Had a Christmas party on the Queen Mary roughly 20 years ago. Was a great time. Won Regional Manager of the year and the owner paid for me and my wife to stay the night in a nice room there. It was a great evening. Amazing accommodations given the ship was approximately 100 years old. They were truly cruising in style in their day.
I chanaged my driver door and had wierd issues with 3 windows not being centrally controlled from drivers door. Could open and close rear ones from their on switch, front passenger won't respond at all, put 12v dirrect to the motor and works. Look at all fuses in the hood and under dash, all fine. Turns out there are more fuses behind glove box and one of them was blown. Finally after a year replaced fuse and everything works! Check your fuses especially when you have wierd electrical issues.
The Queen Mary is a sweet place... my daughter was 1-2 at the time we stayed in it and she started "talking" (as much as a kid that age can) to something in the dark in the middle of the night. Needless to say... that was a bittttt creepy.

I have a 3rd gen Dodge Ram 5.9 and it has this stupid thing called a TIPM (totally integrated power module) (it’s actually the fuse box under the hood) Anyway it is notorious for causing all sorts of electrical problems. I had to have mine replaced to fix my headlights not working, brake lights turning on randomly, radio not working, and a couple other things. A rebuilt TIPM fixed it all. I do believe though that the TIPM needs to be programmed to the new VIN number, or I think there might be a way to reset them as well I’m not sure.
Check the TIPM and fuses before going crazy changing parts. I'm 99% sure guys will handle the issues!!! Good luck Landon going forward with your education or work young man. You all are awesome.
I'm betting the BCM (Body Control Module) is dead. Chrysler calls it a TCM (Timer Control Module). This controls lights, Wipers, Horn etc, etc. High failure item.
I’m my 04 I had the same issue with the horn and wipers. Mine ended up being corrosion in the bottom side of the fuse panel. I sent it off to have it rebuilt. Found the repair place on eBay. Has been working great for years since
It's funny how a "packing crate" far exceeds the life of any other truck. Sorta sounds like people saying such things might be a little jealous. Now, for me, I'd never buy a 3rd gen. There are just too many electronics and electronics = problems. As far as "packing crates," I've got 450,000 on mine, and my dad's got 638,000 on his. At that mileage, a Ford and Chevy guy would have traded in thier old Ford and Chevys two or three times. It's not too bad for a "shipping crate," I'd say.
20:50 .. Switch the noisemaker to the new "Swisshhh - Swiisssh" ones .. they are not noisy and actually better and safer at letting people know your are backing up!! ... All the new construction companies in Canada are using them! :)
Congratulations on Graduating! Looks like Mom and Dad have taught you right just by the way you present yourself. Go kick some but and enjoy this life!!
"You only graduate once" Lol, wish my parents even looked at the certificate, letalone took me on a trip. 😆 One of the most painful parts of family RUclips is seeing how parents actually treat kids they care about.
There are a couple places that can repair your TIPM for $200+ if you find out that it is in fact the problem. Usually the first thing that fails in the TIPM is the starter relay, but most people wire in a Bosch relay to circumvent that. If you pull the TIPM out and someone has already done that, it's a fair bet that it needs to be repaired or replaced.
Congratulations Landon. Was kool to see Paul and Michelle All dappered up. Sean and Hunter is the Bomb! 💣 Sean is so knowledgeable and Hunter is learning too . Hope Paul , Michelle and Landon had fun on their trip🤙😎
8:37 - He hit it dead center, the strongest part; the weak points are in the corners which is why you got through, along with it being a little rolled down and flexing.
You can try to “reset” the TIPM. Unhook the battery cables and zip tie the pos. to the neg. And let it set overnight. May help may not, but it’s free to try.
I went to Texas and Mexico with my Mom and little Brother, for my Senior Trip. We started in Harlingen at the CAF Headquarters, then the next day, we went to Matamoros, Mexico; then we spent a few days in South Padre Island (where I got severely sunburnt!). Then, a couple of weeks later I went to US Navy Basic Training, in Great Lakes, Il. I cruised most of the Eastern half of the world in a Fast Attack Submarine (SSN-699). I finally took my first "Cruise" in December, 2023 and had quite a blast! @7:51... How to break your hand, in 3,2,1... @32:25... The earth is moving under Paul's feet (it moved under mine for about 10 days, after I finished my Caribbean Cruise).
