@@tnc7399 when a cop has to pull across the street blocking traffic especially at night it’s important to have ample side lighting especially in a slick top since there is no light bar that will provide side lighting and even on this car which has a lot of lights and I agree it’s a lot but when side on typically police don’t have a lot of lights so running board lights make sure that the car is visible and that not only the the side at the rear have lights and there are cases where drivers thought the rear side lighting what’s the front and have crashed into the car because they couldn’t actually see the front of the until it was too late and didn’t have enough time to stop so yes running bored lights are important but it also makes a unmarked car look more professional since anyone can mount lights to a window so it can also reassure people that it’s not a impersonator since most impersonators are not going to have lights which have been professionally mounted
