      Thank you!! Yes totally agree, this old table top had screw and dowel holes and those are still part of the piece. Whilst in a new form it still has an old story. Cheers!

    amazing. Yet again amazing. Especially the details. Not every maker would got through the process of making a tool 'just' for detailing the edges. Love to watch these projects

    My great aunt had one of those antique thread cases from her parent's mercantile store. Oh, the memories. I admire your interpretation of that cabinet!

    Loved doing this for clients. Got a wish from a nice young couple who were moving Granny's favorite dresser to their new home, but it fell out the back of the pick-up, and I was given a single broken drawer to make something so they could use it and think of her, I ripped the drawer front and made a mirror frame, didn't charge them, they seemed appreciative, plus. I had the experience !

    Very cool touch milling the cutter for the molding. I forget what they call those. Love that it came from an old piece of furniture. I like it when I can take something someone was throwing away or giving away and making something cool from it.

    • @ScottTurnerformeindustrious
      @ScottTurnerformeindustrious  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you Danny! I'm not 100% sure either what to call the cutter so profile cutter will do I suppose. The old timbers are precious indeed!

    Wow! If people only knew how much work goes into making something like this they would understand the value of furniture made by hand. I love to see reclaimed wood used on projects like this. Most people see a broken table and simply burn it or dispose of it.
    Our society currently sucks lol
