I've started a prayer list on my phone and immediately add requests to it as I tell people I'll pray for them. I meet with 3 friends once a week and we pray through our lists. And I add answers as we get them. It has improved my prayer life.
Diana, I have to tell you how meaningful this was for me this morning. Last year I was called into a position of leadership in my church (Relief Society president in an LDS ward) that is entirely out of my natural comfort zone. I love the women in my congregation who I am called to serve, but I often struggle to know how to connect deeply and serve in meaningful ways. I pray constantly for them and for guidance in my service but I think today the Lord is nudging me, through you, to incorporate more regular fasting as I seek guidance and blessings. Thank you for all you do and for sharing your testimony with us all ❤️
I am a primary president and this helps me so much to have meaningful pray for all my children but I agree that fast will help too connect with Heavenly Father and is will too.
There is so much power in prayer!!!!!! Thank you Diana for challenging us in this way!!!! I totally agree with having the requests visible makes it so effective!!!!! God is so faithful!!! And although doesn't always answer our prayers how or when we want them, He cares so deeply for what we care about!!!! My journey of waiting and trusting Him when I don't see anything happening has drawn me so much closer to Him!!! And although I still desire a husband, Jesus has become enough for me!!! It's a work In progress but I'm so thankful for how far He has brought me and never left me!!!!! Blessings on you Diana!!!!!! I've heard of fasting other things like not watching TV or social media during a certain time. I think that fast would really 🤔 bring the "reality of our own life" and our needs and needs of others to the forefront rather than focusing on distant people we don't really know. I want to do this and make a point of praying during that fast. 🙏 I believe this fast will be powerful and allow me to lean in to God.
After listening to your video I went immediately and made my prayer board! I had a dry erase board I wasn’t using. It’s posted in my bedroom to pray at night and in the morning. Thank you!!!!
I so love this idea. One thing I do to help remind me to pray is on my Apple Watch face I get to load pictures from my gallery. I have pictures of my family and my friends and I have some pictures of ideas that we are praying for. As my pictures rotate through my i watch I see them and I pray for that person when their face pops up.

I enjoy other forms of fasting too. I really enjoy a week of fasting from making any purchases and fasting from social media. I fast in smaller amounts from social media and really enjoy the silence this brings. These are things I can over consume without conscious thought. Thanks Diana for your ideas on prayer boards - white boards are a great idea.

I would like to point out - and I am not saying you don’t know this - that not all single people desire or require prayers for a mate. God does call some people into singleness for His purposes. Being a person who is not called to be single, I have recently realized my own bias in this area, and because of this, I desire to be more supportive of and encouraging to those who are called into singleness.

My ministry team uses a prayer board for weekly prayer meetings. The board is divided into 3 parts: current prayers, answered prayers, and last week’s prayers. The prayers are all written on individual sticky post-it notes that can be moved around. Each meeting starts by placing all the previous week’s prayers on the bottom of the board - “last week’s prayers”. If the prayer has been answered, it is then placed in the “answered” section and we give thanks to God. If the prayer needs to be ongoing, it is placed in the “current” section and we continue to pray. Then any new prayers are also added to the “current” section. The prayer board is kept in a visible place for the team to see throughout the week and acts as a reminder.

How do you reconcile prayer? As a christian I am failing to see why some have prayers answered and some not. is prayer really answered or is that just how life is? if God only answers the prayers of the rich and those living in affluent societies, what is that saying to the poor? PLEASE understand this is a real question, I am christian and genuinely seeking christian opinion on this. I have not reconciled it yet. I have kept prayer lists over the years. currently don't pray due to this issue.
@Annee ...I have the same questions/issues that have dogged my thoughts, and I also love the Lord. I have been in the car with other faithful Christians, and they have asked the Lord to help them find a parking spot. When a spot is found, they say Thank you Lord. In my mind, if the Lord has time to find parking spaces for peoples shopping convenience, he should also be able to find the time to help organise to feed the starving children of the world. It's issues like this that really test my faith. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I understand where you are coming from with regards to your question.
Amen! I love this idea! I had been writing my prayers out on paper.. I’ll be honest.. I don’t know what to do with them after they’d been answered. I’d feel guilty if I threw them away, so I just hold on to them.. I’ve got a pretty good stack going! I watch Dawn a lot and I’m trying to go more minimal, but it’s hard when it comes to throwing away these prayers! I don’t like to throw anything away that has to do with the Lord. What do you suggest?
I'm not sure what you should do. Paper clutter drives me crazy. If the prayers are answered, I think a prayer to ask the Lord to continue to answer their prayer. Then I might make a little ritual to end the prayer, like burning the papers. What do you think?

@Provo Person please don't give up. Keep praying but also keep believing that healing will/may come. We should believe God for our healing. If we believe God for our healing, we will keep praying for our healing until it comes. Whether our healing takes a split-second or a very long time to arrive, we will keep praying and believing for our healing. I know it's frustrating...the waiting. It can be hard to change our mindset. We also have to realize that God loves you and He is sovereign. Trust that He has your best interest at heart. When we endure trials of any kind it's an opportunity for our faith to grow. He's going through it right along with you❤

Would a prayer scrap book be considered clutter? You could glue them in a book for safekeeping, if you like.
