Better you than me!!! I crochet to relax, not stress out. I don't want to have to do the menopause fan and use extra Lume just to make a Granny square!
Elise, I want you to know that I have been thoroughly enjoying your You Tube channel!! I'm 75 years old, I have been crocheting since I was 10 years old and am very excited to see your enthusiasm in this craft, along with encouraging other young people to pick it up. For years it was almost a taboo craft for younger people. I quit off and on during the years, but always go back to it when I feel the need to be grounded and quiet for a bit. When my grandmother taught me how to crochet she gave me a ball of RED crochet THREAD and a hook and started with the chain, then the single stitch, and on... I remember one time when I got frustrated and threw the whole bunch across the room and started crying she patiently told me to pick it up and go outside for awhile and play...that when I came back in it would all fall into place. Well, it did!! Over the years I have remembered that when I get stumped (in just about everything)! Just put it down for awhile and let it rest! Anyway, I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that I am watching and learning alot!! I hope this wasn't too long... Gerry
This is my story too! Im 69, she taught me when I was 12. I still have my grandmother’s steel hooks and a couple of her balls of thread. She passed away in 1977, and I’m thankful she taught me this skill & craft that has brought me so much joy.
I learned how to knit in elementary school in the earlish 2000s and only recently picked it up again. I've made six blankets so far and a couple scarves/tank tops. I love it so much and I'm happy it's no longer seen as a "boring" or "old lady" craft. I can't explain how much I've fallen in love with yarn, and the creative expression/satisfaction from the finished result is unmatched. Not to mention, relaxing.
When I forget how to count to five - something I didn’t think was possible at 48, but crochet is all about those surprises - I take it as a sign of what you said: my brain is tired. Am I hangry? When did I last hydrate? Am I tired? Exactly how long has it been since I’ve moved more than from couch or bed to bathroom and back again? Once I learned to take my inability to count as a hint, not a flaw, my crocheting got a lot better, too. Almost like there’s some lesson to learn in there,… 🤔😉
I’m 67 yo. I stopped crocheting for decades because I couldn’t bear to make another granny square (and didn’t yet have RUclips to inspire new projects and skills). Still can’t abide even looking at one, don’t understand the renewed craze for all things granny square. Nor do I ever need to make another afghan. Having said this, the flower power yarn could be an interesting way to mindlessly crochet in between amigurumi and circular knitting projects. Thank you for your review!!
Myself, I really think worrying about stitch tension, and, will it be too little or too much color left, would cause me more stress than hiding the threads. But I enjoy seeing your joy, you are a fun person.
I 500% agree with you. Don’t have issues with cutting and sewing in ends. Just need the pattern...then again, there are so many other nice patterns out there like the SUNBURST granny square which is my next project after finishing my first hexy cardi. Hats off to you, Elise..❤🎉
@@CeeceeWhip I've used charts before when crocheting doilies. They work really well when I use them. (The only thing...I'm left-handed, so, I have to be a little extra careful as I'm going the opposite direction)
I appreciate how you choose to “translate” complicated instructions. I do the same by changing an intricate sentence/paragraph style instruction (do this, do that, now do this, do that again, etc) into a simple list: do this do that now do this do that again and often will even check each line off the list until I get the hang of it all. Helps reduce frogging time immensely!
I find both with this yarn and the granny square version, its better to have some color left at the end of a round than not enough. The excess color can easily be slip stitched over to the next opening until the next rounds color is visible.
She is also an accomplished singer. As Hyacinth Bucket she had to sing off key all the time which is apparently harder than you would think for a trained singer.
I like the puzzle of this type of yarn. I love the granny square yarn, honestly. I finally figured out a pattern that works for that one & I LOVE it! It’s like a relaxing little puzzle! I can’t wait to try this one! 🧡
Oh I adore you and your videos! Your yarny reviews have helped me make so many decisions, and I'll be adding this yarn to my Christmas list. 15+ years of crocheting and I have never ONCE attempted a granny square! 😂😂 Thank you so so much for this video and for always recognizing your mistakes and showing them - you're so relatable when it comes to goof ups over crochet things! ❤❤
08:24. looks like a fried egg! I tried the granny square yarn and to me this one does looks more user friendly - mainly because you have fewer color changes. The middle color looks the most challenging - the first color there isn't much to pull out if your tension is slightly off and the last three round use the same color. Better too tight than too loose on the last three rounds because you can always have a little extra left but you don't want to run out. I might have to check this out. Thanks for the demo!
