As an added bonus, if you do the quests for the brotherhood of steel, you get a good bit of energy ammo every time you enter the bunker so just enter and exit I have like 30000 mf cells from doing this. Edit: I found this only works on console

@@davefekete7187 Why would the devs go back to update the game, just for there to be another exploit? I'd use the ammo hotkey exploit for your circumstance instead.
It worked to me on PC too
Sometimes the dead money workbenches get glitched and itll say you have -650 drained cells of x type. (it can be any type). When this happens itll let you make an infinite amount of ammo and you can convert it to all the other energy ammo types. If the glitch occurs on a playthrough, itll continue to work on all dead money workbenches until you leave dead money. In hardcore mode i reccomend stashing the ammo in a firehose box near the exit so that you can grab it before you leave dead money but dont have to carry around the weight during the expansion.

I'm glad you like them! I want to make build guides that aren't too complex or take too many levels, because then it takes all of the fun out of playing the remainder of the game.
you don't need 100 lockpick to pick the door to the matter modulator
there's a way there from the second floor and the door back out can be opened from the inside
as for getting there
kill the tour guide for the planetarium key, get the keycard, and be on your way to victory
then go to the third floor and retreive the key from a briefcase next to the fallen brotherhood knights
the door leading to the matter modulator from the second floor is a regular wooden one

While I've used the Gauss rifles before, I'm more of a holorifle and Tesla cannon girl. Whenever I do an energy weapons character, I like to do Dead Money early on for the holorifle. Once you have that, you're good. It uses ammo more efficiently than Gauss rifles (one MF cell per shot vs. four or five MF cells per shot), does damage over time (more than a Tesla cannon, actually) with pretty colors added in, and you can still snipe with it. It's handed to you right at the beginning of Dead Money. All you have to hunt for are the weapon mods, two of which are in areas you have to go to complete Dead Money. Like any other weapon that uses two-handed animations, it benefits from the Commando perk. And like other energy weapons, it benefits from Meltdown. The only drawback is that you can only repair the holorifle with weapon repair kits or by going to vendors or having Raul or ED-E in your party.
As for Tesla cannons, you can't go wrong with Elijah's jury-rigged Tesla cannon or the Tesla-Beaton prototype. You can find the former early on in Old World Blues and the latter in the Mojave just by going to the crashed vertibird (though there are tough enemies there that you're not "supposed" to be able to tackle that early in the game). One of my most recent builds was a hybrid of energy weapons and guns, using Elijah's Tesla cannon and a shotgun with pulse slugs.

I would recommend you to use a more unique font and emphasize on some details by zooming in on them and more memes cuz I can see the route you're going for.

it's honestly much faster if you get the guaranteed stealth boy from the goodsprings school go into silver rush then stealthboy and crouch take everything without moving it all to the backroom one at a time, Or you can just go towards the boomers and in a shack as a unique bbgun with 70 crit damage which is doubled while sneak critical stealthboy sneak crit them and with a silent weapon to get it at level 1.
I appreciate you saying this. One of my least favorite things about these videos is me robbing Silver Rush before I learned that strat. I like how I got to make some jokes out of the non-stealth boy start, but I'm working on a New Vegas video and I'll definitely doing the stealth boy strat in Silver Rush.
I would honestly recommend going with the skilled trait over good natured as what you get definitely makes the slower level up speed worth while.

Honestly, Lockpick isn't needed because the Q-35 isn't needed.
My route for energy weapon runs is:
> 9 LCK, 6 PER, 5 AGI and 6/8/10 INT.
> Small Frame, Skilled
> E-Weapons, Repair, Survival
> 45 Repair for Light Touch at lv2, 70 Survival for Rad Child as soon as yoy get it
> Get all the crit perks, light armor perks, Laser commando, Jury Rigging and V-Recycler.
> Buy/Loot all ammo you find, Bulk included
> Conver everything into MCF Opt. once you have the perks
> Get a fully modded laser rifle, that gauss rifle and the crit Beret
> Go to HH, get compliance regulator (use with bulk) and Joshua's armor
> Proceed to delete everything

I hate how you can't get such a great gun if you pick my favorite trait.
It is really unfortunate! There is a glitch that theoretically could work around this regardless of the platform you play on, where you "freeze time" before leaving Goodsprings. This lets you fetch the gun before the prompt to rebuild your character pops up when you first leave Goodsprings. there's a bug in the silver rush were if you grab any of the weapons from the store, and load the autosave, you will see all the weapons that you grab fully repaired, nice.

Why so much into perception? I never found it especially useful. I agree with you on the INT10, though. I just think endurance should be higher for extra implants, when money is no longer an issue
Sorry for the late reply; 100% agree with you, the only reason I invested in perception on this build is that it adds to the lockpick skill, and getting enough points in both lockpick and energy weapons by level 6 is tough to do without that extra boost from perception. Even with that boost, I still have to use a skill magazine to be able to lockpick the door lol. It also boosts VATS accuracy, which can lead to a lot of funny cinematic kills.

So, if I'm not using melee or unarmed weapons I almost never increase strength past 6 because wearing power armor, and other things will easily give you as much strength as you need to blast people to bits.
I do this same build, except the combat armor is replaced with stealth suit mk 2.
I call it the super soldier.
Stealth Suit Mark 2 is great, especially because it's light armor. Actually have a build guide with that armor planned, here's hoping it work take me another 8 months to get around to the video haha.
Edit: just realized that I'm thinking of the Chinese Stealth armor. But the stealth suit is solid as well!

You CAN take wild wasteland, and use the auto doc at the end of old world blues to remove it and go get the unique gauss rifle and alien blaster

Much less versatile range-wise, limited amount of finite ammo. You also don't get the nice combat armor. But everyone has different preferences! You could do the same guide and take Wild Wasteland and just get the alien blaster instead.
