- At the end of last year, Chase & Status, David Rodigan and Shy FX, came together to form a new supergroup Rebel Sound. In their first ever performance they competed against 3 other crews at the Red Bull Culture Clash and came away as victorious winners.

80% of the plates they cut are artists you find on fuckin Radio 1. Rodi played to the crowd - they knew it'd be mostly kids, and that's the music they played. Crowd loved it. Don't pretend this is some oldskool shit the crowd didn't move to...

Sat here with my two dogs after a afternoon drink with my wife getting emotional watching this back. I'm 31 now and this was the best night of my life. Nothing will top it.

Yeah im pretty sure quite a few people there know who roddy is. There might a lot of young people there for the big names but it doesn't mean they're completely ignorant of music. Roddy plays Carnival every year to huge crowds.
Although i was rooting for BBK, Rebel Sound definitely had the right beats that everyone knows even if they are grime fans.

Honestly, as grime kid who got to see Roll Deep, including Dizzee at 16, in an underground under 18s rave.. and has also watched Skepta vs Devilman over a thousand times, a part of me thought them man would walk away with this but the other half of me has seen soundclashes in Yard.. OG Rodigan took tings to a next level! The second round is one of the best rounds ever, anywhere! 🔥🔥🔥