Hi Elise. I am not sure I will ever try this yarn but it was fun watching you try it out. I was wondering...would it be possible for you to do a video showing how to read crochet charts? I don't get to do it very often and when I run into one, I go into panic mode. It's a skill I want to improve and it would be nice to have a little guidance. Thanks a bunch.
@@EliseRoseCrochet Yes they are helpful, but every time I try to use one I feel like I have to learn how to read them all over again. I know practice makes perfect, but a lot of patterns do not come with a chart so my chart reading skills get rusty. It would be great to have a video reference to refresh my memory.
Great video! You are right... making mistakes and working things out is just what makes the best crocheters... also works that "Patience muscle"... necessary for so many successes!
I just got done working up one of these square, and I do have to say. I think the flower power pattern is more user friendly. Less ripping out to match the color changes. I only bought one, differently going to buy more
All the Lume products are great! They have the best deodorant I have ever used, no white film, sticky or itchy feelings. I’ve been using the deodorant for over a year.
Hi Elise, I just love watching your videos, they usually leave me either 😂😂 or saying, I love that and want to try but all in all, I love your openness and honesty. Thank you. I try not to miss any of your videos, even the ones with hubby involved. Love seeing him, he’s such fun. I’m def. going to try the RHSS flower yarn. I’m a RHSS girl. I’m happy they’re putting their center pull end visible again. I’ve RH yarn from back in the 1970’s that have the pull visible and their baby yarn was extremely soft. Still have some in my yarn stash. Thanks again.
Dear Elise, Thank you for sharing this yarn with us…to be honest I didn’t think it was worth it as I thought it would be a waste of money like the last one RH released and I don’t know why I’ve just never been a fan of the traditional granny squares, but I do love the more modern look and the different shapes that are created! And this flower power yarn looks so amazing I wish we had some in our stores in Oz. I’ll just ask my family to send me some 😅 they are so pretty I love the colourways! I hope it makes a few squares. You did a wonderful job showing how it’s created and Yes, I agree charts help with showing how the pattern is worked. Take care and God’s blessings to you and your family and community 🙏🏽🧶😻🐶🩷💜
I love the tip about doing a slipstitch. I used this yarn a few days ago. I was also off on row three but it was an easy fix. Your squares look so pretty.
Love the vlog style of this video and the kitty! I’m not a fan of Red Heart, but I love the idea of this yarn and their earlier granny square one. Not having to change colors is so appealing
Great yarn review because you not only give information and tips, but I love you putting your preference out there. I too like to write out pattern instructions line by line. The frog, fresh look at chart & your success warms my heat. Thank you
9:55 This part is so relatable, I got these color changing yarns about 2 weeks ago and I’ve had to frog so many rounds it’s crazy. I eventually got the hang of it but for people who don’t have perfect tension it’s sooooo annoying! Love your videos! ❤❤
Hi Elise, I’ve used the granny square yarn. Took some practice but figured out I had to use smaller hook to make it work. And depending on the skein, sometimes you have to leave more or less than 4” to start. Looking forward to trying the flower power yarn 😃
I saw this on the Yarnspirations site last night and was wondering the same as you did and if it was just not going to be any fun. Thank you for trying these out and they turned out so pretty! Thank you Elise for letting us know about this one. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. See you next time!
Elise Rose (Gorgeous name too, BTW) I loved this video. You had me sitting here in stitches, laughing so hard. I could literally feel your frustration and nervousness, because I'm the same way when working on something not tried before. But you did the right thing by stopping and going back, no matter how often it was necessary, and learning, learning , every time. We DO learn from our mistakes, even thought it is not always fun. The video was great, and you did beautifully on those squares. I think, so far, this is my favorite video. I've enjoyed many, but this was interesting, informative, and amusing all at the same time. 😋🤗😅🙋
Hi Elise 🌻 I'm on my 8th square (Rosy Disposition) and having a blast. It took a bit to get the tension just right, but I don't mind because it is really good practice for tension discipline. I've always had tighter stitching, and this yarn has helped tremendously to loosen up a bit. Hope to find more colors to make a bunch more. Going to use this first one to lay across the top of the backseat in my 74 Super Beetle 🧡 PS. You're my favorite Crochet Artist to follow and have learned a lot from watching your videos. God Bless!
