Philadelphia's NOTHING return with The Great Dismal B-Sides. A collection of tracks recorded during the band's critically acclaimed "The Great Dismal" sessions, the B-Sides unearth 3 new NOTHING tracks, "Amber Gambler", "The Great Dismal", and a Delfonics cover, "La La Means I Love You".
"The world disparity and surreal circumstances that occupied all corners of life while attempting to write and record this album were so overly animated that the songs couldn't help but be contaminated," NOTHING's Domenicky Palermo comments."Trimming away at the layers to negotiate with time felt akin to ripping out whole chapters out of a novel. The reasoning behind having this be physically released in the first place, and a big part we left the title track off was to make that eventual and necessary connection."
It’s perfect. Heart wrenching and perfect.
Torchbearers for shoesgaze music. Absolutely love everything these guys put out.
Soundtrack to waking up in Episcopal Hospital with an abcess, runny nose, and pockets empty.
I got to see you guys in Philly this month. Your ode to the city at the end of the show was haunting and perfect. I wish you every happiness. If you ever need a friend, so many of us are there for you.
On the run and not stopping!
Absolutely gutting. I love that the Mr. Softee jingle starts the song on the record version. So nostalgic and haunting at the same time. I wish this was on the LP but it hits so much harder because it wasn't.
I remember hearing this and loving it during their streaming performance at the beginning of the pandemic when they released the album, I'm pretty sure it was the outro of the performance . Finally Hearing it again feels so good
And the Grammy goes to... 🖤
This is a very powerful video
What a great song and and a great video. Never been to Philadelphia or United States, but I can relate to my own suburb here in eastern Paris area, France.
Bonjour Sébastien! I live an hr away from Philly. It is a beautiful city, with so many beautiful people and cultures. It's a shame that so much beauty can have an ugly side. We here in the States, are battling for our rights and freedoms at every step. This cuntry has become a militarized zone basically. I would say you're better off not visiting the states. We have become fat, lazy cowards, to scared to stand up for what's right and just. We did it all to ourselves. Slowly creeping in like the smell of death in the air.
Philly is definitely a city with lots of character. I've been a few times-- driving there really stresses me out. But I like it. There are nice parts and some not so nice parts, but has a fantastic music scene and really fun night life.
Love this shit. Went thru entire album just to go down the rabbit hole and bust open the discography.
Love u guys .. I will be in Peru 🇵🇪 on may and just found out that u guys are given a concert 5/4 🎶 so see u there ❤
This is a beautiful piece of art. Visually and musically.
Oh no, I need it again
The thing that makes me forget
The thing that makes it make sense
I need it again
What can I say. It's my Nothing!
My heart is officially broken.
Bro the smoking the clip down into the filter. Memories….
I think its the most honest lyrics for phillys from Nicky. Thank you, for Nothing 🌟
This shit really hurt to watch. I empathize with these poor souls. There’s horror and beauty in this video. This band is amazing.
This isn't as much of a music video as it is a short form documentary.
Man that was good, what a sad decline. Not the band lol

I don't know what to say nor what to think about this
Shit I don't even what the fuck this is, depressive rock?
What I only know is that I need to watch it again
It's beautifully addictive
Shoegaze. There are so many bands with this shoegazey/dream pop/alt rock/ethereal sound so just search within the genre. Life on Venus is my favorite right now. A lot of metal in it too. Deafheaven, Loathe, Holy Fawn etc.
@@Maialeen Yeah man, I do know Deafheaven very well and Mol recently, thanks for the info m8, peace
welcome.
we're all veteran hardcore kids with older ears.
Its boring as fuck
💛💛💛💛💛💛
Fucking loneliness
I like it, but i never lived in Philly
