"Somehow, George Lucas Returned."
😆👍
And he has had ANOTHER Death Star xDD
"Somehow Gorge returned"
Nice.
😆👍
Cheddar Gorge?
😐
Was just gonna comment that 😂 great reference
They didn't have GPS lol cartography existed for thousands of years but somehow.....😂
ok don't tell me Nazis has occupied Tatoine for this whole time
😆
Actually they were there before in WWII fighting the Allied forces in 1942 and so on.
So... Jabba is the actual goodie in this story? XD
"Somehow George Lucas returned" is something we actually want to hear
I sneaked that line in there
Also, some actual battles during WW2 actually took place close to these locations.
woah! Interesting, thanks
So Indiana Jones is actually entirely historically accurate
I remember Rommel having issues with the Jawas. Lots of theft. The trushti would gum up the Allied and Axis tanks and vehicles.
Cool info thanks! Those pesky jawas!
"And these blast points, too accurate for Bedouins. Only Nazi Stormtroopers are so precise."
Somehow lucas returned
😆
This is awesome! I'm absolutely loving these videos..😊
Thank you 🙂
Earth just hasn't been refound in the Star Wars universe yet
🙂
Love this fun fact!
😀😀😀
That's Canon. Han was fighting nazis on tatooine between A new Hope and the empire strikes back
WOAH! 😆👍
That particular shot of Artoo was shot in Death Valley, CA.
Interesting - I took that from the actual movie - I should have used a shot of the behind the scenes stuff which shows R2 doing basically the same thing in Tunisia 😆
Nice catch...
I knew I’d seen that place before!!!😮
😀👍
Went to Tunisia this year was quite nice.
Woa! Did you visit the locations?
Somehow Indiana Jones time travelled to the future and brought and RPG back from the 50s.
🤔 I may messed up with the RPG 😆
I never realized Indiana Jones used a RPG in 1936 until after watching this lol
😆
Excellent! I love it!!!
😀😀😀😀
Wow ....I never noticed this !!
" Toon-Iz--e-ah?"
Its just the way I talk 😆
@StarWarsUpdate "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" We LOVE the way you talk!
Probably the only one who can spell George's Names for Star Wars correctly 👌
"Somehow george returned".
Well george forgot to document where he actually filmed the first star wars in Tunisia, where in the 90s an archeologist did his masters on finding the sets and George actually hired the guy to show them where he filmed for the phantom menace. I guess george forgot to document the location twice lol
Wow I didn't know that! Cool info!
One more step towards a playable ksp2
I thought rhiae awemed like the same places. Never knew for sure.
Panzerfaust, not RPG
Thanks, but I meant he was playing a Role Playing Game. ... 😆lol. Kidding. I actually appreciate that info !
So when Indiana Jones plays on Tattooine, then it the earth in star wars, or not?😅
Pretty sure my hometown is Mos Eisley, scum everywhere 😂
😆😆😆
Well its literally about space Nazis so yeah...
😄😄😄
Damn, it would be awesome if Nazis were riding Banthas while Indiana Jones was riding an Eopie or landspeeder or something! 😂
😆👍
@@StarWarsUpdate Imagine Nazis in Tie Fighters or aboard Star Destroyers!
Wouldn't that be something?
Utiniiii😅
😀😀😀😀👍
@@StarWarsUpdate 🤪👍
harrison ford as han solo never went to tunisia...
Yeah, I bet he thought he'd escaped it, and then George made him go a few years later to the exact same place 😆
Awesome! How h
Did I not know this. Lol
😃😃😃
Tatooine is earth in the future
Or maybe Earth is Tatooine in the future 😐
@@StarWarsUpdate 💀😭😭idk how that’s work wouldn’t there be buried towns an city’s an spaceships etc 🤣I’m goin wit mine but I do think they made a starwars or Indianjones comic where he’s find han solos spaceship idk something like that or the other way around
Raiders Of The Lost Ark was directed by Steven Spielberg, not George Lucas.