I have tried Lume, it is a great product. Thanks for the discount. I love the All in One Granny Square, I have that one down pat. I have not tried the Flower Power yet, been wanting to get that one. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week! 🙂🥰😘❤
I love Lume! I actually use it on my hands in summer when I have to use disposable gloves. I get bad eczema, but Lume makes it so much hands don't itch from the sweat 😊
I loved this video !!! I am newer to crochet and i get so frustrated having to frog all the time while reading patters. I struggle with patters they are so overwhelming. Like you i write them out and break them down on my ipad then i can cross things out as I go . Really helps. I also ❤ how real this video was showing us that its okay to make mistakes and even for a person who has gone through classes to become a teacher of crochet and designs patterns still frogs and struggles sometimes . THanks for keeping it real !!!!❤
Thanks for testing this. I just finished their all-in-one granny squares for a blanket. I found the granny square yarn easy after figuring out the hook size, I just added or skipped a double crochet when I got to the last two sides, my eyes got used to estimating what to do. And if a tiny difference, I did a slip stitch or two at the end - works just fine for blankets. Maybe not clothing :)
I love your videos! Love the yarn being named after Hyacinth Bouquet! Too funny! Mistakes are not the end of the world - just a little lesson in patience. 😊
Thank your for working through your process with us! Some of the yarns are so pretty. I'm not sure I'd want to try the Flower Power but I am glad to see that it is doable. :)
Hi Elise and right now I am working on my cottage core mosaic blanket and granny squares blanket and butterfly mosaic blanket and granny squares for boggy creek and I love your channel and your videos and if you keep making videos I will keep watching them and what is your favorite crochet project to work on right now and favorite types of yarn to used when crocheting and keep up the great work on your RUclips channel and keep up the great work on your crochet projects
I was frustrated just watching you use the all in one granny square yarn. 😂 Love your videos. Thanks for trying these out for us so we don’t have to, or know if we want to. Also, can you stop being so cute and funny?! It’s too much. Lol. ❤
that was fun! loved the little intermissions with getting the package and feeding the family. I def chuckled a lil at how many diff camera angles you had for retreiving the package of yarn lol
I actually love the the Red ♥️ All in one granny square yarn. I use it for alot pattrrns. I've never had an issue with color change, but i have loose tension. I bought the flower power when it hit the market, but im doing the double your fun CAL with TL Yarn craft now..
I've personally been using the all in one granny square yarn for planned pooling blankets so I'm interested to see if 3 colors would work in a nice pattern because I am loving the colors more in the flower set than the granny square one.
Very pretty, glad you figured it out ☺️👍🏼… I have to keep plugging away on my Christmas gnomes because I need to make 8😵💫. I’m excited to start on my Toft Christmas Advent, my first time! Have a great weekend ☺️
I loved yo hate the All in one granny squares. I love the All in flowers power. Ugh, I know I’m going to love and hate this, more so than the all in one granny squares. I wish I knew about the slip stitch trick. Thank you, now I’m super excited.
Hello Lovely Elise😊, after that granny square self changing yarn colour, I thought oh no not again. I thought it was going to b major stress and frustration but u figured this out rather quickly so this is a maybe not a no way for me.😁 I just love granny squares so much and the flower pattern and colours r so pretty. Looking forward to what u make with these pretty granny squares. Great video as always. Love and prayers 💗💗💗🙏🙏🙏and yarn 🧶🧶🧶.
Hello! This was my first time watching your channel and I loved it! You are so much fun! However… I get frustrated easily with crocheting so I don’t know if I would challenge myself to do that yarn. But after watching you and listening to your encouragement, I may be a little more open minded in trying that yarn. One thing about crocheting that I have learned recently is that we gain skills in problem solving. :)Hugs!