Very timely for me - need to do blend doors in mine. My wife and I did that same cruise including staying on the Queen Mary the night before. Hope you had a blast!
at the beginning I was hoping it is not a control module but I thought it might be, maybe the Front Control Module (FCM)? I have not gone past 15:25 time of video yet.
I’ve been on that cruise and stayed on the queen marry as well it’s really fun and that was my first cruise that I had ever been on . Loved it !! Hope you guys did too congrats Landon !!!
I had my 04 Cummins lose all power accessories on the highway one time. Talked to a buddy that is a Cummins fleet mechanic. He told me to take the fuse box out and clean the connections underneath. Did that and haven't had an issue since. Its been at least 5 years.
I have a dirt moving company and I drove an 05 Cummins for sale. I love that truck but a couple summers ago it just died going down the road. We spent 3 or 4 days looking through it at the shop, couldn’t figure it out. Sent it to an actual mechanic and it ended up being some wiring under the fuse box, the fuse box, annnnd the gauge cluster. The cluster had been doing weird things and apparently signals go in and out of it and that also caused it to do weird electrical stuff
It's frustrating to do all that work and not have everything work. Hopefully Chad can help! Nice job Sean & Hunter on all the other stuff you corrected and added!
RE: RAM Electrical Problem. I would pull the fuse/relay box under the hood and inspect the wires under the box. I HAD several ghost issues that I cured after I found corroded wires under my fuse box.
Hope you and Michelle had a great time on the cruise!!! Sean and Hunter got a ton of work done on the Dodge truck. WOW! That was some job getting the dash out of both trucks and the one in the truck back in !! I'd have been totally snowed!!! GREAT WORK!!!
Years ago I had two pre-techie Dodges. A 72 power wagon and a 78 Ramcharger. Dad had a Cordoba. All of them were electrically challenged. I can't imagine how much worse they are now.
A friend of mine had a 95, one ton, cummins with a 6 speed he bought new. When you took off the truck wouldn't let you kill the engine, it throttled up by itself which was cool. But it didn't have fog lights so he bought a kit from Dodge to put on it. The kit included everything that was needed but after installing them with no issues they would not work. Well come to find out it needed to be hooked up to the dealer's computer so it could tell the truck's computer that it now had fog lights for them to work. Now that's pretty crazy to me. Chi-ching!!!!! The same thing happened on a Chrysler 300, I put a different abs box on it because it was damaged in a wreck and it also had to be put on the computer because it didn't recognize it since it was off a different car with a different vin #. As far as cruises go I might go on a river cruise but never one out in the ocean. The ocean is too large and mean and I don't trust it. I rode on a Goodyear blimp once but never again, I don't trust it either.
Yes! Grounds can cause problems. I would recommend checking each ground unscrewing it and scraping the paint off of the metal until it’s nice and clean then putting it back together. I put dielectric grease over top of the ground to keep it from rusting. Older vehicles need grounds cleaned.
My Mother, Father, and I came to Canada from Britain on the Queen Mary, landing in St. John NB on February 3, 1955. The trip in 3rd class took a week. Unfortunately I don't remember much about it.
I agree TIPM is most likely the issue. The TIPM measures the resistance in the harness, if it doesn’t see resistance it will essentially turn off that feature . If you talk to doge they’ll likely tell you the TIPM is bad . If you can find a snap-on or equivalent obd2 scanner/test r you can turn those features back on
As an owner of a Ram, if there's one thing I know about them it's they'll either have no electrical issues whatsoever, or, more likely, they'll have some weird, hard to pin down electrical gremlins that frustrate you to no end. My truck is in the latter category. Just 1 intermittent issue, but no amount of time at the dealer or by myself can pin down the cause. They even replaced every single part of the system at the dealership (under warranty) and that still didn't solve the problem, haha. As a mechanic once told me, Chevys have bipolar transmissions, Dodges have bipolar wiring, Fords have emotional, temperamental engines, and anything German just sucks to work on.
TIPM. Totally integrated power management system. The body control module is on the side of it. It is a 50/50 shot which failed. If you purchase a new TIPM the body control module should come with it. If you open the TIPM, and check the copper plates and the plastic separations. You will see a melted area or a plastic melted and a lot of corrosion. Clean the plates with vinegar, scrub the bad parts. Use clear paint to re insulate and sand the fuse connections. Do not paint the harness plugs. Lube them to keep moisture out. Use the lube on the body control module. This section is a wiring nightmare. If you tow. The wiring for the taillights runs throughout that night mare. I am currently removing the bcm and TIPM to make a fused and regulated connection without them.
