Thanks for another great video Venus 👏Amazing tennis lessons and life skills too, really loving your channel! 😊 Blessings and love to you and your family 🙏❤️
@@VenusWilliams thanks so much Venus! Bless you 🙏 keeping up with your forehand lesson and with a miracle I should hitting like you in the next few months 😁 thank you! 🎾💞
Growing up in small village in India, I encountered Williams sisters among the pages of a magazine called ‘Sports News’ back in 1999 when I was ten years old. I have followed them since then and it is amazing to see Venus sharing her life with millions like me who adore her! When I read about them in 1999, they gave me hope that you can achieve anything in life if you work hard. Today, I am a lawyer living in London and I managed that with scholarships I won throughout my school and college. They inspired me so much back then. I just wanted to say thank you!
Glad to know that even sport superstars have that human side (snacking) and sometimes do not eat as healthy as possible...love you Venus, you are inspiration forever 💗
Do you have a podcast, Venus? This would make great subjects in a podcast- building habits, developing resiliency, how to address setbacks, how to set goals. I think your articulation on these topics based on your experiences would be something many people would like to listen to, including me.
I love your channel! I am 43 , mum of a 10 and 7 years old boy) started play tennis a month ago and got addicted, thanks to my kids. Well, we always ate well and my tip to it is… not have temptations at home. We eat a lot of nuts also, dates are delicious with some PB and strawberries stuffing, well you name It the options with dates, date and nuts bars, balls ,etc …never have crisps, sweets, biscuits, industrialised food in my pantry, dairy just on Fridays for kids pizza, and little gluten. and make food from scratch daily(if I go out for food, I relax a little bit, but never deep fried food). It’s a habit, and I love it! Hope you all find your way to break the bad, just shared my own and hope helps someone, Love Scheila
Wow! Venus Williams struggles with self control...???? This has made my day...I don't feel such a failure anymore. Snacking at night is also a weakness of mine - from tonight, no more...thank you for your candour dear Venue...bless you.... :-)
Venus, thank you for this. Im a 55 y.o. female who recently had to evaluate my eating habits. Although I practice yoga daily and play doubles tennis, I've put on an extra 10 pounds lbs in the last 2 years. I recenly embarked on an intermittent fasting journey and feeling better already. I love the content of your channel. You have such a beautiful spirit. May God continue to bless you 🙏🏾
Hi Venus this is Alvin, I've worked with you, your dad and David Witt several times at the Family Circle Cup in S.C. One of the things I was responsible for was taking care of your dog, I believe his name was Harry, and another thing was making sure you had your apples and peanut butter, your towels and you're Gatorade. Great video, God bless you, your family and Pa Pa Richard.
"breaking bad habits takes as much energy as building good habits" - love this and so true. keep fighting towards the right direction, breaking bad habits + building good ones. i eat too much chips and sweets, not enough veggies, but i'm improving! :)
Intermittent fasting is wonderful! I've been doing it for the past year. When it comes to habits: repetition and replacement (with good/healthy options) is key. All progress is good progress! Love yourself in every moment on the road to change!
Wow! I just saw you on the Tamron Hall show and I'm so glad I did. I had no idea you were more than just an amazing athlete and beautiful face. You are so incredibly intelligent I'm such a beautiful role model for any girl out there. I'm going to buy your book now because I just think you're such an inspiration and I'm thirsty for more of your wisdom ! Thank you so much for sharing yourself with the world! You are exactly what this world needs as a role model!
Thanks Venus. I needed this :) I have sjorgrens and fibromyalgia and a few other health issues and although I’m the best I’ve been in ten years , re slightly less pain and less leg weakness I’m still greatly affected and living mainly in the home or being pushed in a wheelchair outside . I’m 58 and needing to lose at least 10 Kg - ok 15 ! I’ve gained and this is a good motivator for me to try and live my life better . Thanks 😊.
Venus, I love the idea of breaking habits. I’m on summer break from teaching and this is the time of the year where I try to get in the habit of watching what I eat so I don’t gain weight but loss weight. I’ve been looking at so many eating trends and intermittent fasting is one of them. I would like to hear more about your experience. Nevertheless, thanks for the tips on reaching our goals.
It's so simple but so true about that we don't need everything but we need the right things. Its a good quote to write down on a wall :) Thanks for sharing!
Brilliant stuff Venus…I am on that path now! And,as you say,its a day at a time,’Bcuz i am very good at getting ahead of my self.Brilliant of you to share you this.!
Venus, so glad you started posting these videos. I've always been a big fan of yours as a tennis player and an even greater fan of how you've always conducted your life. You're awesome! Wish you even greater success!
I've been a friend of yours in my head from white head beads days. It's wonderful taking ideas from your experiences. Feeling youthful. Thanks Venus continue.
Perfect timing thanking God for you and how his using you am working on Unlearning bad habits and learning to do good . And by God's Grace He will lead in righteousness Thank you Miss Venus God bless you lots of love from Uganda
Love this topic. Please do more videos like this. Maybe share what goes through your mind at 15-40 to your opponent at match point? How to stay calm at important point? What to tell yourself before a second serve? Thanks 🙏
Thanks for sharing Venus, it is always preferable to have small goals and attain them than have these very difficult goals set and then fail to keep up with them
This was good, sissy!🥰💕 You said, "You will need air." When I heard you say that I thought... along your journey you will need little moments along the way just to breathe... Inhale and exhale the toxins and the withdrawals of breaking old habits and building new habits. Good chat, V!👍🏾💯💕
Venus, I can relate to the snacking habit. It starts at the supermarket checkout. I avoid the biscuit aisle and these foods no longer enter my home. Seventh Day Adventists also advocate a plant based diet with intermittent fasting. I had no idea re: King Richard the film. I also know little about the Williams family. I want to know more about this remarkable, fascinating woman who is SO much more than her tennis achievements. Blessings from Norelle in New Zealand!
