Yes, I still own this 2014 M5 Competition Package. It has 85,000 miles on the odometer, and still runs strong. It has a BM3 Stage 1, 93 octane tune, but no downpipes. Best 1/4 mile run 11:40 ET at 124.53 mph.
On 6/29/19 It had 67,557 miles on the odometer when I changed the spark plugs to the 2 steps colder NGK plugs. Prior to that, the dealership changed the spark plugs at 44,274 miles on 8/14/17.
No. I did not replace the coils; they were still good. One coil was replaced by the dealership (cylinder 4, passenger side), with a Delphi coil; the other 7 coils are OEM Bosch. The Delphi coil is misfiring now, but the car still runs 11.4 to 11.7 - I will replace all the coils in the spring with BMW OEM Bosch coils.
Mack124 - I haven’t experienced any engine problems. I let it warm up before running it hard. Every opportunity I get where conditions are safe (open road/highway), I push it. I take it to the track/drag strip periodically, and have not had any engine issues.
Ty Williams It runs great; I doesn’t drive or feel any different compared to the stock BMW plugs. The NGK 97506 plugs are gapped at 0.20” The stock plugs were gapped at 0.38”
Great video. I'm glad they are so easy to get to. Thank you!
They look like they are at 0.22 that would be more than fine, it's actually the usual recommended gap.
Hi is it required to gap the plugs?thanks
Yes, it is highly recommended to gap the plugs for best performance.
@@cecileversley9910 what if Im just running stock? Thanks
@@cecileversley9910 my car is stock so does it still needs to be gap? Thank you.

How many miles did the car have when you decided to change the spark plugs?

Is it required to replace the coils too? Or you did it since you were in there anyway?

Great video, and very informative. Have you experienced any engine problems?

Are you using these plugs on a stock M5 or is it tuned? Thx
You may think you're making an informative documentary but this is seriously like watching paint dry, gloss paint...!!! (this is so bad) 😴😴😴
