- What does it mean to be blessed? Are we asking for the right things? And more importantly, are we seeing the blessings that we have in our life right now? Do we know what Jesus promised to us and are we living in the fullness of that truth? We’ll look at Old Testament Blessing versus New Testament and what Jesus promised in this life!

I often hear people say, "God is good!" in response to an answered prayer. While that is true, I think, "God is good even when the prayer isn't answered the way we think it should be." One Thanksgiving, I thought about all the ways we are "blessed." I looked at each thing and thought whether I would be grateful even if those things were taken away. What it came down to is that I would still feel thankful even if all those earthly blessings were taken away and all I had was Jesus.

Diana, I love your videos and get so much from them. Personally, I find the background music distracting. This is not a criticism and I realize that most will not be bothered by it. There is such good content in this video, but had to stop half way through. Thank you so much for sharing God's word with us.
Maybe the music could be a little softer. It's to loud compared to your voice.

This is so very awesome. Thank you. I’ve always felt strange when there is a catastrophe and people spared think they are blessed. I’ve always thought then does that mean those that were undone through this catastrophe weren’t good enough to be blessed??? I have a dear friend who died of breast cancer almost two years ago. She put me to shame in her treatment of others. Such a dear sweet woman. ♥️ She felt blessed even through it all. I have always struggled with this.
We are blessed not because of what we have but because of who He is!
Thank you for this Diana I really needed this today. I've been feeling down & thinking God cannot use me anymore as I'm unable to do anything for Him! I'm disabled& have no conveyance so cannot get out & about it could be days before I see anyone & then my words come out wrong & I don't help God at all! I guess I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself atm but I do pray A LOT I have a prayer list for everyday about everyone plus extras but lately I've been feeling this isn't enough. But now I see that I'm blessed in my spirit & my heart so thank you again for this teaching 🙏❤

Ahhhh… NOW I understand the true concept of a blessing since we are in a different dispensation from the old test testament, a blessing now currently symbolizes something internal of the inward spirit..instead of a blessing circumstantially on the outside.

We studied the Beatitudes at a Christian camp where I worked last summer. Blessed means “full, whole, and well in every way, physically, emotionally, spiritually and any other “ly” you can name. “Happy” is only part of it. But “happy are those who mourn” is such an interesting juxtaposition of ideas!

Recently I purchased a book you recommended by Skye Jethani, which I haven’t read as yet but at the same time I purchased the devotional about the sermon on the mount, called What if Jesus was Serious, it’s divided into easy to read portions but gives such a different slant on how to understand the sermon, a real eye opener than anything I’d heard preached over the years. Diana, I really appreciate your insights and teaching. I’ve never heard the beatitudes explained as it relates to the steps of knowing and growing in Christ. Very helpful.
If I may offer a word of constructive criticism, you could do without the background music. It made it hard to hear what you were saying, it was very distracting (I struggle with attention deficit disorder), and, as the video progressed, it just really got on my nerves. 😵💫

One of my biggest pet peeves is when people post a family photo and the comments explode with, "Beautiful family, you're so blessed!" The only thing to conclude from statements like that is almost-40-single-cat-lady me must not be blessed. I try to laugh it off, but it hurts. Thanks for explaining this!

I like this talk but too much music. It would be nice maybe a little music at closing but not through the whole video. It’s a little loud also.
Lack and illness are never blessings. Only satan comes to kill us, steal from us and destroy us (John 10:10). Those dysfunctions are from the enemy, not from God. Jesus has provided spiritual blessings as well as physical blessings. In Psalm 103:3 God promises to heal all our diseases. Jesus Christ didn't do away with that promise.
It’s important to realize that the Psalms are books of poetry. While the character of God is never changing, the Psalms are not literal. Does God still heal? Absolutely! But there is no Promise of healing in this world.