Another channel I watch, @creativegrandma, showed their swatch work ups and I really liked how they looked and want to get a couple skeins but I haven’t found this yarn yet available in my stores. I usually don’t care for Red Heart but for accessories and decor, this might look really fun! Thanks for this video! I love watching you get excited over things I tend to get all giddy over myself. 😊
I dis the Daisy Do colorway. I love the color. I failed majorly with the original granny square yarn and was so hopeful with this one being only 3 colors. I finagle a bit but... I got it! My video comes out Monday. I decided on the cutest blanket to make with it utilizing this yarn but only making 3 squares. I am loving it. I have a picture of how it is looking I put at the end of the video. If you can the ball band the online written instructions have detailed photos that made it so nice and so much easier to see then the tiny writing on the band. Your squares look great.
I had the exact same experience as Ms. Elise! I used the 5.5 hook, every row one ends perfectly, I have a little trouble at row 3 ending but after making a few squares I started ending right where the color change happens. ❤❤❤❤❤
hey Elise! im 17 years old and even the age gap i relate so much to ur videos, they are perfect while i crochet, its like listening to big sis 🩷 thank u so much for amazing work u do on your channel and i hope u dont stop anytime soon
I tried it last night and today and got through one square. I don’t think it’s perfect because there’s a few spots where I might have put a twitch in the wrong spot. I like the all in one granny square better right now because I know the pattern without looking. Thanks for the video. This is the type of experience that it’s good to share and hear others experience. I do like the final square and hoping the second try is easier!
I have seen a couple of videos for this yarn and they were finding easier than the granny square yarn. Maybe they worke d out the kinks. good video nice to see people try it. I'll have to get some and try it too. Thanks.
Love this yarn and can't wait until I can get some. The granny wasn't any real issue for me. Just followed the directions. I think putting the 2 yarns together would make an awesome afghan.
ok I love that you showed yourself making dinner also !! this yarn looks interesting, maybe I'll try it sometime did the all in one granny square one before and I basically had to go remake each row all the time previously
HI - love all your videos - so fun and informative! I get the frustration - I bought the granny square and this flower power yarn BUT, since it wasn't working for me, I decided to make a scarf and matching beanie - which looks nice too - I make alot and give to charity - so I just figured - chalk it up - luckily no hot flashes for me but maybe more of "irritating flashes"! haha You did a great job though working it - yeah for you! Came out nice - looks cute! I give you tons of credit on figuring it out. Thanks for sharing :-)
Sometimes crochet makes me doubt my ability to count lol, but i find the mistakes force me to slow down and concentrate on the task at hand, which is kind of meditative. These all in one yarns are interesting, but I LOVE the process of selecting my colour pallet, so I'm not sure how much I would enjoy having the pallet selected for me. However, they do look like they would be excellent training for tension control! As always, another wonderful video, Elise! 😊
I didn't try the all in one granny yarn but you've got me intrigued to try this one! ....plus, who doesn't love flowers! ☺💖🏵🌼🌺 .... I literally lol'd when you said hyacinth bucket.... if you know the British comedy Keeping up Appearances.... LOL
It's nice to see yarn to use without worring about color changes. Looking at you having trouble with it + frogging really worried me a bit tho. Hopefully it's not targeted at new crocheters because tension-wise it can be a nightmare. The finished squares look amazing, I'd love to try it out myself if I get the opportunity. (hopefully with less frogging ahah) Thank you for testing this yarn ♥
Than you for this video, it was very fun! This idea behind this type yarn is interesting to me, and the yarn is soooooooo pretty, but I feel it doesn’t always work as intended „Save time without all those colour changing”, cause I feel like the same amount of time could be lost in „adjusting-mistake-frogging” cycle
You are my favorite YT'r. My go too especially for tips and tricks. I am sorry that I don't comment much. I have learned so much from you ❤. Can you please do a current tutorial on how to read charts and graphs? I just can't seem to get the hang of them and you are so incredible at the way you explain things and detail you give. I want to sincerely thank you for helping make my amigurumi and crochet journey so much fun! We visited our grandkids for Halloween and my 11 y.o. granddaughter asked me to teach her amigurumi. She has made a dozen creations already. So we both thank you ❤ Also, I agree. I have to write instructions down in "Taylor-nesse" so I can understand them in my own way 😂 Doesn't matter - a video or written pattern, I have to translate them. Have a wonderful weekend ❤️
Hi there! I was very excited to see that you had a video reviewing the flower power yarn as I really enjoyed watching you review the previous granny square yarn so knew this would be good! :) That hyacinth bucket one has to be one of my top 5 from the selection, really lovely green that they used and I'm not even a huge green person! I wanted to mention that after reading a comment on a different earlier video and then adapting it more from that idea, it looks so much better if you do your 4th round working into the back loop minimum, rather than going into the front of the stitch. However, if you work into the back loop and also the third loop this looks incredible and a lot better! It gives you a nice clean round finish to the petals and eliminates the "hairy" look of the yarn jagging into the top of the petals, so I think knowing what you seem to prefer think you'd really like that look as well and would love for you to try it to compare the difference! :)
I’m glad you talked about “translating”. I’m still new. I kind of do this too. Some patterns are worded so weird to me. But they must make sense to everyone else.
