Nice.. You dont need to use external compressor on vocals? ..when I record myself... I get some unusual freq. spikes, and some freq. are 0, when you look at it in SPAN or similar plugins... How to eliminate that and make it smooth?..or is it normal? I dont hear any freq that are bad or has some kind of noise..it just looks that way...and never seen it in professional recodings...

Hi Warren, Great job on the song! I'm seriously considering the Evo4. i lvoed your demo by the way. I have a question. Can you record the guitar parts on separate tracks and send them to your DAW? I'm assuming the audio you're hearing when you recorded the guitar part over the looped track wasn't being rerecorded back in to your DAW? I have a mixer that seems to do this, and it's annoying me to no end. It takes the input signal from the track I'm trying to overdub and feeds it back in the new track. It creates its' own mix which is not what I want. Thanks for any help you can provide. Dolores

Setting the right gain for the test-shredding by turning a knob and looking at the metering never has been an issue for me. What always comes down as an issue is that once I begin recording ideas, and play for a while, I get stronger, more into it, and louder. As I play didgeridoo with relatively close mic placement, that can easily crank up the energy a couple of stories. In that case, I'm f'd no matter whether I turn a knob or press a button (as I sure as hell hope the evo doesn't continuously adjust the gain!! The other thing I do is have 20 or more dB of dynamic range when doing takes). I'd rather have an automatic mic placement with a target EQ and safety headroom against distorting (or .. distoring to a target THD). Do we really need to be so specific with gain with clean preamps and digital interfaces? We can crank up 40 dB of gain lateron without artifacts, can't we ...

I'm putting in an order the instance it is shipping ready in Norway. Especially since you say it's idiot-proof, and I, the idiot, want to prove you wrong! Thank you, Warren! :)
I hear you! I'm an idiot when I'm being creative! I just want a quick easy solution to record!
@@Producelikeapro That's such a wholesome answer. :) I was inflicting some self burn. XD
Got it yesterday... Wish I could use both the monitor and the headphone outs at the same time.
Hi Robbie, aha! Thanks for the comment! I'm always just using the headphones or the monitor output, so I hadn't thought about it!
Produce Like A Pro Its great though the evo 4. Especially the auto gain setting feature. I’ll probably just use this for my mobile rig and get an id 44 for my “studio” soon. Thanks for the bundled courses as well warren. Learning quite a bit from you. Hi from indonesia btw.
Hi Robbie honestly this is perfect for me! When I’m putting down ideas I don’t want to think about this stuff at all!! You’ll love both the Evo and the whole iD range! Great company!
Produce Like A Pro I agree... loving audient.. Hope they continue making better products...
Hey Warren! Great video! Is there in any latency with the unit? You don’t mention anything in the video. Thanks Christian
Good question! I didn't notice any! I hadn't even thought about it! So it must be good!
Hi! Thank you for your great demonstration. How does the sound quality of evo4 compared to audient id4? I am still considering whether to buy evo4 or id4.
Hi, how high up does the buffer size go on this? Does it go beyond 1024? Thanks
Surprised me when he popped out the waves prs plugin. Several years ago I bought the GTR bundle without trying it and never really liked it... seems they've gotten better?
Hi Bani Grisson yes! I’m a huge fan of Paul Reed Smith! He spent a lot of time and effort creating this plug in with Waves and it shows!
