Took my oldest so to his first concert that night............My 9th VH concert since 1981, including sitting on stage at the US Festival. LOVED IT, great night for a proud dad!!
I was there that night. One and only time seeing Van Halen. I am so glad I was able to see the master at work at least once in my lifetime! RIP Eddie! Truly one of a kind!!!
Just discovered this jem! All the people complaining about Dave... in my opinion, any true fan, would be overwhelmed with joy to be there. At least this show. I love Sammy V.H. just as much, but Dave is a showman 1st. And hes on point here. The band was on fire for this tour. Im beside myself i missed it. Love Mike, but seeing wolfgang shine with his dad and bring a new flavor( and a bad ass one) to the live shows is killer. His base is ferocious. Technically and sonically. Apparently this tour had some sound issues. Not evident here. And playing at sound levels they do in a time of scaled back sound levels is pure rock and roll. Also shows a confidence in the band that they rule. And at least at this show... they fing do. Dave suckes? Bah ha ha...
@@CP-kb1ducrickets… people that are real Van Halen fans know that the real spirit of the band is Dave and Eddie. Sammy was a sellout. Waste of time messing around with a permutation of the band
I had side seats, so I walked over to the empty press box and sat there. During Chinatown I sing real loud 'Two Tribes Warring' Eddie looked up at me and smiled, Dave came to the side and acknowledged me and Wolfgang came over too.
I was at this show, 4th and final time I got to see the mighty van halen. Never got to see the original lineup, but I was blessed to see Edward play four times. He was the greatest of all time.
Love it. Quality is top notch , only 1/2 way thru have to watch rest later tonight. But enjoy watching VH vids. Wish they were all this clear and great sounding, far as concert footage. Thanks
Was EVH cremated or buried whole? Where is he buried? In California? It's a shame the mighty VH came to an end because of his passing, but Wolfgang didn't feel it was right for VH to continue without his father. They had such a cool logo with the slanted V and H and the wings. Wolfgang has his own band Mammoth WVH and he only plays his own songs but he played Panama and Hot for Teacher at the Taylor Hawkins concert this year. Mike is with Sammy Hagar and they play VH songs. What are Dave and Alex doing?
His voice got worse. Maybe it's just as well that Eddie passed and VH decided to disband because you can't have VH without Ed according to his son Wolfgang who was the bassist after Mike was let go. Mike is with Sammy now in Sammy's band the Circle.
Oh, so you hated when Dave left after the 1984 tours and was replaced by Sammy but now you hate that Dave came back and he can't sing like he used to? Maybe because he got older?
@@benironside1264it’s really unbelievable how some “fans” totally forgot what Van Halen is all about. They were always about the spirit and attitude first and foremost over technicalities. Those early songs defy lyrics notes and chords. It’s pure tone.
Honestly this is one of the best bootlegs from the Van Halen 2012 tour. We'll done to those who made this one possible.

I was there that night. I have seen VH every decade since the 70's. The best rock band ever! Thank's for the music and the memories. RIP Eddie

I was there- thanks for posting!!! Still super bummed I never saw the original 4 members together. Oh well much love to Van Halen and RIP King Edward!
Watching Ed is pure joy. Listening to him and Al interact musically is fuckin magic
This is a washed up version of VH ..horrible and embarrassing ... result from Sammy and Mikey being fired ........

this is some of the best audio of any "late era" vh show that i've heard. thanks for posting it!

This ... Because this was the greatest rock and roll band on earth. 🌎.
Bless the family. I grew up with Van Halen
Early 80,s & Van Halen.....those were the days to remember🔥
Thanks VH & Eddie ♥️
RIP Eddie..truly guitar hero
Great footage !! I got to see them twice in a week, before this show. In St. Paul and then Las Vegas.
Didn’t see it but the video clips …. missing the joy and fun of the original band.
Great music
Thank you.
This was my only van halen concert.

I walked out of the show during this tour..DLR sounded awful and the sound mix was distorted and muddy...big disappointment.
Wow Daves singing is worse than I imagined !
OMG Daves singing is unforgivable! All these people deserved a refund

Dave's pretty much just an embarrassment now
Who is the clown on vox?
Not you, because your mom won’t let you out if her basement…………..

No , he betrayed Van Halen
