Congrats in completing the run! Under 24 hours is insane
He is just too skilled
@@saabiryusuf2397 a good gaming chair, even
GGG is amazing. I have to go 24h to finish one campaign and not getting 100% on it. He did all four
That was an insane stream to behold.
To think, i originally was annoyed by how much RUclips shoved the OG WoL Deathless run down my throat. I thought it was clickbait.
But i caved, had a watch, and i have been around ever since.
I am so glad i found this channel.
Hats off to you, Grant.
That was literally my first content I watched from this channel as well. It inspired me to go 100% my own campaign.
That left lane should be turned into a tourist attraction. "On your left, you could see the spot that was nuked 60 times in a row"
Grant, congratulations and hats off on your outstanding achievement. And I don't mean getting all 486 within 24h because we all knew you were going to make it.
The actual achievement is that you had ~4k audience throughout the stream. Come on, we're talking about a game that is like 15 yo. The engaged community that you built around you -- that's just simply amazing. Truly hope you're taking lots of pride for it!
Lastly, how about a video where you summarize the whole stream, its preparations, your feelings then and now? I'm sure many of us here would love to listen to that. I mean, I heard you speaking about it during the stream; I suggest for a condensed version.
I've always felt like Rigel was ex-UED. He's got a history with Mobius Core, no love for the Dominion, a relatively unique accent and an unknown amount of high-tech skills that seem to have no upper limit. He's playing a role, constantly. Leaving him to feel off to so many of us.
Or he's just a somewhat unliked character due to his writing.
I guess his manner of speaking sort of reminds me of a villain that's ready to betray you at anytime - in a way that the audience can pick it up, even if characters themselves cannot - except he doesn't actually betray Nova throughout her campaign? I can't explain exactly why is that, but that's the vibes I'm getting from him. ^^'
It felt to me like they had a plan for him early on, that plan changed when they realized maybe they weren't going to make more than one mission set after all (originally NCO was announced to be the "first" of an unknown number iirc), and they erased some complexity so they could end without visible loose ends.
He's a scientist who initially appeared incredibly subservient to Nova in her identity as a Dominion agent, then he stayed subservient when she became more independent, and when she broke off entirely he maintained his "ah yes whatever you prefer Nova, we're here to make sure you're comfortable" attitude. But he also had a few glimmers of... I guess sadism? As in, the only time his "yes ma'am" persona shifted was when he got excited about producing military technology or studying its effects.
If it was intentional, it would've been nice to see that mask shift a little (maybe instead of "we'll follow you wherever you go" in the end, he admits that he isn't loyal to anyone, but that Nova's work gives him what he wants, and that's enough?) unless his character was planned to be story-relevant in future mission packs; if that was the case, we probably would have seen a suggestion or two in the epilogue that there was more to him, like with Duran in the Brood War secret mission.
What I suspect happened is that they were a week or two from launch, they realized future storylines wouldn't be happening anymore, and they cut out that hypothetical "Reigel has a secret and will return" hint, resulting in a character who appears both one-dimensional and inconsistent.
Man, people have so much to say about irrelevant fictional characters from video games
@@ahall9839 it's almost as though humanity as a species has been recording and passing on stories about things that may not have actually happened, all for the purpose of entertaining and inspiring, for literally as long or longer than historical records exist
it's almost as though we as a species are built to care a whole lot about people, and them existing is not actually a prerequisite and never has been
@@Envy_Dragon blah blah blah
Don't bring "we as a species" into this. Most people don't obsess and write up essays about a bunch of polygons combined with voice lines.
00:00 The Escape
10:09 Sudden Strike
27:15 Enemy Intelligence
39:09 Trouble in Paradise
51:48 Night Terrors
1:10:07 Night Terrors Normal
1:23:19 Flashpoint
1:49:27 In the Enemy's Shadow
2:00:14 Dark Skies
2:20:15 End Game
I can't believe I've seen all of those. What is the most interesting for me in those is how you explain with each mission what you're doing, how you're going to do it, what are strategies etc. it really shows how much thoughts and preparation went into it and it made a good experience. Usually just a lurker in here but I wanted to say good job Grant it was a great series.
I hated how half of the mastery achievements in this campaign is speedrun, didnt have fun getting 100% on this campaign

This truly was the Easy Bake Oven of Starcraft. I'm so happy the Dust Merchants made it to the Medic Facilities in the end.
