I guess the one-touch tent has not consider the condition of setting up under rain, so it would not be a surprise for the two poles had been broken. The fly may not be needed on rainy days as it is to insulate heat from the sun. Thanks to Kirin for sharing her three-hours struggle with us. Not everyone expects such a crisis in camp life. She smiled after setting up the tent, she is an optimistic person.
Never use this tent except on sunny camping trip.😊🎉❤

Another South Korean RUclipsr had the same problem with the flooded floor after setting it up and used her cooking pot to scoop up the water and it really helped.

I swear, that Jeep is a Tardis -- WAY bigger on the inside than the outside. So much stuff to be hauled out and set up to make a really nice home in the woods. The rain falling does make a very soothing sound, but all that setup looks exhausting. Angie the pup adds a delightful bit of comic relief.
It's not easy to set up a tent during a rainy day. However, if there's a will, there's a way. And you succeeded. At least you and Ange are fully settled and comfortably secure in the end. While listening to the rain fall, I almost fell asleep. LOL.😅

Good job today! Solo camping is about not giving up and working the problem. Wow! That you had a drill shows that you're a professional camper. Suggestion: Undo the clips, the ones that connect the tent to the poles. I find that loosens the tension on the poles and makes it easier to set up. That's what I do when my Naturehike one touch is difficult to pitch.
Also, what brand tent was this? I couldn't see the logo. Does anyone know?

You see her putting in a screw then the camera crew comes and helps to get it erected, there is a huge gap in the process

I've setup alot of tents in my day but nothing like this. Keep it simple, tent that is. I admire how cool she stays, no pun intended.

That big clunky tent looked like a real pain in the … rain to setup by yourself. You got soaking wet! At least Ange was there to cheer you on. Still a very pretty spot. Good food and drinks. Another great camp.

Having been in situations like this, I know that even though it seems like the ambient temperature would keep you cool, the fact that the work you’re doing is not easily accomplished and somewhat stressful can raise your body temperature under that wet weather gear to the point that you start thinking about removing the rain gear and just letting yourself get wet and worry about getting dry after the work is done. If I’m not mistaken, you were probably getting pretty wet anyway. (At least that’s what it looks like.) Having a windshield squeegee on a handle would’ve helped with removing the water from inside when you’d finished pitching the tent. Love the furnishings and your tenacity. Made me wish I’d been there to help! Hella cute dog!
