Isn’t that ironic, after everything she’s accomplished. Not only is she an eloquent, intelligent woman. She’s got more talent than most white actors combined.
She is an icon, an emblem, a legend, a national treasure, a leader, a role model and a great inspiration for the Latino women and always proud of her Puerto Rico and Latino culture. We respect you and love you Rita 😍😍😍
Rita has made me happy since I was a little kid. Just hearing her voice or seeing her smile lifts my spirits. I can't believe she was ever passive. I've only been around since after she'd already made it, so I always perceived her as such a strong role model, a total kick-ass who never took crap from anybody. It makes me really sad that she wasn't given parts because she's Latina. Time has more than proven there's no role she can't nail. Her talent and timing are impeccable.
I realized now that she acted in the series, ´Jane the Virgin´. I have immense respect. She kind of paved the way for other non white actresses. Still there are less main roles for women of colour. Its slowly changing. Netflix series is a blessing sometimes to see diversity and diverse stories
What an inspirational segment, Moreno. Thank you for being so vulnerable and for fighting to make a difference in Hollywood for Latinx and Puerto Rican girls everywhere.
wow i didn't knew she won all this, I almost cried watching it makes me feel so inspired because she broke all this barriers that latinos have it makes me fel that I can do it

She has so much talent and so much passion and such an inspiration to Latinas around the world,it’s amazing, she’s amazing and she gives so much motivation, and is the first Latina to win an Oscar,LIKE I mean ITS AMAZING!
Rita Moreno should win another Emmy for her current work in "One Day at a time". Not that she needs another award to be an inspiration to every Latin person that ever dreamed of being an actor. Or to any Latin person who ever dreamed of succeeding in the U.S. without forgetting where they came from. But what's fair is fair...Let her win another well deserved award. Perhaps a lifetime Award??? Join me in campaigning for it for RIta !
Love Rita Moreno She's Amazing. She's paved the way for many Puerto Rican actresses and actors. When we were discriminated against. She fought and was there present in the industry with her head held High. In the film, broadway and the television industry. We love her. She's a Icon and a Legend. She's Puerto Rican Pride.💖👑💕👊 💪 🙌💃😊😘
As a child living in NYC, I was teased with “I love to be in America” but Rita made it ok to be strong and dismiss it as an insult. ¡Viva Rita! Love her 💕
She is a true role model and legend. I love that it says that she is the first LATINA to win an Emmy, A Grammy, An Oscar and A Tony...but she is also the only PERSON to achieve all of those honors! No other man nor woman has achieved this!
LEYENDA ! desde que vi su papel de Sister Pete en OZ quede impactado de lo real que se veia , jure que habían contratado a una psicóloga real, su forma de actuar no tiene rivales , #QueVuelvaOZ
Many of us have direct knowledge of, or merely ‘suspect’ having been hired, received advancement in employment, an increase in compensation, are finally been able to lease a hard to get apartment because of discriminatory practices used in our favor, and yet only manage to muster the courage to raise a ‘stink’, when we perceive a discriminatory practice having been waged personally against us.
This is why I'm getting upset. Hollywood isn't racist but I'm upset lately with Hollywood for concentrating mainly I'm hiring black actors when Latinos need representation too in comic book films
You are a stunningly beautiful women; Your own Beauty is a perfect melange of those women who were accepted as being Beautiful in that time period: Sophia Loren, Virna Lisa, Gina Lollobridgida, Romy Schneider, Marilyn Monroe, Elle Sommer, Senta Berger, Ava Gardner, etc. However the Beauty of Dorothy Dandridge, Eartha KItt, Diahann Carroll, Hattie McDaniel, Butterfly 🦋 McQueen, Lena Horne and many others was not Seen; Honored and Accepted as True Beauty. Why would the Creator have created one prototype of a HUman Being and only considered it BEAUTY?
To say "Latino women" makes no grammatical sense. It's like saying "the first gentleman lady" in English. She is the first Latina, or the first Puerto Rican, but she isn't a "Latino woman". It makes no grammatical sense.
sissy lou doubt it. She's very calm, composed, seems happy to talk about her career and her upbringing, which I have watched in multiple interviews. Stop projecting. Sure, she's a human being with issues and quirks like the rest of us. But does that mean shes resentful? I just don't see it.
sissy lou Yeah I'd be resentful too if I never got to live up to my potential because of racism. If she's this accomplished as a Latina growing up in the 50s, imagine what she could've done as a white woman.
So attractive, Not talking about looks, talking about the inside, she has a vibe a flame that lightens up everything
Andrés Mauricio she is my dad Cousin
Having watched her in One Day At A Time; I had no idea she really could speak without an accent.
She's a national treasure. Look for her early roles in Singing in the Rain as Zelda and in King and I. She was hysterically funny in The Ritz.
Isn’t that ironic, after everything she’s accomplished. Not only is she an eloquent, intelligent woman. She’s got more talent than most white actors combined.
@@alliezamora5731 Isn't she from the same race as the whites?
Elio O Rita Moreno is mixed race like most latinos no she isn’t white.
What an amazing talent and human being. Love her!
Rita is the most beautiful 80 plus year old woman i have ever seen!

I never knew a Latina won an Oscar! My Professor told me who she was. I was astonished and amazed at her story.
she is a true role model like Oprah.
All 3 latinos winning an Oscar are Puertorican. José Ferrer, Benicio Del Toro and Rita Moreno.

She has the trifecta.. Oscar, Emmy, and Toni.
They don't make Broadway or Hollywood. It's all crap today!
She has all four? Oscar, Emmy, Grammy and Tony
Erika Badillo yup one of the few people who has an egot
And Grammy

That is not true
24 people throughout history have all the honors
what an Honor to have all of those awards won in the United States of America by a humble and smart woman as Rita Moreno.
I was fortunate to have seen Rita Moreno on stage as Maria Callas in "Master Class." For two hours I BELIEVED I was watching the later Callas.
She inspires me so much

WAIT SHE DOESN’T HAVE AN ACCENT
When she was young she looked like the Latina Version of Marilyn Monroe
That’s a lot of luck if it isn’t talent. What a fabulous woman.
She needs to thank her first husband, Dr. Leonard Gordon for her success.
Why?
No she needs to thank herself for being talented and resilient. Shut up he is not the hero of her story.
Um im not use to hearing "lydia" without a accent like OML
So, let’s try to guess one thing about the three people that didn’t like this video. 🙄
niev300 they're misogynistic losers who can't handle the idea of a Latina woman winning prestigious awards
