    Will Shallan's mom kill Kaladin in Wind and Truth?

    I just noticed recently in WoR that Shallan uses the curse, "mothers soul". Then i found out Chan is associated with the soul on top of that. Every other instance of a curse involves a heralds name and a part of them. If this isnt a little bread crumb left by B$ then i dont know what is.

      @@MeMySkirtandI I do think the kids in the first half are being set up as protagonists, maybe even central protagonists, in the back half: there are a lot of kid characters, Human and Singer, who will be the same age as Kaladin or Shallan in Way of Kings for Stormlight 6.

    I noticed that you said that Brandon Sanderson comes full circle with his character arks, this goes back to a theory I mentioned in your previous video about Dalanar becoming a combinded shard I named Unity.
    I was reading Way of Kings and the very first chapter from Dalinar's point of view is named Unity, and Elikar was bragging it was a perfect day to kill a god, (casmfiend). In Oathbringer he has that whole "I am Unity" avenger scene where he drove away Odiums army and captured the thrill. In Rhythm of war Nevanie and Rhabonial descovered The Rhythm of War, which is Honors and Odiums combined light. Seth is going to Shinovar to bring justice to it, (and I bet reclaim the honor blades) which once United by Dalinar and the stormfather, will transend him to Honor's level.
    But once Odium finds out he's going to freak because of course he didnt see it coming because of Renarin, and also Relain since they are both part of the corrupted order of Truthwatchers.
    Eventually Dalinar will face off with Tarivangian both as gods in one final brawl in which Dalinar takes odium into himself after his relationship with the thrill for years and having to deal with both being honorable and passionate at the same time.
    I know I went very much in depth with this theory, but I can see this happening.

    • @MeMySkirtandI
      @MeMySkirtandI  7 месяцев назад +2

      You are correct, Dalinar's first chapter is Unity. But with Elhokar's boast about killing a god, my impression of full circle is that they kill Odium or rather splinter him. I think that there is a lot in the books to support your theory, and it would be a logical conclusion to Dalinar's arc. But, since that's sort of how Mistborn Era 1 ended, I see it as the expected outcome. The baseline against which Sanderson will base his twist.
      I have no idea what that twist would be, so maybe he'll surprise me and go with your ending.
      I promised you an explanation about my democratization of divinity in this video, which was part of the script I was writing at the time, but ended up being too long. So I'm saving it for my Ishar theory video, that will becoming soon.

    • @benbrady8675
      @benbrady8675 7 месяцев назад +1

      I do also think there is evidence that support Dalinar losing and the Knights radients falling under Odium's command. In Sunlit Man there is a phrase that is interesting. Nomad, who is a beloved character in stormlight under a new name is thinking this when he saw the red eyes of the cinder king: "Storms, those eyes were unnerving. Reminded Nomad of people he had once trusted, once loved." So this could indicate that the radients fall in with Odium.... I do not like this theory, but it could happen.

    • @MeMySkirtandI
      @MeMySkirtandI  7 месяцев назад +1

      That was unnerving. Though was it because his eyes were red or just glowing? Dalinar in his deal with Odium speficies that he cannot bind the Orders to follow Odium as part of the deal. But what they choose of their own free will is another matter.

      Odium can not die. Not with Taravangian at the helm. The largest shift in power dynamics i expect is for dalinar to ascend and find wherever honor's investiture is stashed. The great mystery is how Honor was slain but since things here haven't spiraled out of control we can assume that the power is still somewhere around.

  • @danielbroome5690
    @danielbroome5690 7 месяцев назад +5

    Haven't watched all of the video yet, but my theory is and until proven otherwise will be that Kaladin will not die (as thematically it makes no sense for him to at this point), but will also be restricted from intervening in a meaningful way that draws him to violence in the back half of the series (which also contradicts his development) and my theory is that he's going to taken out of contention by picking up the shard of Honor and being stuck on Roshar perpetually due to investment.
    Dalinar might become a servant of Odium due to his deal with him and become his herald across the Cosmere which might release or kill the stormfather releasing a huge amount of Honor's investiture and the night of the tears is still coming.
    Given what Sigzil said in the sunlit man (haven't finished, but going by the moment in the preview chapters) he was not surprised to see Kaladin alive when he thought he spotted him, but he WAS surprised not to see him on Roshar which would only make sense if he was stuck on Roshar somehow, and becoming an out of commission shard makes the most sense with all the evidence to me.
    Also, absorbing the Stormfather's splinter is very "the sky is mine" imo.
    Edit: This actually still works a bit with your general theory of being therapist of the heralds. The ultimate cure for the Heralds, since their condition is magical in nature, would be to reinstate the oathpact with a renewed shard of Honor.

    • @MeMySkirtandI
      @MeMySkirtandI  7 месяцев назад +5

      Yes, it seems we are barking up similar trees. I don't go as far as Honor, But bring up excellent points. I'm particularly fond of the Stormfather going deadeye in Stormlight 5 as a theory. Sanderson loves his darkest hours.

    • @danielbroome5690
      @danielbroome5690 7 месяцев назад +3

      @@MeMySkirtandI Totally. I'd love that, to have Dalinar's bond ripped apart by Odium after losing his duel of champions and the Stormfather going deadeyes (after the foreshadowing about Dalinar killing him). I like that idea a lot, of course my solution would be for Kaladin to pull together the shard and becoming kind of the inverse of Harmony, kind of a weaker shard with even more power than Preservation invested into the Spren. I think this is going to harm Roshar quite a bit and put it out of the fight with Odium, perhaps for centuries to allow Odium to run rampant across the Cosmere and be opposed by other worlds while Roshar recovers under Kaladin's stewardship.

Plus, all the Investiture we’ve seen related to Odium has been in some way a corruption or mockery of Honor’s Investiture- though I have no idea if this is intentional on Odium’s part or not. I suspect not because intentionally imitating another Shard was more Ruin’s thing

    Do you think we have seen Chana after she came back from Braize like we have seen Taln? Not many red hair people to choose from, but I can't see anyone too obvious in the text. Chana was mentioned in the new prologue as being seen as a a great soldier so my only good idea was the female swordmaster ardent (Ivis) (shaved head to hide her red hair), but she doesn't seem crazy enough. Another possible option could be jailed poop smearer that is mentioned in WoR and OB, but that would be less narratively interesting. I also think that a returned Chana would be one of the prime suspects for being the thief of Taln's honorblade. I think it's either her, Liss as Vedel if she was still in Kholinar spying on Aesudan, or Aesudan herself (who is most likely Pailiah).

    I thin youre right, but also wrong, im pretty shure some its confirmed that a part of the herlads madness is magical, wich is why theyre able to be clear for a moment when a lot of investiture is nearby like they did in oathbringer, im pretty shure dalinars plan is for him and Szeth to go to the 5th oath healing the magical part of the madness and then try to rehabilitate them!. (if your theory is correct. im still pretty shure Kal´s gon die :( )