Oppenheimer promo looking good
Grant plays better starcraft 20 hours in than I do after a day off
Never doubted you for a second. After the every-sc1-and-sc2-mission run I will never doubt your skills
20:36
Watching Grant's decline into incoherent madness is fun, but "Almost fully defendedisdiddergrated." is a real highlight.
"..what do you mean what do I do now? Now I can play the game." -GGG
It was a good stream, I was able to sleep and return in time for hots lol. Congrats on finishing this run in under 24 hours
Fun facts! The Enemy Trooper who says "Get out there and find her!" and "She just disappeared" is voice actor Crispin Freeman.
He's best known for playing Winston in Overwatch in addition to various classic anime characters.
Congrats. I watched this over a week like a sane person but kudos on doing it in one go.
it took me 9 days to watch all the 24hours stream vods. hats of to the one who played it under 24
Under 24 hours, what a legend, congratulations on surviving! It was a fun to watch and I learned a lot of fun stuff that makes me want to go back and play the campaigns again.
Hey Grant! I just started playing SC2, (only a year or two so I still suck;). Just wanted to say THANK YOU!!! and you should get royalties... (from the non-existent customer service) ;) I ended up buying the full game and all the commanders just because the GOATs like you make it look so fun and easy! ... Then reality sets in and a keyboard embedded in the wall reminds me it's a love and hate relationship ;D
Mad respect bud! Never stop! lets force them to add some legit CO-OP maps!!!
Huge congratz! Couldn't catch all of it live finally watched my way through all the vods. Very inspirational. Finally made me pick up my own achievement hunt in SC2 again. Up to 96% on Wings and many more to go. Probably more than 24 hours though :D
24:12 I love that bit of dialogue. Our boy Matt is redirecting and he knows it.
So it took GGG 22:24 to finish this, ':' is also a sign for division, so it can be written as 22/24, which is how long it took GGG to do this (22 hours out of 24)!
*mind blown*
Way better than 2222.
Watching your videos, the 24hr run and the challenges, makes me want to play through the whole campaign again 👌🏻
What a cool run! Just dropping a comment to let you know that I watched all of it.... Within the span of one week. Kudos for doing it in sub 24 hours!
the real question is why is john "nova" covert-ops a base commander.
That was a wild ride. Great run and good job, Grant!
Congratulations for achieving this incredible feat!
Man I have watched the entire series in over than 1 week and I’m exhausted😂
I may or may not have had a playthrough where I turned every map I could into a nuclear wasteland...
So, how many Games could a Giant Grant game if a Giant Grant could game Games?
Congratulations! This was amazing!
Congrats on the epic run! was a wild ride to watch parts live. An idea for the next time you ever want to go thou the pain of a 24 hour live stream again is could try doing the campaigns of StarCraft 1 its expansion Brood War, WarCraft 3 and is expansion The Frozen Throne all on there hardest difficulties in under 24 hours. Could be a fun one to try out if you ever want to spend this much time and energy planning out a run for our entertainment again.
Daaaaamn my dude. This is really impressive. Not even really /that/ close to 24 hours, by the standards of things like this. Well done.
that was insane challenge! Thanks
Congratulations! You did nice work!
60 Nuke Silo is awesome!
In conclusion, I can confidently say: Nuclear missile ready
congratulations! that was awesome!
Obscure StarCraft trivia: every named Dominion general who says the word "gorgon" says it incorrectly in the exact same way
15:20 to be fair, Grant's perspective of what is short or not is a little skewed
GIANT Grant Games certainly has a biased perspective on shortness
it was such amazing run
congratulations 🎉
Gg I loved it. Keep working hard.
The Nova achievements... Really suck. So many of them require playing the game in utterly silly ways. Like beating that one mission without clearing any of the Zerg.. Even though you have to kill most structures to finish the objective.. And if you do the wrong structure, you just dont get the achievement.
Amazing stream, comment for the algorithm!
Got the 100% today, now I've all campaigns and Nova Covert Ops completed with 100%, like you Grant
You are a legend Grand and I'm somehow ashamed that even after over 200 hours playing Starcraft 2 I dont even have one campain with 100%
I have over 3000 and I'm at 36/0/8/56. :)
Awesome!
Now the real question is do you actually remember any of this run?
Whole thing was/is awesome!
I was one of the people to join in at TLV just to watch someone so broken inside that they'd inflict that achievement on themselves :p
100% All of Starcraft 2's story achievements in under 24 hours. I'll borrow from another Blizzard franchise by saying, "Hail to you, Champion!"