It really helps me to break down patterns that feel overwhelming to me. I find that if I look at just a small part, written in a way that makes sense to me, I feel so much better! 😅
@ Same. I really appreciate your videos. You’re one of the creators that actually take time to make quality content. From the editing to the “story” each video has. Thank you. I appreciate your hard work.
I love the colors they picked for those! I didn't try the granny square all in one, but I think I'm going to give the flower power one a go. I can see a cute bag made with it. :) Chad and I are making chili tonight for dinner...isn't it perfect for this time of year?
So I really liked both versions. I didn’t follow either pattern but I don’t care lol. The flower yarn I did for the most part but changed up the last row both so my square looks nicer and more square and to not have an exorbitant amount left over. Worked quite well. I also used a 6.5mm hook
I’m not sure if this will help but with the all in one granny square yarn I had to size down crochet hooks towards the end. It made it so much easier!! I love your videos!
I just bought the granny square one, not to use for granny squares but to make a hat because I liked the colors. Glad to hear the yarn is nice as I am currently using Lion Brad Heartland which I previously used in a blue that was great, but the wine colored one called Badlands just splits like crazy.
Thanks for sharing. I'm not interested in doing the squares. However, I have seen both this yarn and the granny square yarn in C2C where you just let the yarn do its own thing and they are beautiful.
@EliseRoseCrochet I've been making blankets for Boggy Creek and others have done this and they look beautiful. They are showcased every Wednesday night on different creator's channels. This week it's on Juan the Yarn Addict at 8 pm. You should check it out if you have time. It's a camp for children with serious illness founded by Paul Newman and General Norman Schwarzkopf. The kids take home a keepsake blanket. People all over the world are making them.
Okay. You’ve convinced me. Creatively Grandma and Cody liked it. Pretty TLYC liked it if I remember right. You like it. I’m gonna have to pick up a skein.
I think this is legitimately more user friendly. Since you only have 3 color changes to worry about instead of 5, the color lengths are longer and make it easier to acclimate to those tension issues
OMG Did you say Hyacinth Bucket?? That's a name of the main character from the British comedy Keeping Up Appearances. Oh I love that show. Her husband's name is actually Bucket but she was so snobby that she made it very clear to literally everyone (including the mail carrier) that her last name was Bouquet (how one could pronounce Bucket in French). lol Oh such a funny show.
I like buying yarn that’s long pieces of different colors I take them apart mix colors in how I love... thanks for sharing your videos are very helpful
Oy! I have so many projects so I don't know if I should dive in and add this to my pile of yarn or not...😂 I will say I've seen other people use this and it's easier then the granny square style because once you get past the petals you don't have to worry about a color change because the two outer rings are the same color. It seems like that one would be better to start with if you're new to this genre of yarn.

I appreciate how you choose to “translate” complicated instructions. I do the same by changing an intricate sentence/paragraph style instruction (do this, do that, now do this, do that again, etc) into a simple list:
do this
do that
now do this
do that again
and often will even check each line off the list until I get the hang of it all. Helps reduce frogging time immensely!
That's exactly what I do! Breaking it up into smaller steps helps me soooo much! 🧶🧶🧶
You’re so cute! It’s wonderful to know someone else who gets really excited over “yarny” things!
