I'm about to start a very similar project. I love the foundation, that's exactly what I want to do instead of mixing a massive amount of concrete. Looks great, cozy and comfortable. Congratulations!
You dont want to break your plywood sheets at the same joint all the way across.. start with two 8' pieces across, then cut 1 piece in half and start the next row with a 4' piece.. staggered joints make a stronger floor
loadi2 hmm so misogynistic. If my husband had a man cave that’s nice I know when to give him his space. Yes I’m interested In building one myself but I like the idea of a getaway with the added bonus of sex.(Romantic getaway for 2)Too bad you’re so small minded your partner don’t have to be just your slave.
I dont really know what misogynistic means but yes Sashalee i was joking..i love my wife very much ...and yes i even do my share of the housecleaning...but if you want i will build you your getaway for 2 for the added bonus of sex?
I love how he titled it. Most people in the building industry would just say "man cave" and get super weird with it possibly being feminine and vise versa. This one is title the masculine feminine and neutral version. It feels way more welcoming and not as intimidating.
@Chirang Reang I had budgeted £6600 but it ended up costing me £7700 due to an expensive radiator and expensive light fittings and tools. Check out my budget video for a full breakdown with all the costs
I just have to say you make making a house in your backyard possible. Thank you so much for sharing this video. I will definitely be using this video for when I am ready to make my tiny house in my backyard. You are an inspiration!!! Thank you boss
Fabulous. I have a small summer house at the top of my garden and during September when it is starting to turn cool i can go and sit inside it and it is lovely and warm..
Smart move on the thick foam insulation. I was only able to get 3/4" on mine and it's COLD! I love how you built the whole thing! My mistake was ordering an "Amish built" shed and then finishing it out myself. Amish out here are not craftsmen, and things were pretty shotty on the construction. I should have just built it myself to save time, but I'm also busy running our farm. I turned it into an amazing "Glambin" (glamor cabin) with birdseye maple wood and light fixtures out of a $2 million home! Cost a total of $3,000 USD to finish out the inside including sprayfoam! Isn't it nice sitting in something you made and say "dang I did a great job!?"

another idea if you are able to would be convert it to run on Solar energy. Can't understand 3k downvotes? Jeez, and as for the 'building standards' comments from the would-be experts, it's a posh shed, not an apartment block!!
You should make a concrete base and very well known, you should only make the frame with planks fill with concrete much faster, cheaper and better island for humidity.
I always read the comments knowing full well that I'm going to be annoyed. Clearly, I am the nosiest sort of masochist lmao. I love this and would totally live in it.

Well when all you people on here that are so negative and concerned about how structurally sound his shed is, make sure when you build one and do a video for RUclips you include how you made yours so structurally sound. I am a builder and I don't see a problem with the integrity of the shed.

Option 2: build a 'she shed'.
Genius on all sorts of levels.