18:15 Pretty simple actually. The command center only counts nearby mineral clusters for the x/y floating above it. The SVCs that are mining from nodes that are close enough to be counted are counted as mining for that base, the ones that are going further away for minerals are "long distance mining" and don't count. In Ladder you also don't get red numbers over your saturated base just because you also have workers long distance mining from that base you still haven't finished
Was going to wait for the end before congratulating you, what an absolutely phenomenal run!
But yeah, commenting a little bit early -- Definitely should have taken that bio break you're talking about at the 2h mark, holding it is bad for you, like stretching a balloon.
@2:04:00 perhaps reading the notes out aloud would have helped with comprehension?
Can you beat Nova Covert Ops using only Marines?
You know, after the first mission.
wish we got the gunblade in co op
Car go car go car.
The car go car go car go.
Go car go car go.
I love you Grant.
Absolute legend
GGs!
Grant is a legend!! Gon Grantulations Grant!
Such a shame we don't get to see the comments of the audience that was there during the 24 hours of the stream.
1:43:22 dang that marine got spined so hard gravity stopped working on him
Are the nuclear missiles ready in the medical facilities?
"Nuclear misile ready"
We were there when it happened.
52:10 Wait, is this Whale Mission what inspired that McGuffin from Avatar 2?
No need. Real-life humans spent more than a hundred years collectively (and to this day in small numbers) exterminating whales, particularly sperm whales, for ambergris, various oils, blubber and bones. Spermaceti was likely the most direct inspiration for that specific element in Avatar 2.
You absolute Chad!
Haha, grats!
It is curious how the achivements go from "do this in a certain way" to mostly "do this in a certain time limit".
insane
Next time: Deathless Realscale Nightmare 24 hr stream
Now that this challenge is over we all know what GGG has to do in order to top it.
Nightmare StarCraft 1 and StarCraft 2 100% Deathless.
Grant makes it look so easy haha, the xanthos killed my entire army multiple times 😂
Don't forget about the medical facilities GGG
Real Scale Nova Covert Ops?
"Where is High Lord Alarak? Where is Low Lord Alarak? What about Mid Lord Alarak?" 1:22:35
Nice
I never liked sudden strike mission:
10 anniversary achievement basically impossible without taking Horner's base.
Ravagers can somehow bile without high ground vision.
Zerg queens just randomly walking down the ramp and back for no reasons.
Cool
there are an speedrun ladder table of this?
gg
You should play Supreme commander it's a very good rts game
24 hours deathless
i don't understand why on brutal there's not a 10's birthday mission that ask you to destroy the zerg bases on normal or something like that, it would be better than just defend the base of matt
Day 5 of asking you to play StarCraft 2 Odyssey, i understand that you probably have a bunch of plans already, but i would love if you gave it a chance, so pleeease give it a chance.
Pretty please
I heard "Children raider" instead of "shield generator" ...
22:17 GGG speedruning GtaV confrimed
How long I must wait Mass recal real scale?
does anyone know what happens if you dominate Davis at the very end? never got around to testing myself
i mean, part of me feels like there should be a secret ending or something like that if you dominate Davis, probably where Nova just, well, decides to arrest her
@@judahsmyth5398 Davis is immune to dominate. Apparently she is considered a hero unit.
@@notatree4022 i see, thank you, saves me doing the whole mission with dominate specifically to test that
I wonder if that bleeding out spire would have survived if it was any of the other bigger buildings
Edit: you say the same thing like a minute after my pause to comment that.. ha.. well still curious anyway!
@GigantGrantGamesArchives hi when is gona be last 4 episode from tactical arsenal?
New clear ms isle reddy
I've always been frustrated that in Mission 4 even if you kill off all the hatcheries, they still send a trickle of zerg against you anyway.
Damn sub 23
2:00:17
I never actually played N:CO, what exactly is the story here?
1:18:11 Very true. Reigel is so annoying and one of the least interesting characters in SC universe.
Hi, Grant, did you perhaps pursue a Master's degree? Your strategies are very detailed and structured, while you still maintain that beloved humor (comes with experience of thinking outside the box, making mistakes while, taking into consideration of calculated risks). Absolutely, love your content.
Reigel is cool, Karax is the annoying one
Only Nova Covered Ops for 100% remaining, hype