I was wondering if something tripped/burned up when the donor truck was wrecked.
EVERYTHING runs through the key immobilizer. The ECU is programmed specifically for that key. Lower trim models rams/Jeeps did not come with SKIM so if your swapping engine/body harnesses around the engine bay fuse panel is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT between the two, the interior panel is all the same with the exception that missing fuses on non skim vehicles are filled up on immobilizer vehicles
At this point if they don’t have the old harness and everything to put it back together that truck is never going to run again. The wrong key cuts the upstream o2 sensors power so it will start and just die. Gauges, wipers, radio will all be dead until immobilizer is happy. An immobilizer is to let a criminal make as much noise as possible while stealing your car and then it just stalls out a block up the road usually locking them inside the vehicle.

Welcome to the Shawn and Hunter show. Makin' things and breakin' things.
Congratulations on Graduating! Looks like Mom and Dad have taught you right just by the way you present yourself. Go kick some but and enjoy this life!!
"You only graduate once"
Lol, wish my parents even looked at the certificate, letalone took me on a trip. 😆
One of the most painful parts of family RUclips is seeing how parents actually treat kids they care about.
So nice to see Paul finally getting out of the shop. 😂😂😂😂
Must have been a long week 😂😂😂😂
Sean: "so we connectored that back together". Great quote.
Congratulations Landon. Was kool to see Paul and Michelle All dappered up. Sean and Hunter is the Bomb! 💣 Sean is so knowledgeable and Hunter is learning too .
Hope Paul , Michelle and Landon had fun on their trip🤙😎
Nothing is better then fabrats with my morning coffee
4:05 seans look says it all hahahaha!!!
Absolute legend!!!!!!
32:32 Hunter said "we haven't fixed a thing" lmao
Carnival is our favourite cruise company. 🤟😎
Congratulations lando and shawn and hunter good luck with the truck
Wow you really have a great super crue love this channel 😊😊😊😊
I’ve been on that cruise and stayed on the queen marry as well it’s really fun and that was my first cruise that I had ever been on . Loved it !! Hope you guys did too congrats Landon !!!
Hunter has developed alot of mechanical skills besides his excellent video skills. He needs a raise.
Congrats, Landon 👏
Sean is gonna give Chad a run for his money in the wiring.😂
My grandfather went off to WWII on the Queen Mary, it’s a very cool ship to visit, especially the engine room and propeller viewing window.
So Wise , Thank You for showing some of the graduation trip. Interesting how that row of Classics just shows up . I agree when in doubt call Chad
I have been all over Queen Mary back when city of Long Beach owned it my Dad worked on it
Have a good trip guys ,I am from Sydney Australia and love watching your videos and your adventures
Years ago I had two pre-techie Dodges. A 72 power wagon and a 78 Ramcharger. Dad had a Cordoba. All of them were electrically challenged. I can't imagine how much worse they are now.
Wow,congrats landon
God Bless you all guys
I'm 70yrs old from philippines🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Sean and Hunter are just good guys to have around to mind the shop 👌
Congrats Landon! Wishing you success in life and happiness in the years to come.
Damn... you guys look so cute when you're all spruced up! Glad you had a great time! I love cruising!
Congratulations to Landon. Way to go young dude!
My Mother, Father, and I came to Canada from Britain on the Queen Mary, landing in St. John NB on February 3, 1955. The trip in 3rd class took a week. Unfortunately I don't remember much about it.
17:14 I thought the radio had to be in to test any wiring, on new cars and truck.
I agree TIPM is most likely the issue. The TIPM measures the resistance in the harness, if it doesn’t see resistance it will essentially turn off that feature . If you talk to doge they’ll likely tell you the TIPM is bad . If you can find a snap-on or equivalent obd2 scanner/test r you can turn those features back on
29:05 Now remember the fab rat's motto. We know it's Nice because we do it twice
Another great video, you all are a wonderful group of people
As an owner of a Ram, if there's one thing I know about them it's they'll either have no electrical issues whatsoever, or, more likely, they'll have some weird, hard to pin down electrical gremlins that frustrate you to no end.
Wow!! 1969 Camaro in Orange. Beautiful Clark!