I was way too excited!! 😅😅😅
I find both with this yarn and the granny square version, its better to have some color left at the end of a round than not enough. The excess color can easily be slip stitched over to the next opening until the next rounds color is visible.
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
Patricia Routledge (Hyacinth Bucket) is also a phenominal audiobook narrator. She did Wuthering Heights, the best Heathcliffe ever!
That's how I started to feel with this one! It really was fun! 🌸🌺🌼
We should all do a blanket together with this yarn. Maybe we could all gather our yarn and be ready for January. That would be so much fun.
Sounds like a great idea
That's such a fun idea! 🌸🌺🌼
Oh I adore you and your videos! Your yarny reviews have helped me make so many decisions, and I'll be adding this yarn to my Christmas list. 15+ years of crocheting and I have never ONCE attempted a granny square! 😂😂
Thank you so so much for this video and for always recognizing your mistakes and showing them - you're so relatable when it comes to goof ups over crochet things! ❤❤
Aww thank you so much! It means the world to me! ❤️❤️❤️
08:24. looks like a fried egg!
I was just going to comment that it looked like an egg at this time! Ha ha!
Thanks for the video idea! It really is helpful once you figure out where it starts! 🧶🧶🧶
Thanks for testing these yarns for us.
You're welcome! ❤️❤️❤️
Great video! You are right... making mistakes and working things out is just what makes the best crocheters... also works that "Patience muscle"... necessary for so many successes!
Haha! Yes! I used to give up when I made mistakes, now I know it's part of the process! 🧶🧶🧶
I just got done working up one of these square, and I do have to say. I think the flower power pattern is more user friendly. Less ripping out to match the color changes. I only bought one, differently going to buy more
7:10 Thank you for sharing the slip stitch hack!! It makes me feel MUCH better about trying one of these kinds of yarns!
A lot of people shared how they did that for the All in One Granny Square yarn! 🧶🧶🧶
All the Lume products are great! They have the best deodorant I have ever used, no white film, sticky or itchy feelings. I’ve been using the deodorant for over a year.
I've been very happy with my Lume products! 🧶🧶🧶
I love when they make the center pull obvious!!! 🤓
Dear Elise,
Thank you for sharing this yarn with us…to be honest I didn’t think it was worth it as I thought it would be a waste of money like the last one RH released and I don’t know why I’ve just never been a fan of the traditional granny squares, but I do love the more modern look and the different shapes that are created!
A new video with and from you is the perfect company for finishing my scarf. Hopefully. Perfect timing again!
I'm so glad!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I love the tip about doing a slipstitch. I used this yarn a few days ago. I was also off on row three but it was an easy fix. Your squares look so pretty.
That's what I liked about this one, only one round to worry about! 🌼🌺🌸
Love the vlog style of this video and the kitty! I’m not a fan of Red Heart, but I love the idea of this yarn and their earlier granny square one. Not having to change colors is so appealing
Thanks! I thought it was really fun to film this one, too! 🌸🌺🌼
“ it just means we are all human “
Thank you for the reminder. I get so frustrated sometimes reading patterns. I’m human to 😊
Great yarn review because you not only give information and tips, but I love you putting your preference out there.
Thanks for the tip! I'm glad to hear it worked out! 🧶🧶🧶
I agree...I love her name....& you're right...take a break, try a bit later.
heyy, i usually dont comment but i just had to say it! you always make my days so much more better, making all of my bad days good again
Awwww, thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for sharing!! 😅
Hi Elise! Thank you for trying this out. I was on the fence after the all in one granny, but I think I’m going to give this a try. Happy crocheting!🤗🧶
I really enjoyed this one! It took some trial and error but once I got the hang of it I started having fun! 🧶🧶🧶
Thank you for sharing that tip!! 🧶🧶🧶
I love your videos! Love the yarn being named after Hyacinth Bouquet! Too funny! Mistakes are not the end of the world - just a little lesson in patience. 😊
I really like the way you film! Especially those cut away shots :)
8!!!! 🤯 The Christmas Advent sounds like soooo much fun!! 🎄🎅🏽❤️
I loved yo hate the All in one granny squares. I love the All in flowers power. Ugh, I know I’m going to love and hate this, more so than the all in one granny squares.
I wish I knew about the slip stitch trick. Thank you, now I’m super excited.
