It arrived that Friday feeling; oh yes. Let's start with a fun video with a big thank you to all those who have given their time to help me with the BMFA 'A' Certificate flying the Kyosho’s CALMATO ALPHA 40 Trainer. Why not sit back and prepare for some Dad's RC Hangar fun.

Chris Wow way to go, Congratulations BMFA A Certificate into the world of RC Flying. You have a bunch of great Buddies that fly RC. Big Club event the day of the test and you were the entertainment, congratulations Sir. I had to fly for our club before they would let me join, know what those nerves are like. Jeff in LA USA

Chris we've been pulling for you brother...for a while now! Watching your journey has been a pure pleasure. Congrats on the A cert!! I never had a doubt! Paul was a great part of your training...fun to watch. Now looking forward to seeing you go through that hangar and get them in the air!

Awesome Job Chris🎉🥂. What a journey! Loved the Paul Heckles video clips. I miss our Friday sessions,💜🤟🏻. B cert would be amazing. I saw the A cert as passing my driving test, and freedom to just go and fly, and never gave further thought to the B cert. Well done you, seeing this video made me very happy💜🤟🏻

Heartiest congrats. And I love your racking system for your models. The foam pipe insulation sleeves are a genius way to protect contact damage.
Thank you for your congrats, always means a lot when people comment. As for the racking, I did try with water piping, but my birds are abit heavy.
So normal racking with water pipe insulation the cheapest. It’s good because I can move it about. Have a great Sunday and thank you again. 🫡

@@DadsRCHangar If I may suggest , I would stick to your high wing aircraft (trainers and the like) for a while get some flying time under your belt, if like most of us you flew to pass the A - now that you have you can now start to fly - and have a who new learning experience, You will crash (we all do) the best we can do is learn from our mistakes repair is possible and move on . good luck and may god have mercy on us all !! LOL...

Unless you want to fly at shows etc your A cert is all you really need.
I would like to do some shows, abit to old now for lots of shows, but it would be nice to do local shows. Also pushing my self to practice the Certs is making me a better pilot. We will see, nice weather would be nice. 😃. Have a great week ahead 🫡

Two questions : 1) which is going to be your go to plane?
2)which plane are you really excited about getting into the air which as been a Hanger Queen up to now.

1) I think for Joe would be the plane I did the A cert in. Once I start flying, I will find a plane I become as one with.

@@DadsRCHangar Agree fly your "A" bird till the wings fall off then get yourself a low wing plane (not a scale bird) and fly it till the wings fall off 😂.
Then you can start to tick off those planes you have been looking at in the hanger dreaming of flying.

@@DadsRCHangar Once I had the confidence I moved to a low wing model and was pleasantly surprised. I figured if I could fly an aerobatic model I could fly a warbird.

@@DadsRCHangar 😀 well done. Times have changed. Returning to the hobby after many many years since i started at 14. I too find myself needing to pass a test if i join a club and sit a CAA test to be legal and you pay a yearly fee now. Stiil have fun and enjoy your flying. You have a nice collection of planes hanging up ready to fly 👍
@monami5201 Thank you, Things have changed, but I am sure you will enjoy as you did. I have planes at the ready, but I will do more stick time with the trainer, then get some other birds in the air. My CAA needs to be done again next year I believe, I think it’s every 5 or 6 years. I think these days in the UK it weather that’s changed the most. Gone of the days when you knew it would be warm weather for June and July when I was young. Hope you sub and stick around to follow my journey in the sky. Have a great week ahead. 🫡
