I have a RTX 4060 and it is really good, but I am not sure if it is equivalent to 2080. I got around 40 fps on FFXV at 4k (DLSS) ultra settings with NVIDIA stuff and sometimes where there are much shadows and hairworks at same time, fps drops to 25. I think rtx 2080 can handle it better in higher resolutions. I need to confirm it, but I didn't find any video with all settings at max plus NVIDIA stuff.
On specific games things can change as it's generation has different optimizations and weak spots, so maybe for FFXV in particular the rtx 2080 comes ahead thanks to it's stronger VRAM or bigger chip overall that helps with higher resolution gaming.
