For Grusha's gym challenge, I think it's safe enough to assume you'd have a Cyclizar if you didn't have Koraidon protagonist luck, or that one would be rented to you for the challenge. You have to assume all of the challenges are at least technically doable by randos.

Glaceado’s gym challenge is certainly possible. You said that this challenge was to see if Pokémon SV was possible without protagonist’s luck. The gym would probably give you a pair of skis or something so that people other than the protagonist could beat the gym challenge.

While not possible in the base game, if the protagonist didn’t have Koraidon/Miraidon, Arven would have it. Plus, as shown in The Way Home, multiple people can fit on Koraidon/Miraidon. This would mean that, if not confined by the exact logic of the game, if the protagonist didn’t ever get Koraidon/Miraidon, Arven would still have it and therefore Arven and the protagonist could still reach the false dragon titan. That... would probably be VERY limited on pokeballs and most healing items that aren't like Sitrus berries from the sparkless which are entirely random from what I know. Not exactly fun to do either, as you'll have nearly no healing items by the end. Even just trying to train up your pokemon will drain your already limited healing. Even if it wasn't a nuzlocke it'd be basically impossible, and as one you'll probably barely get past two or three gyms before you're completely out of healing.

For Dondozo, you just need another surf Pokémon (Arven likely used his Cloister), and any ride Pokémon can help with Grusha or, as otherwise mentioned, you use an alternative (snowboard, skis, sled), then it’s all possible for an average trainer. Even Area Zero’s initial fly in could be done with a large enough flying Pokémon (I imagine it would be easy enough to have a Braviary fly you in, and, once in, the taxis will take you out if you beg enough, like Arven did).

10:40 Funnily enough, I use Zapa Pico as my hatching location, specifically when I was shiny hunting Quaxly, but also just for hatching other eggs, as well as evolving Bramblin and Rellor.
Zapa Pico may not have much significance other than where you evolve Charcadet, but I think it makes for an excellent hatching location.
It has a round-about that, going around it once or maybe twice counts as 1000 steps, maybe three times, I don't remember exactly.
What I do know, however, is that when having a Flame Body Pokémon on my egg team and using an Egg Power sandwich, I only had to go 1½ round, at full Koraidon speed about 20 seconds before a new egg hatched (Quaxly variant, of course).
It does have a couple of wandering NPCs that you can sometimes bump into, but otherwise I think it's the best location for hatching eggs that you can easily fly to.

I think it’s cool that you can technically complete all but 1 main quest location (2 if you count Grusha’s gym) without riding the legendary. Really helps the world building when you realize that protagonist isn’t the only one who could complete the quests.
However, I would argue that, in universe, the whole game should be completable without the box legendary. First, for Grusha’s gym, an NPC could just use a Cyclizar (if they didn’t use something like a snowboard or sled); the challenge doesn’t require you to use any of the box legendary’s special abilities gained from any of the titans, which makes it seem like a Cyclizar could easily be substituted.
For the Dragon Titan, while it’s true that the player character can’t swim for gameplay purposes, I don’t think it’s a stretch to say other characters could get over to the island. In fact, Arven gets over to the fight just fine. Arven doesn’t have a Cyclizar on his team, but it’s possible he may have rented one to get over to the island (I can’t remember his exact dialogue). The only water type he has is Cloyster, and I don’t think it’s guaranteed he has that by the dragon titan (even though you would probably never do Klawf after the dragon titan, the game still allows you to, which makes me think Arven either took a boat or literally just swam over to the island.

For posterity's sake, gym challenges have to be at least doable by ordinary trainers, they aren't allowed to have physically impossible challenges. So Glaseado's challenge has to be possible by default, whether it's through rental gear or ordinary ride pokemon like Cyclizar.
For Tatsugiri and Dondozo, Arven was able to join you on the islands despite his lack of a legendary pokemon, and other trainers can be found on those islands, so it's possible for ordinary people to get to those islands, either by boat or by different ride pokemon or HMs.
My concern is with physically entering Area Zero. While it is a cutscene, you have to ride Koraidon or Miraidon to enter Area Zero with your friends, and it's impossible to get a Flying Taxi into the crater. They'll get you out, but Taxis don't take people in. The warp panels also don't take you in the first time, and the elevator people would normally use doesn't function. It's possible there's a path somewhere that past explorers took to enter the crater, but it seems more likely to me that they repelled down with ropes and pitons, materials our characters don't have. So I actually think the final storyline is the one that can't be completed without protagonist powers, not the Titan storyline.

  • @HanryDaMan

For personal amusement, I set myself a challenge to complete the three storylines individually, and so I took on the gym challenge without battling any Titans or Team Star bases. While I did have to use Miraidon to get around the Fire Crew's roadblock to reach Levincia, I did spend a majority of my time just walking to each location, and this video was partly the inspiration for that. Kind of a "what if the protagonist only cared about becoming champion". I then had the great amusement of taking on all five Team Star bases and all Titans with level 70+ pokemon and OHKO nearly everything. I planned and built a team specifically for the gyms, and had a fun time with the challenge. I even beat Turo!
