Diana I first heard about the Bible Recap when you were on Dawns site. This January I started my 2nd time to go through the Bible. I have created an early morning habit of reading the Bible and listening to Tara Leigh Cobble bring even more enlightenment with her explanation of what we have read. I love it. And because of your ministry I have shared it with others who have also started reading the Bible. I thank you and Dawn for the life changing information. He’s where the joy is!

I took your advice and it’s made all the difference in my consistency in reading my Bible. You suggested that we make a plan to do our reading before we do something we enjoy. For me checking my emails and text messages was the one thing I did every day. So now before I do anything on my phone, I check Bible Recap for the reading plan of the day and listen to the Recap. It works! I am on day 27 and haven’t missed a day. It’s a MIRACLE 🤗

I am so grateful for you recommending the Bible Recap. I am a mom and teacher. I wake at 345 am and read the daily reading and then listen to the podcast. I am loving it. You also recommended the Dwell app. I also listen to the Word especially when I need encouragement or need help failing asleep.
This is my second time doing the Bible recap. I followed the plan for 2020. Awesome. I’m back at it again but with a twist. I purchased the dwell app. When my alarm goes off I make myself a cup of hot water and curl up under a cozy blanket and listen and sip. So much easier for me than reading first thing. I look forward to it every morning. You gotta love Tara-Leigh.
Hey Diana 👋. I'm so glad that I found you. I started watching Dawn and you when you were doing RUclips together. I'd heard you talk about the Bible Recap and thought good for her. Then I took the plunge and did the New Testament last year. Only one word AMAZING. Now my husband and I are reading through with The Bible Recap and I meet with a friend every Saturday morning to talk about what we learned. Thank you so much for continuing to share. Your simply amazing. (A the Word of God is becoming more alive to me everyday.) Thanks 😊 again.
I've been following the Bible Recap reading plan on Youversion since I heard you & Dawn talk about it. It's taking me way longer than a year to get through it, but I'm getting there! Slow progress is better than no progress.

I did try the Bible Recap, but it just isn't for me. I'm grateful it is a huge help for others. Each of us has a different learning/study style. I'm using the year long reading plan that's printed in my Bible, so far I've kept up. I'm also reading one of the books you recommended, Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus. It's amazingly eye opening! Just last Sunday evening a new friend and I started a small group to study Proverbs and we were thrilled to have 2 others join us! I have loved getting into daily reading scripture with Bible recap app. (I also do a Bible study with a church group) soooo I am a little slower then what it says to be done bible in a year. I am not going to beat myself up for it because I am learning so much at the pace I am doing it. I get up at 4:45- 5:00 to get in word and pray before work. I am a preschool teacher in my home and this has made a huge change in my life. Positive change!
I started "The Bible Recap" January 1 and I am so thankful to you for turning me on to this plan. For years, I have read a daily chronological bible. However, TBR has really been so good and I am no longer doing daily reading because of "a to-do obligation; but I am excited to get to TBR every day. Thanks so much Diana. I so appreciate you...
Thanks for all the book suggestions. I love the two Bible studies I belong to. One is a study of one book of the Bible at a time and the other is a personal application study (currently Priscilla Shreier "The Armour of God".

I really started upping my reading game with the hot beverage video. I jumped from struggling to once a week to reading much more regular than not. I’ve not read it until I started this time again. This time the story is mesmerizing, I’m looking forward to reading it again. Thank you for the coffee / hot drinks video. Now I can’t get enough.

Thank you for recommending the Bible Recap! I love reading the Bible in chronoligical order faster and from the 10,000-ft level. I have read the entire Bible before, but not in such an 'overview of the entire story' way. It truly is a wonderful way to see God and the bigger picture and connect the dots. I need no accountability, because I cannot wait to dig in every day, but I am doing it with my husband - so fun! We do it at the end of the day instead of watching Netflix. We cannot wait to get the kids to bed, finish the kitchen, etc., and snuggle in to read together! I cannot wait to finish and then do it all again but really studying and digging in deeper with each reading!
I use ‘Through the Word’ app. It is free and I learn a lot from the short commentary on each chapter then the chapter reads after that. It is very flexible if you want to read the New Testament in a year or go to a subject or go through the entire Bible through their Journeys. I listen in my car.
Hi Diana! I wanted to thank you for introducing me to The Bible Recap podcast last year. As a result, I read through the Bible for the 3rd time in 2022! I’m currently following The Bible Recap for this year as well. I can’t say enough good things about The Bible Recap. Tara Leigh has helped me understand so many things and I’ve had such great discussions with my husband as well after listening to the day’s podcast. I also invited my friend last year to read through the New Testament with me and she did! She is now my Bible reading partner! Thank you again for your great recommendations and inspiring content! I love the "Decluttering by Faith" it is a great devotional and so well put together. I look forward to each of the questions to meditate upon and complete. I read through the Bible in chronological order last year; it was so rewarding to me. This year, I am reading through the New Testament and am taking it slowly and using a study Bible, which helps a lot. I am on track! Thank you for the suggestion of TBR book. Reading is better for me. Sometimes I read TBR before I read the Bible, then watch the recap with TLC. Helps it to stay in my mind!
When driving please do not wear both earphones, you may not be able to hear sirens or other safety warnings. I really enjoy your channel. Only trying to watch out for your safety.

Please know the laws for your state. Headphones are illegal here while driving. Put it on your car speakers and let your kids benefit as well. My two cents - take it or leave it. 😂 PS Love your messages! Great list of resources.
Always love your videos. This is the first time I had a concern. It is my understanding that earphones cannot be worn in both ears while driving. Not only concerned about the law but your safety, as well. Thank you for all the ways you inspire and encourage us.

My only tidbit is for safety. Please check if it's legal in your state to wear headphones while driving.

Hi Diana. I like to put calming music on in the background while reading my bible. Since I started doing that, I’ve been seeing more in God’s word. It helps me to focus more on what I’m reading. I’m going through a reading the bible in a year plan.

So how do I handle commitment?? I signed up for a women’s Bible study and I know it’s me but I always back out at the last minute. I think it’s probably my fantasy me that wants to belong be my anxiety gets the best of me.

Personally I found the Bible Recap really disappointing and a very limited literalist interpretation of scripture which is the opposite of my training. I would thoroughly recommend Brian McLaren’s work he has written many books or Richard Rohr’s Universal Christ.The other practice I would suggest is Lectio Divinia
Love love love this and learning from you. But please be safe and be legal - in some states it is illegal to wear headphones while driving and the rule is based on safety. Maybe you can get away with one, perhaps? ❤❤
hi what is your opinion on the 5-day bible reading program?
The habit for quiet times for me started at YWAM. I did a DTS where each day there was an allocated hour to spend time with God in the morning. At first, it was really hard to stick to, but what helped was knowing after our quiet times, we would each share something God spoke to us about or something we learned. Doing this for 6 months daily created a life long habit and joy for spending time with God, that even if my seasons changed or shifted, I always come back to having times with Jesus in the morning (however long that would be ).
I wonder if that could help others wanting to create a habit. You could either do times with God at the same time as others for accountability, and then share what you learnt after... you could also do this check in with others another point in the day.. and it could even be on a whatsapp group! Establishing the habit has blessed me greatly.
