, A Subscriber
nice pick up brother. The Typhon was the first arrma car I ever owned. And now I believe I have more than 10 of them. Like you I don't care about the brand but the smile and enjoyment the rc is going to give me. Great video brother 👍👌💯
@@Statslol The Typhon has a smaller battery box than other Arrmas because of the body. Two 3s Lipos stacked on top of each other might be too tall. The Spectrum 3s hard case lipos wont fit. if they are stacked.
Nice pick up! IMO...the Typhon is the best rig in Arma’s lineup. You may want to consider “truggifying” it. Gives you a bit more ground clearance and you’ll have more control when it’s in the air with larger tires. There’s some RUclips vids on how to do it.

@@joelasher6281 yeah but I’m sure he wouldn’t do it the right way
@@joelasher6281 kraton hubs? 6s kraton? Is it a direct fit
@@8ightgeek just got this v5 and, slap a pair of HR steering blocks, badlands 2.8 all around and loving my truggyfied typhon!
Glad to see another Arrma on the channel 👍🏼
I have been with you since your first Revo when I bought mine. I have never seen you so giddy over a car ever! Congrats, I only run Arrma and Associated now (gave the revo to my Step-Son), and my Notorious & Kraton are my favorites. If you think getting a Kraton is too much like your Revo to justify it, you'll be shocked at how different they drive. Also once in the Arrma system the parts compatibility is so nice that you'll spend less keeping them up. 💪👊
Maybe one day I'll get one.
I've got a 1/8 Castle in my Traxxas slash. You can only go about quarter to half throttle before it gets super rowdy when bashing. Its so much fun having that power though. Yours is a better buy for the price hands down. Looking at getting one of these. Great video!
“I’m gonna try and take it easy on these tires.” Proceeds to continually thrash it 60 mph on tar. Lol.
Great video! I just got a Sledge for myself but want to get the 6S Typon for my son after seeing another driver at the local park tear it up with his! You might have just sold me! Wondering if I should wait till there’s a V6? Do they update them annually?
I don't know how often they update them. The V5 is safe to get. The V4's had a lot of issues. I've not had any problems out of my Typhon.
I believe this . I just haven’t torn it apart yet to do them all at once
The way he sat there and looked at the car like someone shot his dog when it had the mud in the front. 😂😂 The Typhon is an awesome RC. I have the 3s myself! 🤘
lol
Do you run 2 3s specktrum lipo batteries in yours? If so, how do you get around the body not fitting?
Nope. They won’t fit. I run a 6s Spektrum soft pack.
I ordered a 6s so I can get the full potential of the car. The Typhon is really fun to drive.
Are none hardcase lipos safe to use with RC cars?
You can use them. I use them.
I just bought one today version 5. In fact me and my buddy both bought one and ask for discount. They gave us 10% off! Lookig forward to this one
Do you have to use a spectrum battery?
No, but you need the right connection and I think that Spektrum may be one of the few batteries with it.
Nice flying
Happy new years bro! and nice new RC thats awesome i want to get one not sure this or the XMAXX! you tell me lol
Happy new year! I think I like this over the Maxx
Xmaxx out of the box dependability is a gamble. I've found arrma to be truly RTR compared to Traxxas.
Moves quick on 6S ! Do you think this will do Ok with a 55C ThunderPower ? 6S 5000mAh
Started out with Arrma my self then went to Traxxas have boh now. Arrma for speed Traxxas for bash.
@@seanweir7311 I bash with my Arrma’s but my 4tec is doing 83mph on 3s pretty sure I can get that 100mph on 3s.
Ordered one today. Can't wait to get it...
You are going to love it!
Do you like it?
Drivetrain sound dry or low on oil...did you check that after your run?
Glad to see you got a arrma.
Yeah . Imo , it’s a longer jumper , vertical , then tap the brakes of needed .
Stoked to see this . I ve wanted to try one of these ever since a k6s . Seen the sale
Should i buy this 6s or 3s
6s. always 6s. its a lot easier to reduce the power than it is to bring it up.
What is the battery life on something like this?
I have a hard time judging. It seems like its about 45 minutes or so. It lasts a while.
Same I bought this too, thank you so much fun, screaming fast 💨 🏎🏎
Isn’t it cool???
@@outsourcedrc yes one of my favorites 👍🔥🔥 just crazy how fast it gets up to speed
The Typhon's are awesome! Love when people truggify them as well.
Arrma has a history of racing, their heritage comes from Team Durango and it has a smaller beginnings as well, and it was racing from the beginning.
What battery do u use? I want the car but I don’t have battery’s or charger
I use a Spektrum 6s. I have a Venom quad charger, but I would have gotten the Spektrum charger if I didn’t already have the venom
Man I can’t wait for my typhon 6s to arrive :)
You are going to love it!
What battery’s and chargers do u use
Typhon 6s démoniaque 😈 👍👌💪💪💪
Did you make the 30 and 45 degree ramps or did you buy them somewhere?
I made them. I have a video on my channel showing exactly how I did it.
When you buy the Kraton you are going to love it because it’s the best Arrma truck. I have the Kraton, Talion and Notorious and i had the Erevo 2.0. By far it’s the best 👍👍
I doubt I will get one. I may, but I doubt it.
@@outsourcedrc I had a Erevo 2.0 and sold it and bought the Kraton. It was the best thing that i did because the Erevo broke every time and the Kraton put me on another level of extreme bash without any problems 👍
My typhon also takes up grass like that! It’s hilarious! I can’t jump it in my yard for that reason lol!
Ok my son & I are getting ready to buy our second electric vehicle for light bashing, running on huge open soccer fields and probably little to no street use.
The choices are the Maxx, this vehicle after seeing your video and your excitement it or the Traxxas UDR.
Please advise which one you think
Thank you,

I would say the UDR or the Typhon. I kinda steer people away from the Maxx to other RC's like the E Revo.
nice pick up brother. The Typhon was the first arrma car I ever owned. And now I believe I have more than 10 of them. Like you I don't care about the brand but the smile and enjoyment the rc is going to give me. Great video brother 👍👌💯
Glad to see your Arrma collection is starting to come along ! Traxxas Arrma both awesome brands ! Losi is a good 3rd for me
Awesome RC and ripping
I'm thinking about buying it would you recommend it?
Absolutely. I love this thing. I just put thicker fluid in the center diff and its amazing.
Ok thanks! What battery's did you use?
@@Statslol This one
www.horizonhobby.com/product/22.2v-5000mah-6s-100c-smart-lipo-battery-ic5/SPMX50006S100.html
@@Statslol The Typhon has a smaller battery box than other Arrmas because of the body. Two 3s Lipos stacked on top of each other might be too tall. The Spectrum 3s hard case lipos wont fit. if they are stacked.
Ok thanks man!!
Definetly going to get one of these and put street tires on it
Nice pick up! IMO...the Typhon is the best rig in Arma’s lineup. You may want to consider “truggifying” it. Gives you a bit more ground clearance and you’ll have more control when it’s in the air with larger tires. There’s some RUclips vids on how to do it.
Nah, I'll keep it as a buggy. Thats why I got it. I already have an E Revo and a Notorious.
