What happens to your confidence and identity it’s so powerful when you move to live in another country, when you marry or divorce, when going through grief, when having children, when losing a job, etc. We have the option and opportunity of learning and taking it as a fresh start as Matthew quite rightly said. You can become bitter or better. Yes, it's still ok to go through the process of change through difficult events, but how we look at it and what we do with it can make a huge difference in our happiness, confidence and identity. Khalil Gibran says that WORK IS LOVE MADE VISIBLE and when life is soooo tough for me to walk forward in any way, I decide to focus on the effort I’m observing while watching myself actually DO and as I’m walking ahead knees knocking and heart shaking and FINDING THE JOY IN THE FACT THAT IM WATCHING MY CREATION OF LOVE MADE VISIBLE TOWARDS MYSELF WHILE IM DOING THE SCARY THING!!!
