You know you've got a special gem of a game when you see changes like the small details with the Breaker Shotgun. The devs are swamped as is with tons of reauests from the community and they still take time to make sure the little things are perfect! Very impressive to see the attention to detail they commit themselves to 👌
I struggle to see a situation where you would bring a medpack in over a supply pack. It will need to have some sort of utility beyond just stims to be picked over alternatives.
Okay so it makes running just 1 supply pack more viable you might not need ammo but need stims you don’t have to waste a box for stims and you don’t need to worry about being full on stems when you need ammo
@@TherealBigblue22 I think the point of this is to make the medic archetype which there was information about Helmet Passives which i believe medic is one of them. I think they will be creating something that allows you to have multiple types of stims and thatd give this value, there were 2 new damage statuses as well, radiation being 1, if we have to land on irradiated planets and radiation is a slow DOT then yeah stims would be huge.

I noticed the magazine on the breaker changed all the way back when they nursed it and I thought that was just the coolest thing ever. Also if you look at the Slugger versus the normal pump shotgun you can actually see that the magazine tube on the slugger is longer. That's because the slugs themselves are actually bigger but they want in both guns to hold the same amount of shells.
If the Medic backpack doesn't completely resupply all of your stims then its redundant and basically useless compared to the regular supply pack. It needs to refill all 4 or 6 of your stims, or it needs to completely refill from a single supply drop box and stim boxes. The bit about how the breaker 15 round magazines were too expensive to produce was actually suggested to Arrowhead by a fan. So thats cool that they decided to go with it.
Wish they'd implement jamming. Make it so you can have the larger magazine for the Breaker with risk of jams. Then you could have OP Semi-Autos where you risk jams and you can have bolt, lever, single, pump, action weapons that are 100% reliable etc.
The normal supply pack already does what the medic pack would do, except it also does more, AND it can be refilled with ammo from resupply drops. My personal theory is that the medic pack became the supply pack over the course of development
I think the stim pavk would be great to auto stim if you were below 50% or some threshold or maybe constantly heal you, not enough to outpace bile/fire but maybe give you another second or two to stim yourself
What the stim packback should do is give the same effects as the med armor of +2 stims and 2secs extra healing (can stack if wearing armor to be a full med machine) AND if you reach 0 health instead of dying, youll get stimmed automatically at the cost of 2 stims (and if you dont have 2 you die)
The med kit pack would be useful if it gave you 3-4 stims instead of two. The resupply pack gives 2 stims at a time plus some more ammo and grenades on top of that. But yeah if specialized resupply packs become a thing as long as they are better than the supply pack at what they do I’m all for it
Idk about that med pack stratagem, the supply pack already gives you 2 stims plus grenades and ammo for all weapons, for this to be viable they would need to make it so the med pack completely refills stims even if your running medic armor
Just fyi, not to be like "one of those guys" or rude. But they're not clips. Clips do not have moving parts, it's just like a single stamped piece of metal that would hold rounds, you would use stripper clips for like a k98 or older rifles. Or just for storage purposes. A magazine has moving parts, you've got the follower, a spring thats inside of a housing of some sort to contain the rounds. All they did was change the magazine from like a double stack to a single stack mag, effectively. But it neat that they changed the lore around it, that's actually kinda dope.
This game is quite honestly one of the best ever made. I've never seen devs go so in-depth on these tiny changes before, and the speed in which they add and change things so quickly and so often is astounding. There's something new every week, it's amazing. Best $40 I've ever spent.
The medpack would be interesting if it came with a stim gun that targets wounded teamates and shoots it on them when you press e. Should do a little damage before so you can end up accidentally teamkilling. Can't be too convenient :)
Honestly I hope to see a return of support builds. Medics in HD2 are borderline useless, while a medic build with a Rep-80 and an Angel backpack drone was absolutely goated in HD1.
The med pack seems useless. If they really want to have a medpack kind of strat. they should make it where it gives out an aura that heals the group or something overtime or has a team wide heal every 30 seconds that you can activate that helps the team save stims. Because the supply pack already gives heals anyways so the med pack has zero use with that logic. If the med pack worked on its own stuff instead of supply stims, then it would be a great strat to have for someone who wants to play healer.
Med pack doesn't seem to have any place tbh Ressuply pack give 2 stim but also grenade and ammo If the medpack give 4 stim it still offer less utility unless your group runs full laser weapon with med kit armor If they remove the stims from the current supply backpack it will make it borderline irrelevent
It doesnt make sense either way, you will get oneshot either by bunker turret, tank, normal turret, or hulk or rocket in the face before you run out of stims. The armor still doesnt change much on helldive mode when you fight multiple things that all can oneshot and ragdoll you, even if you survive the ragdoll hit, you are dead before you can control your character again. At least thats my difficulty 9 experience where 3 strider factorys at once can get dropped by dropships on the bot side. a lot more moments that feel unfair compared to the terminid side which feels way better balanced imo.
