They almost got me 😫, luckily when I returned home I RUclips "timeshare" and all i saw was everyone complaining/regretting and crying about signing up so I immediately send the cancelation letter (priority express) I was 8 days in the 10 days cancelation window 🙏🏾

If you are with 7 days, just FedEx a letter explaining why. If you know the legal article in the area where you bought your timeshare, use it. If more than 7 days, you will have to detail why you want to cancel and provide good arguments.
I’ve had my timeshare for almost 10 years it’s fully paid off but my maintenance fees keep going up and I cannot keep paying them I have a great credit score that I do not want to destroy what do I do
That's the problem with the maintenance fees. Any ways you can sell some weeks every year to offset these fees? Also, if you don't intend to continue using the membership, you can just ask to cancel it. You will lose the investment, but it will prevent you to throw good money after bad.

Hello, if you are within the 7 days or if it is not a huge waste of time, in person is always best. But, in person, beware that they will try to pressure you to stay or even investment.

Westgate got my cousin and his girlfriend on march 11 in Orlando. How did you fair out.? I think we're under the 7days so I'm trying to multitask helping them get out of it

Like I mentioned in the video, you need to inform them as after as possible. Call them, if they are okay with it, go and get your refund and cancel the contract. If not, as you are within your time, send an email and then a letter by registered mail. You can also call your credit card company to ask for the payment to be held in the meantime.
I cancel my timeshare before the rescission date by certified mail and mailed it 5 days early, but it arrived late. Is it still good?
Legally they should go with the mailed date, not the delivery date.

Add the membership / contract #, the date you bought it, and the company and hotel you bought it from. Add a witness if you can and where and when you signed.

Direct at the company that owners the timeshare not the brand. Like for Hard Rock is it Legendary Vacation Club. It has to be in your contract

Then you are good, but you need to act fast. Write a letter to them requesting the cancelling of the timeshare and send it by email and my First Class mail. Then, inform your credit card company (if you used one) that you intend to challenge the purchase. You have 7 days to cancel legally. So, make sure you do it now. Include as many details as you can (name, address, membership #, the signature of the people that signed it initially... etc...) to make sure they know you refer to the right account. Let me know if you need any more details, but about it when you are without 7 days.
OMG! My husband and I are in the same situation from Westgate on this past Sunday. We were told we were going to have breakfast and out breakfast was a Danish and a NutriGran bar 😳 (that should’ve been my first sign)
We just got home and I had a bad dream about it that woke me up out of my sleep. I started doing the calculations for the fees & monthly payments and I’m like this doesn’t make sense financially for us 🤯 I feel like we’ve been scammed. We were suppose to be at a 90 minute presentation but were there for SIX HOURS!!! Started off saying no, no, no, then three sales reps later they waived the money down price and stated that monthly payments could be made. I had no plans on signing anything! My husband finally agreed then they said I had to sign because we were married 😫I feel scammed and I’m angry!
Today will be day three for us so I will be writing them TODAY!!!

As you didn't paid the deposit, just cancel or ignore it, I don't think they will go after you.

Without knowing more it is not easy to help you. Is it fully paid? Can you use what you can and cancel? What company?

I would send two registered letter to the resort where you bought the package and their headquarters in case the rep at the hotel discard it.

It is my experience that you can only talk to Legendary when you go to a presentation. Do you want to cancel because of the service or lack thereof, or other reasons?

@@evelyncasado5255 If you have some free weeks, you could try selling them to make some money and then, if you feel you still need to stop paying, do it as you have no more options.
One of their tricks is to require more points to use your time. In my case I have 15000 points in the Jocky Club in Los Vegas and used it for 7 days for 10000 points in 2015. Now for the same time they want 29500 points so now I only get 3 days for 15000 points that figures out to be $315.00 a night for my assessment. To me this is bait and switch. I am 80 years old and will not pay this any more.

It is too late for the law to apply, it was only valid for 7 days in Florida. Why do you want to cancel?

@@marissavazquez1150 I can't say if you can sell it without knowing about the timeshare, but my bet is likely not. Timeshare companies are like financial institutions, they will not ask for your income, they will just send you a few payment reminders, then cancel your timeshare to which I hope you have no prepaid weeks. Then, they may just stop there or try to send you collection letters. But, it is likely too costly for them to take you to court. You can always send a letter/email to them and explain that you can't pay. But, might give up or offer you a different payment option.

Should you send an intent to cancel letter prior to fulfilling you mortgage obligation? Or would it be best to have it paid out in full?
If you have it paid out in full, then the only reason for you to cancel would be to stop the monthly fee, if you have any. Normally people want to cancel as early as possible.

@@rclyde8825 If you can't book and the reason is not COVID because most of the resorts are at 30 % capacity, you should send a letter / email detailing the situation and if it is not getting fixed with 10 days, I would send a letter to cancel and if what they do. But, can you use the points/weeks you have already invested in?
@@MarioStingerPerpetualTraveller "Owners" can't book at this time. Not available for "owners" till August. All non owners can call up and rent as they please. COVID is not the reason. I do have a week from 2020 to use, at an additional cost of course. It's called a banked week fee. How can it be banked when we couldn't use it due to COVID.... This is the crap I'm tired of.
@@rclyde8825 i did a lot of bad negotiations in my life, but timeshare was by far the worse one. they lied like we don't have tomorrow. Oh my god.
I sent letter, the never responded. We called they never answer. Now they just sent me a letter asking me to pay the maintenance fee. the sells lady told me that will be no charge for 2 years. we got last year, and they already sent me a letter about fee.

@@ahmedadnan6144 Hello, the law is clear, you can cancel ANY timeshare contract with 7 days. Cancelation takes effect the date you have the proof of sending your cancelation letter. If they don't refund you promptly (within 30 days) and you paid with your credit card, call them and fill the necessary paperwork to get the transaction reversed. You normally have 30-60 days depending on the card benefits and the company to do that.

But, the usual, date and location, their names, your names, the core of the matter... .I bought a timeshare from ... and as you are within your time limit, no need to elaborate on the details as to why you want to cancel. Just that you want to exercise your rights to do so. Please refund my deposit in totality and stop any further payments effective immediately etc...If there is a specific law in the state that you know, cite it... In accordance to law, act, regulation 123 regulating timeshare cancelations.... I which to cancel my contract...
What if u don't have a job
That would depend on your assets. If you don't have a job, but you own properties that can be sold to paid... They may go after that. However, that's not likely. If you can't pay, you can't pay and that's it for most of them. You can inform them of that. I lose my job, I can't pay, I would like to cancel as I'm not sure I will have the ability to pay for a long time... See what the say.
What if it's only been more than 7 days but less than 30days
Send your letter of cancellation just the same and see what happens. During COVID-19 a lot of stuff is different. A lot of rules are also relaxed. Good luck!
