The best use I used the original boppy for was for them to sleep. If you wrap the two end pieces to overlap over their waist they sleep for a nap amazingly. It helps them to feel like they are being held.

Just in case anyone is concerned that they have to do a full blown sanitation process for each bottle after it's used, you don't. Most bottles including the nipples and connecting pieces are dishwasher safe and if you run it on a high heat cycle it kills basically everything. Is it the equivalent of boiling water? No, but there really shouldn't be an issue. Obviously do whatever you feel is best for your baby and situation, but just know that it's not required if you weren't sure.

Thank you for recommending affordable products. So many of these videos are all high end, excessively expensive products, and it makes it hard to get a sense for the more reasonable products!

A lot of people don't realize but almost all insurance companies cover 1 breast pump per pregnancy. Each insurance company has a list of one's that that will cover in full and then if you want one of the "nicer" upgraded ones like is mentioned they will give you so much towards it and you pay the difference. The best 2 brands for breast pumps (this was per a lactation specialist I work with who help me pick my pump) are Madela and Spectra. The basic Spectra s2 plus that is usually covered in full by insurance also has all of those adjustable features that the upgraded Madela one mentioned does.

Hello! I just wanted to let you know that the baby Brezza has active lawsuits against them for not mixing in enough formula and not providing baby with the needed nutrients, etc

  • @IllyrianPrinces00

Exclusively pumped for 4 months and tried 2000 pumps including hospital grade NICU pump. Specta s2 is just as strong as madela and its way easier to use. U dnt even need to be plugged in. I’d pump and drive with hands free wearable bra all the time. In total pumped and nursed baby for 18 months. Loved the spectra. Madela has way too many parts and you have to be plugged in. I didn’t like that. Excited to try the Elvie this time.

Emily Davis youre okay! Congratulations!! I hit the second trimester this week, WOOHOO! My first trimester was absolute trash, so if you are feeling that way don’t worry it gets better! I just now got my second wind and am able to clean my house, do laundry, and cook. We found out we’re having a boy too! So many happy moments so far:) how is yours going? If anyone needs a cheap alternative to a sound machine, get a fan and face it towards the wall so it doesn't blow at your baby. It makes the same noise almost. It helps all the kids and adults sleep.

Veteran mom here with 3 children, lots of new products have come out since I had my youngest 5yrs ago. The Ouellette monitor sounds amazing but also I have seen some complaints because of the app being super glitchy aswell as giving false warnings to parents, causing unnecessary anxieties. Seems like a lot of mixed reviews for that one and wish it had enough good reviews for me to get one 😥.

Love all the items you have. I just purchased the angel care bath and I love it. I had my daughters but I never really liked it. It was so hard with so many pieces that made it clunky and heavy. I could never live without the diaper genie. I’m so glad I kept it in storage. So worth having. I have most of the items I had with my daughter but upgraded a few since it’s been 4 years now. One item I would recommend since we live Edmonton and it’s so dry. A humidifier made such a difference for us when Adria was born. She’s a December baby and the dry air was so bad. Ours has the cool and warm air. She still uses it and keeps the dry air out.

#1 NEWBORN MUST HAVE!!! Common sense!!! #2 Be as calm and quite as you possibly can! Overstimulation is REAL and they get overstimulated very easily (especially from 0-3 months) #3 SLEEP.... a healthy baby with no issues is PERFECTLY able to sleep on their BELLY! (don’t swaddle) Don’t use swings to get your baby to sleep! No pacifiers in the night. Sound machines are amazing! During the night change babies diaper before feeding or halfway through. Crying is OKAY just don’t leave them crying for more than 10 minutes. Any sleep your baby is doing should be in the same place ie don’t put them in a swing for one nap and than in a crib and then on you etc... wherever he sleeps at night is where he should be napping in during the day... Yes sometimes they fall asleep in the car or on you and that’s okay! Just make sure that the majority of time baby sleeps in the same place! I could go on and on but I’m sure a lot of people are already pissed off at me for pretty much everything I’ve said so far (probably because they’re not getting any sleep 😂😂😂)

Ummmm to prevent sids babies should absolutely always be put to sleep on their backs. When they start to role over onto their stomach that's when you can leave them in that position but you should always always always put them to sleep on their back

@@Paleo-mama iv actually did more research into this thanks to this comment and I actually feel differently now. There is scientific evidence to back up the idea that picking up a baby when they are crying and upset and holding them helps them learn emotional regulation and as someone who struggles with that I think that it's very important to hold them when they cry to help their little brains make the connection of going from stressed and crying to calm and soothed. I'm pregnant with my first so I wasnt being malicious I just .....didnt know
