I made the Cabinet for Tobacco Storage from Oak and Black Walnut. This is my first attempt at making cabinet (furniture) and also it is my own design.
And yeah about the Hide glue, I used it because at that point of video I actually got it so I wanted to try it, works like a charm but you don't have a lot of working time with it ( 1.20 min maybe).... later when I was gluing the big Walnut panel I was afraid to use the hide glue because of working time, with PVA (Wood Glue) I have 15 mins of working time. But I definitely adore the glue, works better than PVA because it lubricates the joint much better while PVA is like gum and it makes is harder to fit the joint... Hope you understand why I was using the Hide glue and PVA glue :)
Music is recorded on guitar and mandolin entirely by me.
    Songs:
Ode to Fallen - Adrian von Ziegler
    Matts Jig - Stronghold
Lord of The Rings Medley - Lukasz Kapuscinski
    Around the Fire - Skyrim
Fall of the Magister - Dragon Age Inquisition

The most satisfying thing, in my opinion, when watching a woodworking/carpentry video is watching someone takes a rough cut of lumber or reclaimed wood and runs it through the process of cleaning up the boards with planers and jointers to make it a finished piece of wood. Its just so satisfying to watch, and when you do it yourself and see the board from the beginning of the process to the end, its even more satisfying.

When I clicked into this video I left my ambient fantasy music on figuring that it would either have a video with no music and the fantasy music would accompany it. Or it would have some general crafty music that I might silence to keep my fantasy music going. NO NEED. It opened with wow and kept the fantasy music going. I love it.

What a great video, and a lovely piece of craftsmanship. It what fascinating to watch it come together, what sets this video apart from other similar ones is the use of some proper carpentry tools, not just electrical tools. As the son of a truly great carpenter I have only admiration for people with that talent.

@@EpicWorkshop 🤔easy?I'd rather leave that with the dovetails, after all,the work piece is supposed to be useable😂😂.i rather stick to the simple stuff - so I know that it also would work😉.if someone had told me 30 years ago that i ever get good money for a piece of furniture made by me, i wouldn't have believed it because i had the 2 most awkward hands of the northern hemisphere at that time.and my tinkering accidents would have been the best example of *how not to woodwork* 😂😂.but 10 years ago i have to made a last-minute birthday present for a friend and the wooden box i've built was to my own surprise a success😂😂.and what makes me really happy is that this nix is still in use after all the years.that's priceless.and in the cold season i make some name plates, boxes or bird houses for my family and friends as a gift and for flea markets.and recently i built a small coffin for a good friends pet that passed away a day before.so she could bury her pet properly and not in shoe box.a faithful companion deserves a decent funeral like a family member.greetings from germany..have a nice day

My Brother Hobbit, I would give my left you know what to own a Middle Earth hobbit inspired Shire-leaf tobacco cabinet! WOW! That is just exquisite craftsmanship my friend. I too am a Tolkien loving pipe smoking brother of the briar! I KNOW you’ve seen the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings movies but have you noticed the pipe stand setting on the top right side of his writing desk? It’s carved from wood and the back-piece is shaped like 3 large fanned out tobacco leaves. Gorgeous! Anyway, I only just now came across your RUclips channel and saw this cabinet build. Now I’m gonna have to binge watch your other builds! EPIC! a I wish I could attach a pic. I’d send you a photo of my book shelf and my collection of Tolkien books and things. Well done!!! I actually am an amateur woodworker myself and have made myself a white oak long stem pipe. I love the detail, and the beautiful wood selection. Haven't been able to get dovetails working properly yet myself.
