Nice tip with the pliers. Currently on Amazon looking for non-screw bachelor buttons. The California cancer stickers are placed on products because companies don’t want to pay for CA’s certification. I’ve bought food grade stainless steel brewers that had those CA cancer stickers. I contacted the company about it and they said they don’t sell enough in CA to warrant paying for certification, so they put the cancer stickers on all their products. Also the bachelor button is named after the bachelor button flower, because it looks like it when bloomed.

      Oh, ok. Cool info!
If you want the screw type ones, they're called Chicago screws.

I’m a logger and let me say there’s been too many times I’ve seen greenhorns wearing clip on suspenders and they seem to end up ripping them clip on suspenders off out in the brush and end up using twine to keep their trousers on 😆 them backsaw buttons are golden 💯🫡

LOL. First time I tried suspenders my dad insisted I try the cheap ones first. $7 for a set that fell off at least 3 times a day. And I was just working at a tire store!

I think if you rivet bachelor buttons to your good jeans, you're already committed to suspenders.

No, you can wear a belt still. It can be a little more of a pain to put on a belt, but it just depends on where the belt loops are in relation to the buttons.
They can be an issue if you were to lean against one, but that is actually not a big deal at all.

Hi if I wanted to ditch the suspenders for the day and use a belt instead would it be OK to do that? Or would the buttons poke out

      Great question!
I don't know how it looks, but the buttons are about the same as the main fly button on jeans. In fact, almost identical. You will not feel anything, unless you push up against something (lean against a wall, etc). I don't think that it would look much, if any, different from a normal pair of pants.

@@woodworkerroyer8497 also do you find that the buttons cause damage to your car seat of couches when you sit?

@David Abraham I haven't, no. They're pretty rounded, so they aren't really likely to cause an issue imo. It's possible, but I haven't worn them but for about a month or so, so I don't know if that will change in the next few years. If it does, then I'd say the car seat was destined for death anyway, cause no decent cloth or leather should care about buttons. You'll feel them gouge into you if they're somehow sideways, and move, so they're highly unlikely to actually do any damage.