But George Lucas was literally there in Tunisia filming alongside Steven Spielberg, in fact filming as a "second cameraman" to get additional shots for the movie. Here's George explaining it, at 30 minutes 15 seconds: ruclips.net/video/ZmNsn-kiogE/видео.htmlsi=aK-5WY8pJUMWwnba&t=1814
directed by
Palpatine
That's not true about the location of when R2D2 was neutralized. That was filmed in Death Valley,Ca. I know for sure because I saw the documentary lol
Interesting! Perhaps it was a reshoot? They definitely shot the scene in Tunisia (the footage I took this from, literally shows R2-D2 doing all of his R2-D2 stuff in Tunisia). Also here are the filming schedule notes and dates:
Location: Jebel Sidi Bouhlel, Dghoumès National Park (Tozeur Governorate) / Southwest Tunisia.
Scenes:
17 [Jawas neutralize R2-D2] - Filmed: 30 March 1976
18 [Jawas carry R2-D2 to sandcrawler] - Filmed: 30 March 1976
35 [Tusken Raiders spot Luke in landspeeder] - Filmed: 29 March 1976
37 [Luke and C-3PO find R2-D2] - Filmed: 26 March 1976
38 [Luke attacked by Tusken Raiders] - Filmed: 26, 29 March 1976
39 [Arrival of Ben Kenobi in canyon] - Filmed: 28-29 March 1976
40 [Luke finds injured C-3PO] - Filmed: 28 March 1976
B42 [Luke and Ben discover killed Jawas] - Filmed: 31 March 1976
E42 [Jawa bonfire] - Filmed: 31 March 1976
47 [View of Mos Eisley, “wretched hive of scum and villainy”] - Filmed: 29 March 1976
Update from me - I looked in to it further, and you are absolutely right! There was a huge sequence filmed in Death Valley!! They must have mixed shots in Tunisia with shots in Death Valley! Very interesting, thanks for commenting!
I thought I knew it all....
Well now you do! 😀
Poor Harrison Ford
😆
Han solo, back on tatowin.. Um
🤔
Top 3 should easily be #3 hathor #2 brian #1 tom
Wrong! These scenes were filmed in Death Valley.
Wrong! Only the Tuskens jumping on to Banthas, and some scenes of R2 roaming alone were in Death Valley. Everything else was on location in Tunisia including Jawas shooting R2. I have all behind the scenes footage of Tunisia (and I have what was filmed in Death Valley). Here's the shot list and schedule:
Location: Jebel Sidi Bouhlel, Dghoumès National Park (Tozeur Governorate) / Southwest Tunisia.
17 [Jawas neutralize R2-D2] - Filmed: 30 March 1976
18 [Jawas carry R2-D2 to sandcrawler] - Filmed: 30 March 1976

@@StarWarsUpdate you show the scene where R2D2 was roaming alone in your video which was filmed in Death Valley. George Lucas confirmed this in his commentary on the original Star Wars.
I know 😆 I took that from the movie, I should have inserted a bit of him from this Tunisia footage I have, basically a mistake on my part with the editing. Here's something interesting - I was watching a Raiders of the Lost Ark documentary, and it shows George Lucas and Steven Spielberg at the same location in Tunisia, and he's acting out the Jawas jumping from behind a rock and shooting R2, to show Spielberg the place where it happened.
@@StarWarsUpdate yeah cause Harrison ford was one of the original Jawas in Star Wars a new hope.
😐
Did you know this about the film industry? Somehow films use locations and actors that already appeared in other films! ...of course you did, you're not stupid.
It's the fact that it's Star Wars and Indiana Jones sharing the location that makes this interesting though. Maybe not to you.
The hover car and speeder bikes are some of the best vehicles ever made in fiction
Though, was Han ever in any of those moments? I can’t remember as it’s been a long time since I rewatched the original trilogy, so don’t roast me superfans
No he wasn't! I bet Harrison Ford thought he'd escaped travelling to Tunisia for Star Wars, but then they took him to the exact place a couple of years later 😆
The Empire is space nazis, so...
who didnt know this?
Everybody except you, because you know everything.
*Jundland
Doh! I captioned it up wrong 😆 Thanks
Faaaaaaaaaaaaaart - who cares?
You.