I purchased two skeins yesterday. Thanks for your review!
Oh I hope you like it! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for posting this! I bought some of this yarn and i haven't tried it yet. I'll keep all your tips in mind when I do!
Great video!! I love how they turned out and the yarn looked much better quality than I thought!!!
Thanks so much for sharing! I ordered these online and they came pretty quickly! 🧶🧶🧶
@ might just have to order online then so I can start “playing “ ☺️
It does take a little time to get the hang of it! 🧶🧶🧶
I have seen a couple of videos for this yarn and they were finding easier than the granny square yarn. Maybe they worke d out the kinks. good video nice to see people try it. I'll have to get some and try it too. Thanks.
Good to know others feel the same way!! 🌼🌺🌸
Love this yarn and can't wait until I can get some. The granny wasn't any real issue for me. Just followed the directions. I think putting the 2 yarns together would make an awesome afghan.
ok I love that you showed yourself making dinner also !!
this yarn looks interesting, maybe I'll try it sometime
did the all in one granny square one before and I basically had to go remake each row all the time previously
I think the last colour name is a reference to the sitcom Keeping up Appearances, in which case its pronounced "Bouquet" 😂
Oh! Thanks for the heads up! 🧶🧶🧶
Oh my gosh I came here to say the same “the bucket (bouquet) residence lady of the house speaking” 🤣🤣
ruclips.net/video/FboWtJiNYro/видео.htmlsi=znDtCTOrg004sJ_b
Me too - love that show 😄
I may give it a try. I made the granny square afghan and did alright with it.
I found this one easier than the all on granny square yarn for some reason!
Hi Elise! I absolutely love your yarn review videos, and this one was no exception 😊
Oh thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Haha! Irritating flashes! 😂
LOL
This one really was fun!! Plus the colors are gorgeous! I had no idea about Hyacinth Bucket!! 🪻🪣
@@EliseRoseCrochet It's very funny! LOL .... she pronounced her last name "Bouquet' 🤣🤣🤣
(hopefully with less frogging ahah)
Thank you for testing this yarn ♥
That hyacinth bucket one has to be one of my top 5 from the selection, really lovely green that they used and I'm not even a huge green person!
I’ve tried yarn pooling, this reminds me of that. I’d rather use up my yarn scraps and weave in ends. Your flowers look beautiful
These look beautiful! Very tempted to try one of these new skeins!! 🎉❤
They really are fun to make! 🧶🧶🧶
So I really liked both versions. I didn’t follow either pattern but I don’t care lol. The flower yarn I did for the most part but changed up the last row both so my square looks nicer and more square and to not have an exorbitant amount left over. Worked quite well. I also used a 6.5mm hook
That's amazing! Thank you for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
Well, time to learn how to do a granny square. I started learning to crochet in January and have yet to attempt one.
They are so much fun to make!! 🧶🧶🧶
You’ll love granny squares!
Oooh! Now that sounds interesting! 🧶🧶🧶
Elise, thanks for another fun video! I get such a kick out of you!
I need that Hyacinth Bucket (Bouquet)! I loved Keeping Up Appearances!
Oh wow the slip stitch till you get your color change is a smart idea too! Thanks for testing these out :)
You are hysterical with the hot flash…had me chuckling out loud.
Wow this is a dream come true i just thought about yarn specifically made for granny squares and now we have this:0
I think this is legitimately more user friendly. Since you only have 3 color changes to worry about instead of 5, the color lengths are longer and make it easier to acclimate to those tension issues
Those squares are cute🥰 I think they would make an adorable project bag💕
OMG Did you say Hyacinth Bucket?? That's a name of the main character from the British comedy Keeping Up Appearances. Oh I love that show. Her husband's name is actually Bucket but she was so snobby that she made it very clear to literally everyone (including the mail carrier) that her last name was Bouquet (how one could pronounce Bucket in French). lol Oh such a funny show.
I have been using the granny square yarn for blankets it comes out beautiful
I like buying yarn that’s long pieces of different colors I take them apart mix colors in how I love... thanks for sharing your videos are very helpful
Thank you so much. Can’t wait to try it! ❤❤❤
Hello Elise 👋. I love the names. Hyacinth bucket. Love it.