I love this hair on Venus you look so beautiful. Btw, this video is just in time since I've been feeling a bit down lately. Thank you so much for being so generous with your channel ❤
Awesome video, Venus! Huge fan of yours and I’m so inspired by the practicality of these lessons. It’s easy to look at a woman with your success and accomplishments and assume that you’re past such struggles. Thank you for being open and sharing your truth and your success. I’m encouraged to honor the goals I’ve set. Greatnesses starts there. Look forward to more videos. ❤️
Hello Venus, this is so much appreciated because I also have a snacking issue. I intend to apply these 5 points as I look forward to breaking bad habit and creating a New ones. Thank you very much for taking the time to share 🙏🏽👍🏼👏🏼🙌🏼
Also, if you are new to serving, check out Venus' serving video. IMHO it's one of the best out there for the newbie, or like me who never learned how to serve properly. I learned a lot!
Wow ... great video .. Venus is so poised and simply herself. Really enjoyed it and very applicable sometimes simple advice & instruction can help others move forward! Tell us more Venus - tell us more!
Hey Vinus thank you so much for sharing I would love to see even more videos from one of the best champions the world has ever seen.Your experience and grit is like no other! Keep them coming ❤️🌷Big hello from Australia 🇦🇺
Thanks so much for this video. It came to me right on time when I am venturing into a new journey businesswise and I really have to build new habits and break bad ones for me to win. Thanks again honey
Thank you Venus for all that you do outside of tennis to inspire and encourage others! I can't wait to see you and Serena team back up in doubles . Please say you will be at Wimbledon this year! Best regards to your family and team. ✌️👀👏
Setting goals, writing them down, work out the rules, go for itone day at a time, get right back at it❤ Great advice gorgeous 🤓 Perhaps Paris Olympics '24??
*I really enjoyed this video! Thank you, Ms. Williams* 💐 I wonder how you go about the mentality aspect in different contexts tied to your sport and the work you put in? I found it very interesting to hear about the psycholgy/discipline aspect of going snack-free. As a student I’m learning more and more that I need tools to deal with the psychology aspect of getting the work done even when I’m bored or if I have failed an exam. It might sound dumb, but failing in school when I tried really hard is something I’ve never experienced and tbh it’s something I struggled to accept when it happened some months ago. Talking about failing helps because it allows me to get help and new angles from people employed by the uni. and sometimes my classmates who passed the exam can let me in on how they structured their answers etc. Maybe a video on the mentality aspect on how to continue when things don’t go as planned even if you put in the work? I had 2 exams this year I didn’t pass it was interesting to see how scared it made me and I also wondered how others deal with failure. I came to one conclusion though, that failure is not something ugly or shameful it’s just not pleasant. I tried finding something about this in my psychology books but no luck. I wish more would speak about the emotions and how it affects you psychologically when these things happens. How do you keep going? I come from a home where we never spoke about psychology or emotions and unlike many of my classmates I have no mindfulness tools etc. I guess that’s why I’m now so often ask people how they get things done and stick to their goals even if there are bumps on the way. I have noticed though that motivation is something that comes while I study and not something I can sit around and wait for. /Scandinavian Ps. I apologize for not being able to write this in 3-4 sentences. I know how to do it in Swedish, but my English is not there yet where I can write things more shortened. Edit: Spelling errors😌
Thanks for such a great video, I specially needed it today when I almost quit studying for a course I’m taking. No quitters here now thanks to you! As for what I’d like to see in your channel, it would be great if Serena made a guest appearance one day, just doing anything with you, even just hanging out would be fun to watch!
Great video and awesome subject matter. I love how you threw in tips from your father even.....Please keep these coming....you are a real person and a great life coach this makes a difference with those that come to your videos!
I love these kinds of videos from you. Just to be fair, I'm biased and there isn't much if anything I wouldn't like to hear you discuss. lol. Keep rising.
OOOHHHH I so have those uber eats and insta cart moments. I was sorta having one during this video and you STOPPED me!!! I stopped drinking soda (or anything with caffeine) and now only drink tea, water, or gatorade and sometimes lemonade. I started slowly. I knew that if I went cold turkey I would fall off the wagon. I cut back and each day I drank less and less. The hardest part is when you go out to eat so I will have a lemonade now. Soda is soooo bad for you and yet it tastes so good. Now I let myself have soda on the holidays but I limit myself. I don't cut myself off and say no. But it is few and far between. The biggest thing that I had to do Venus...I had to WANT to do it. If you don't want to do it then you won't do it. If it feels like a punishment instead of a lifestyle change then you won't be motivated to change. (I'd be interested in having you play the HYGGE game with Isha.) So its like the last video but the questions are asked and both you and Isha answer it on your own. For example: Name something you look back at and think "I can't believe I was afraid of that"
Yessss! I was having similar issues except it wasn't late night snacks, it was full fledged meals😆😆! And I also discovered intermittent fasting (I'm doing the 16/8 right now) and it has made a difference.
